I only recently found out it's apparently pronounced "verb-ay-tim" in English. Strange things indeed.
It will always be ver-buh-tim in my head.
Same here man.
is that really how you've been saying my name?... gross

Rape is natural but its not morally okay That's not an appeal to nature. This is an appeal to nature: Rape is okay, because it's natural. There is no "natural, therefore bad." Appeals to nature are either "natural, therefore good" or "unnatural, therefore bad". Nothing else. As soon as you are able to recognize that natural doesn't automatically mean good, you're no longer appealing to nature. So yes, though rape may be natural, that doesn't make it okay to do it. And yes, having children is natural, but it also happens to be one of the worst crimes ever. Yeah i know theres subjectiveness in there but thats another point. No, there isn't.

It's hard for me, because I'm an extremely picky eater, but yeah.
How strict of a vegan are you? Do you avoid white sugar and foods with suspicious numbers in the ingredients?
Is white sugar not vegan? I can't say I actively avoid it, but I don't really know how much I consume, if any at all. I'm also not sure what you mean by suspicious numbers. I'm strict in the sense that it extends beyond my diet. I also wear vegan clothes and have vegan furniture.

Man, I am hungry for a hamburger.
These threads always make me hungry for ribs tbh.
my favorite thing about you is that you always like to "call me out" on my sanctimony, when you're literally one of the most sanctimonious people here

I will try being vegan for a short time someday in the future
I mean, yeah, a lot of vegans I know say they've tried it just as a fun experiment at first. To see if they could do it. Most of them found out pretty fast that it's a lot easier than most people think. It's hard for me, because I'm an extremely picky eater, but yeah. Not to mention, some of the most fit people I know are vegans. And I know you're all about fitness.

Mostly talking about the video Mr.Repzion responded to in his video which I was just reminded of after seeing this one.
Okay, but you did say all vegans...

Glad I'm going to enjoy the hamburger I'm having for dinner tonight. Might add some bacon on it too.
Good. I'm glad their suffering won't be going to waste. It's not detrimental to the individual. You already know how I'm gonna respond to that.

If everyone thought like me society would probably collapse. Okay. So... why come into my thread, then, and be an advocate for your philosophy that you know to be detrimental? Why preach to people that they should focus on "the self" when you don't even seem very confident in that idea yourself?

I would prefer to be looked as evil to the eyes of all vegans than to bow down to a philosophy that I do not agree nor plan in agreeing with ever. You don't... "plan on" agreeing with it? What does that mean? That even if it was shown to be the correct philosophy, you still wouldn't concede? Again, I'm just sort of at a loss for what to say to that...

Okay, okay... I responded to all of your points, but then I deleted it, because I realized that I'm just trying to ask you one question. It's the only question I really need to ask you. Do you honestly believe that people should think like you do? Where do you think the human race would be if everyone was a nihilist?

it's just the most reasonable way to live. Why? If your existence is all there is It's not. You can't pretend as though I've agreed to this premise, because I haven't. It's not something you're gonna be able to prove, either, so I mean... I don't even know why I'm bothering. why would you not want to stretch that out as long as possible? Why would you throw it away on someone else? ¿¿¿Por qué no follando ambos???I guess you're just a better person than I am. and I'm not even being glib Well, thank you? But like. This is so bizarre. Why wouldn't you, then, want to be as cool as I am?... Because it's not as fun? You're just gonna take the easy way? The convenient-for-you way? there's cowardice and heroism, but heroes don't get to live in the better world they created. so what's the point of being one? For me, the answer is quite plain... it's because I'm aware of the fact that there's other people on the planet, and they deserve to have a beautiful comfortable world to live in. Am I a paragon of virtue? Not exactly. If I was, I wouldn't be so angry. I wouldn't insult people so often. That's one of my character flaws. But you see, that's me having humility right there. If I was like you, I couldn't rationally have any humility. You're free to believe what you want, but frankly, I find it a little disgusting, and little bit sad. Because you're a reasonably intelligent person who could probably do a lot to help humanity. But apparently that's just too much of a drag.

I don't even need to be in my threads for my shite bait to work anymore. Thanks guys.
why would you say something like "if you like skyrim, you have shit taste" and then say that you were just trolling that's kinda like making a thread saying, "i consider myself an intelligent human being" and then saying "just kidding LOL"

when you die, your whole world is gone. Not even darkness, because darkness is something
therefore, logically, the most important thing for you should be you
not that hard of a train of thought to follow Apparently, it is, because I still don't get it. Yes, we die, and there's nothing after death, "not even darkness". No duh. Why does that necessitate that we all must live only for ourselves? To me, that only makes me want to live for others even more. The fact that we die makes me want to make life better for everyone. Because we're all "in it together".
