Really. None. No difference. At all.
In a way, I think that makes me more fortunate. Because I'm not hindered by it. I don't let it bother me. It's one less thing, if I'm playing a game, that I'll worry about. That's great.
I use this same logic with music and video quality. I can't tell the difference between 480p and 720p. Audibly or visually. It's better that I can't tell--I can listen to any music on YouTube without being like, "Ugh, this is in such bad quality." I'm satisfied with everything.
So as a result, I think caring about stuff like this--treating frames like they matter, as long as they are consistent--very stupid. And petty. All I care about is the consistency. Saying 60fps is better is like saying two pennies is better than one penny. You'd be absolutely correct--but you look foolish for acting like it makes any big difference.

Better frame rate allows for a more smooth experience, having a low FPS in games can cause motion sickness for some people if it tanks too low. A great FPS allows you to see more of the action on screen without all the blur that a lower FPS causes. Really? Because I can't tell at all. Believe me, if I'm playing a game, the last thing I'm concerned about is the frame rate. Unless the game starts lagging, obviously.

I know that's not what it's about, that's why I called it an example.
