They get locked up in a cell away from civilization. That would be the general idea of a prison.

So, Thunderf00t the fucking idiot (YouTube famous for his "Why do people laugh at creationists" series) made a shitty response video to Anita, so I'll be refuting everything he says here, because it pissed me off just a little bit.

If you thought that Hitman: Absolution showboated Anita Sarkeesian's willingness to make up almost any bullshit just to push an agenda, then you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Really some crazy hyperbole there. I thought that video was pretty bad on Anita's part, and it completely failed to demonstrate her point. Everyone knows this, but if you're honestly going to conflate that flub of a video with this particularly reasonable one at the very beginning of your godawful response, I don't really think you'll have much to say herein.

So now, she's got up this video of what she thinks is a "positive" female character. What a feminist character should look like. Jade, from the game Beyond Good & Evil. And yeah, it's a game for children! With no adult themes whatsoever.
...Who cares? Why bother even mentioning that? What a petty jab.

Cut-priced Lara Croft here, you know, the one with the skintight pink top hugging Jade's normatively beautiful body, and revealing that fantastic pancake-flat midriff? And, of course, her cargo pants, which are just hipster short enough to reveal that Jade is wearing pink panties. All of which Anita has previously told us are "gender signifiers" that degrade women and turn them into mere sex objects.
Which she mentioned in her video. You fucking idiot. It's not like she gave her a free pass on her design. She only mentioned it in passing, sure, because the video was supposed to be about her positives alone. But no character is going to be perfect--not just for Anita, but for everyone. That's kinda how it works.

Thunderf00t then takes a clip of Anita talking about how in the game, character development is built into the narrative in a way that isn't violent, which to her, is a good thing. I wasn't totally on her side there--I don't really think violence is necessarily a bad thing, but at the same time, I can honestly see how someone would dislike the generic "badass" female archetype. So how does Thunderf00t refute it?

...By cherrypicking scenes from the game where there is indeed violence. Wonderful. As if that's really supposed to undermine her general point.

But that was it. That's all he had, pretty much.
Absolutely pathetic.

And yeah, I did post this as a comment on his video, not that he'll ever bother to read it, let alone respond.
Thunderf00t sucks.

obviously, i don't think any possible good could come from that, so while i see where you're coming from, uh

you're wrong

maybe if having children wasn't an inherently shitty idea, i could get behind that

but i also just fundamentally disagree with your statement, "the deprivation of liberty should be punishment enough"
that may seem antiquated or visceral to you, but if it were me, i'd want nothing more or less than what i'd actually deserve

If we deported all the people who didn't like what the government was doing, that's not a great way to handle your citizens.
we aren't going to deport "all the people" who don't like our government, though

besides, they clearly have zero interest in being a citizen anyway

They should be deported.

If they're so in love with a Caliphate, for example, why are they afraid to be deported back to where ISIS is creating a caliphate? Dream come true right?

I think it'd teach these people to shut the fuck up.
I'm inclined to agree.

Actually, I'd like an example of this.
Can't think of any specific examples and be confident in my analysis of them, but there was a big hullabaloo in the British media about not being able to deport certain hate preachers because they could be tortured in the country they were sent back to.
Hahahaha. Wow, that's fucked up.

I'm not understanding the wording on the third one.
Should we deport assholes if their home country is constituted by even bigger assholes?

Serious / Re: What do you think of these "rights"?

The right of prisoners to have the vote.

The right of prisoners to have children via artificial insemination.

The right of individuals who promote hatred and intolerance to not be deported if their original country will not respect their human rights.

The right to not be sentenced to life in prison.
1. Don't give a fuck.
2. Having children is wrong.
3. Don't give a fuck. Actually, I'd like an example of this.
4. No. As Sandtrap said, I'd much rather have you killed at that point, but yeah, no, some people just don't belong in society, at all, ever.

The real debate is basically a couple of idiots arguing and spouting exaggerated rhetoric unfortunately.
Thanks for killing the thread, drunk.

if tomorrow morning someone gave you $500,000 and you had to spend it by the end of the day or you would die, what would you buy?
i'd probably donate it, if i'm honest

but if you're asking me to buy shit, i guess i would just go on amazon and go nuts

i'd probably start and finish a collection of something, like, pokémon cards or something
and i'd get every video game i'd ever want or need

i'd donate half of it, let's say that

I left the very day the site was nuked, and took refuge in some generic IRC with a bunch of my Coup pals.

I still posted on Bnet from time to time, but eventually, it got too cancerous.
The last thing I posted was that "apology for being me" thread.
