Right, good point. Yeah, so in general, I ain't gonna sacrifice moral integrity just for the sake of upholding law.

I retook the test, pretending to be the goodiest goody-two-shoes that I could be, and I still managed only to get 94% good, 61% lawful.
Retaking the test as myself again, picking slightly different options. This time, I got: 72.2% (+22.2%) good, 43.6% (+28.2%) lawful (lawful good) I didn't think I chose that different of options... Well, we'll call this one, "Verb on a good day," and the last one, "Verb on a shitty day." 45338
The Flood / Re: Thar Be Dragons - An Alignment Test« on: December 29, 2014, 11:14:52 AM »I was a little disappointed that Verb didn't go full Lawful on the test to be honest.eh, if it means i have to rat out on my fellow poorfolk and be pedantic about the proceedings of kid's lemonade stand for the sake of upholding the law, maybe being a paragon of virtue isn't worth it lol see, it's not that i'm lawful, necessarily--maybe pragmatically, but more closely, i'd describe myself as... more ethically conscious than the average bear. and that comes with following a bunch of laws that we've established already--but it also means i can stretch or disregard some entirely. basically, a noam chomsky-esque take on it. i don't follow laws blindly. like jaywalking! if there was a jaywalking question, you bet your ass that i'd gain some evil/chaos karma for that. lol if there were questions like, "do you think you could ever kill a person under the right circumstances?" or "do you drink alcohol in the first place" (instead of imposing the drunkenness on you in one question), i'd probably lean even more towards good/lawful 45339

Questions #1 and #3 sucked. None of the options really did justice to what I'd actually do. To help the old lady get her cat back, I'd probably climb the three and "coax" the cat over (knowing full well that it's not going to respond at all), then jump down and be like, "I'm sorry, I tried my best." Then tell her to bring out the cat's food dish and place it under the tree, or something like that. I ended up going with "call the fire department," because it fell closest to my line of reasoning--after expressing your desire to help (despite utterly lacking the ability to do so), call a third party and see to it that the deed is done.
Question #3 was tough, too, because of the weak options and the completely unrelatable subject matter (I don't watch TV at all, my dad only watches football (and even then, he doesn't care that much about it), and we tend to work out compomises pretty well). Four of the five options were geared towards selfishness, and only one of the options said, "let him watch his game." The fuck? In reality, I would've been like, "Hey dad, looks like my show is on at the same time that the game is on." He'd probably be like, "Oh, really? Haha, that sucks. You can watch your show if you want, it doesn't matter." "Are you sure? Looks like a pretty big game." "Nah, yeah, it's fine." Because I'd probably work it in my father's favor, however, I selected the "let him watch his game" option. I like how the first three options of question #17 (lemonade stand) are all psychotic. In question #19 (music theft), I wouldn't do a damn thing--not because it's "not my problem," but because I just wouldn't want to embarrass the guy or make a ruckus. The question described him as "shabby-looking," which makes me think that he's poor, so I sympathize with him right away. I wouldn't do anything just because I'd feel bad for him. But because of the way the question sets up the answers, I'm probably gonna get a little evil karma for that. But I mean, the other options make me out to be an even bigger asshole, from my point of view... I do appreciate quizzes like this, though, because it forces you to really weigh your options. It sucks not being able to relate with the subject matter, but that's what critical thinking is for. I just wish it was a tad longer. My favorite questions were #23, the one with the worm, and #26, the secret journal dilemma. Best slew of options, very relatable and intense scenarios (for me, anyway) Question #27 (the sleepy driver scenario) was pretty intense, too. I hope I'm never ever in that situation. Question #33 (soliciting in traffic) was pretty dumb. It's hard to envision a scenario where a little girl is going to beg for money in traffic, and how I'd realistically react to such a thing. Quote You are 50% Good. I did expect to be at least 60% good, but I'm content with my results. 45346
