well yeah, of course it helps, but my whole point is that we probably shouldn't care at all

if someone's not bathing, that's obviously a problem, but like

some people are just doomed in the attractiveness department
and it sucks that they're probably gonna be lonely for the rest of their lives just because of that

just because we refuse to see past our own ass

I don't think anyone is saying that, Verb.
i'm just saying, that's the only function of "attractiveness"

it lets you know that a person is healthy and, thus, more capable of having children
because they take care of themselves

and obviously, i think having children is wrong, so

part of having that belief has opened my eyes to the reality that attractiveness is the most unimportant part, logically, of having a relationship

ugly people are no more or less capable of having sex and *sigh* reproducing than attractive people

it's all in your head

Well finding someone attractive certainly helps. It isn't the only factor though.
you're missing the point

i'm making the logical argument here that when it comes to finding a partner, really, truthfully, personality should be the only factor

the fact that it isn't in reality is, to me, a sad reflection of society
it just is

we are just superficial to the core
that's not a good thing

hey gais

plz

I'm gonna take it you're still the type of person who thinks appearance shouldn't have any say in whether people should be interested in their partner?
it shouldn't, no

i'm not saying that i'm gonna settle for some ugly fat chick

i'm just saying--i have to acknowledge that that kinda makes me a shallow fucking cunt

but what if it makes you super happy and change your mind about everything
send me to hell for all eternity, then, because that's how sure i am that that won't happen

I should teach Verby the ways of lifting and he'll get more pussy than a pet store in no time.
i already lift, bro
but only to prove a point

if a girl is only interested in me because of my newly gained muscles or whatever, then i have no interest in her

Verb needs to get laid
if i ever do, the first thing i'm gonna do afterwards is come on here and tell you about how much it didn't change my life philosophy one iota

But to just shut it out entirely is shunning a huge part of your identity as a human bean.
well, good
being human kinda sucks anyway

I feel obligated to tell you that that's not absolutely true. Some aces have relationships without sex.
thank you
for some reason, it did not occur to me to bring up asexuals myself

considering that i wish i were asexual

Well sure, to me it is for the most part. But that doesn't translate to "all sex is pointless".
well, it's a good thing that that's not what he said initially, then

and if that's what he meant, then that's what HE said

i'm saying, yes, sex can be pointless
it seemed to ME that you were trying to imply that sex is always meaningful
Oh, you're new here. That's Verbatim. He's known for being extremely cynical and he doesn't really have any empathy for other human beans.
he knows me, very well

Dude, come on. People can be smart with this stuff. It's just people having fun and expressing their affection for each other. As long as they're being responsible I don't see the harm in it.
yes, yes

and as we all know, teenagers are the most responsible members of society
sorry for being so judgmental

Having sex with your girlfriend (someone with whom you share mutual affection, yo) isn't pointless. I can't really expect you to understand that though.
now answer the question

sex with a random stranger who you do not love

is pointless

YES?

There's no shame in not having lost your virginity, but to call people who have by seventeen "dumb cunts" is ridiculous.
But that's honestly how I feel. If you're having sex that young, I think you're an irresponsible piece of shit.

The Flood / Re: Do you have any "unpopular opinions"?

It's not about just having sex with someone. It's empty if you don't feel anything for the person.
so sex would be pointless, then, yes?

Sex is another level of intimacy. You can't get the rush of affection and attachment from holding your girl's hand as you can when you actually sleep with them.
how do you know that

you're a seventeen year old kid
You didn't have sex when you were seventeen?
You're a dumb cunt if you have sex at the age of seventeen.

And no, I'm a virgin.

The Flood / Re: Do you have any "unpopular opinions"?

Well, there's different kinds of intimacy. Physical intimacy up to and including sex is a huge part of that.

I meant "and", not "or" btw. I revised that bit several times, lol
well, now i'm motivated to have sex with someone

just so i can come back and tell you that it was pointless

thank you for motivating me

Except sex feels good and bashing your head on a wall doesn't. Also sex (or just intimacy in general) is an important part of a healthy relationship. So people who say it's pointless just show their inexperience in more ways than one.
there you go, "intimacy in general"

you can be intimate without having sex
you just defeated yourself

thank you

i tend to question it
