When I say deutschaboo, I mean that I'm learning german and plan to visit (if not move to) Germany at some point in my life. Germany's my favorite country.

The German Empire is German history just as is Nazi Germany, just like the Tudor period was a time in England's history.

It's a big part of why Germany of today acknowledges it and also has preventative measures for it; if you don't keep mind of your history, it may be repeated in your future.
