I asked how they were "cheating". That isn't an answer.
if something isn't in the original game

how do you put it in the game?

by cheating

Well fun is fun, right? Why care if you get it "naturally" from the game or if you get it otherwise?
because i didn't get it naturally

it's just axiomatic

not to mention, using mods is basically cheating
How?
How would something like a graphics mod be "cheating"? How is adding more content like questlines "cheating"? How is fixing problems with the gameplay "cheating"?
because they weren't in the original game

was i not clear
Well not really. Saying that it's just vaguely "cheating" doesn't really make sense. You're implying that the only type of mods are ones that make the game easier.
or "more fun"

you're basically cheating fun into the game
i'd rather have the game be fun naturally

doing anything else "breaks the rules" as it were

i think music plays a big part in determining my favorite

if not the biggest

I don't mean to mock you, but this line of thinking seems similar to those people who only want "legit" Pokemon for their collection (un-modded, non-cloned, etc).
nothing wrong with wanting to play legit

not to derail the thread, but that was just an odd example

too bad the "sandwich artist" title is completely fucking asinine and arbitrary

You can make art with food, but food isn't in it of itself art.
If that were true then Subway's employees wouldn't be sandwich artists, yet they are.

"keep your opinions to yourself"

oh my fucking god lol

what else is a fucking forum for other than to express one's opinions on things?...
you're literally expressing an opinion in your OP

why don't you keep YOUR opinions to yourself

Gaming / Re: The purpose of mods

No they are. Saying that all mods are stupid is a subjected opinion. Keep your subjected opinions to yourself.
it's a subjective opinion, actually

and "subjective opinion" is pretty redundant anyway

Is this why PC sucks Verbatim? Because of mods?
it's certainly one reason why PC gaming sucks

even though it's definitely possible to mod console games
