What made you become vegan? When did you decide to denounce animal products from your life, and how do you approach grocery shopping?

I mean, ever since I was little, I thought the fact that we killed animals just for our food was horrible, but I figured it was okay, because everyone else does it. Then I got smarter, and just used the excuse of, "Well, it would just be a drop in the bucket if I became vegan. Not to mention, some of my favorite food isn't vegan." But then I got over that, too.

I made the decision over a year ago.

Grocery shopping is much easier than you'd think. Much of what you don't buy is just common sense, and if there ever happens to be a food you've been buying that isn't vegan, it's simple enough to stop purchasing it and find a suitable alternative.

How did you get into that then?

I learned about the philosophy on YouTube and the logic compelled me.

Not really.

It's all the same to me. I guess conventional would be the worse, but we're dealing with bads so bad it's hardly worth it to discuss the betters.

I have no idea what "moral status" means.

Do we have an ethical responsibility not to harm/kill them? Well, I try not to kill bugs. I let them out when I see them. Should others do the same? Maybe. There's such an unbelievable amount of them, though, it probably won't make a dent if you kill them anyway.

Do you support agricultural biotech (GMOs)?

Indifferent.

What ethical theory do you most subscribe to?

Consent is everything.

What are your views on virtue ethics?

Makes sense to me. I wouldn't say all value is derived from outcomes--I'd say the mere possibility or potential of some bad happening presents a value in itself, because you can be the stopper. But even then, the prevented act is still a positive outcome.

Never precisely, but we don't need precision 99% of the time.

Not particularly.

If you want to live forever, go for it. I don't think life has nearly as much negative value as birth does.

I hate to say "yes", because we're already filled to the brim with core classes as it is. But... yeah, probably.

Absolutely not. If you think you should stop writing your magnum opus of a novel just because you were predetermined to write it, doesn't mean that you should still probably finish the novel. We all have roles to fulfill. You can't just walk off the stage during the show.

Definitionally, yes. In the current social climate? No, unfortunately.
