In some, if not most, cases, it does.
Can you give examples of this?
Strict/lax moderation.

It should have been one or the other.
Because the fucktards wanted a mix of the two, absolutely nothing got done. If anything, we regressed.

The point is that people often use the term "moderation" to obfuscate their fence-sitting tendencies, because it's a nice cozy word that everyone likes to hear, and you're supposed to agree with it.

It's for pussies. And twelve-year-olds.

It's not difficult to pick a fucking side.

Anyone who sees moderation as fence sitting, and therefore bad, lacks enough intelligence for rational discussion.
I'm glad you're aware of your problems.
*cough*
Come to blow your butt buddy?

As it should be. Fence-sitting is one of the most insufferable things one could ever pursue.

Tran
sition.

If you've given this album a listen, what did you think of it?
Did you love it?
Did you hate it?
Why?
What do you think I should review next?

And that's it.

Anthony Fantano.
The Powers That B.
Jenny Death.

Probably that ethical constraints hold back humans in scientific advancement in several areas and that such things as genetic engineering in humans should not only be allowed, it should be widely encouraged. I'm talking like paying people to allow their future child's genetic makeup to be altered with experimental genes, recommend for people to allow alteration of their future child with the genes that have shown to have a correlation with an increase of grey matter and higher intellect, allow for those parents with genetic disorders to change the makeup of their future child to find cures to those genetic disorders. Hell, I even support the idea of "designer babies" for those who want them.
i mean, this is either the best idea ever, or the worst idea ever

given how humans function, i'm tending towards the more pessimistic end

Euthanasia should be allowed with humans under consent
That's hardly radical when euthanasia is legal in several first world countries.
except in the US (aka the only country that matters l0l)

i think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who disagrees with that

unless they're super religious, maybe

If we last long enough, we'll (the species) hopefully achieve apotheosis <_____<
which was the initial question
will we ever achieve apotheosis?

and what exactly comes after apotheosis? endless masturbation? a perpetual orgasm?

so maybe rename it the apotheotic treadmill

and yeah, i think the idea of apotheosis in terms of the human condition is gonna be a fundamentally flawed and sort of futile ideal, in the sense that we're not even satisfied with the luxuries we have today

Probably Transhumanism, not everyone takes kindly to the revelation that walking sacks of meat are inferior vessels for the mind.
but what about the hedonic treadmill

will we ever truly be satisfied, even if trashumanism becomes a reality?
i highly doubt it, hence my beliefs

I dunno. When the song lyrics fit the characters' actions exactly, it feels kinda stilted and cheesy.
