If you make an argument, you're arguing. I'm (very obviously) talking about the continual back-and-forth sense of the word "argument". If he responds to my post (which, I don't see how he could), I won't respond back. That's called not arguing.

Technically you're arguing. I'm making an argument, but I'm not going to argue with him.

On the off-chance that this is more than just bait and you're willing to have a real discussion:
Being a vegan isn't about being healthy, necessarily. Even if being a vegan shortened my life by twenty years, I would still be a vegan. It's the ethical implications of meat-eating that I take issue with.
Obviously, forcing a pet outside of its naturally-ordained diet is wrong, but it's a silly comparison, because human beings not only can survive on a vegan diet--they also have the self-control and know-how to do so.
I'm not arguing just yet, though. Merely elucidating my position on the philosophy further, because you seem to be under the impression that it makes a difference to me whether veganism is healthy or not, and it frankly doesn't.

what
ears are just for hearing
it was a play on the english expression "hear, hear" which is traditionally used to express hearty agreement, similar to "amen", but without the religious subtext

guys should never do ASMR
when a girl whispers in your ear, it sounds sweet and tingly but when a guy does it, it's just... creepy
and i'm not just saying that--that's like, the gold standard of ASMR there

For me, my biggest issue with her was her unwillingness to have a dialogue with her opposition--no matter how amicable they try to be. There have been times when she may have briefly touched upon a common argument against her position in some of her videos, but never has she directly had any sort of debate with anyone on... anything.
And even though I'm on her side, technically, I sometimes wonder how she would fare if she actually engaged somebody for once. If she was as confident as she was in her videos, she would want the debate. Unfortunately, though, she seems to run from it, which doesn't do a great deal of good for the cause.

I think at its core her message has some level of truth. Which is why its found the audience it has. A lot of main characters are 30 yr old straight white dudes. Many female characters have catered to males instead of females. I think diversity is a good thing for video games as it'll create more interesting stories, characters and perspectives.
If that was the whole of her message we'd be in agreement, but her continued misrepresentation of games like Hitman, and purtianical contradicting standards when it comes to women and violence are offputting to even the people on her side.
Her and Josh should not be the people to champion that idea. Going by their kickstarter history its clear they are in this for the cash. This is why nothing will ever be good enough for Anita. Because she has to continue to be outraged in order to make hundreds of thousands each year. This is why she will continue to be pushed to more and more extreme positions. Thankfully they seem to be losing support rather quickly.
Ramadan Kareem btw
Well, thank you. This is probably the fairest response you've ever given me.

OK for give me for not linking the sourses (Because I absolutely refuse to give that whore or any of her shills from Kotaku/Pollygon/ect. any ad revenue.) but she has said that that stack of games she had was games she's owned and enjoyed before starting her kickstarter. (and your constant statements of what is essentialy "Nuh-Uh" don't have any weight to them) All of them? Every single one? Regardless, this still doesn't factor in many things. She hasn't really expressed anti-violence opinions in the past, so maybe this is a new opinion. That's the nice thing about our brains--we can change our mind when new logic is introduced to us. There was a time when I wasn't a vegan. I'm sure you could find HUNDREDS of clips of my life where I've stated that "I'll never stop eating meat". Does that somehow invalidate my veganism? She HAS expressed a long time ago that she finds games where you shoot each other in the head to be "gross", but her tone suggested that those were simply her own personal thoughts--she wasn't exactly prepared to campaign against it at that moment in time. And so what? Do you have to enjoy every single aspect of a game in order to enjoy the game itself? And her statements about fem-shepard being a sexist icon come from one of her own tropes s women videos (The one about Ms Male protaganist or whatever her retarded buzzword she used was) So you didn't watch the video, then. So you don't know what you're talking about. I only have another ten minutes to argue before I have to stop, because it's officially Ramadan in ten minutes. <_<

"...It is both possible (and even necessary) to simultaneously enjoy media while also being critical of it’s more problematic or pernicious aspects."
^ For some reason, this part always flies over her detractors' heads.

She's just hounding big titles for attention, and by proxy money. Her own people are starting to turn on her on twitter.
They really overplayed their hand during e3.
See, I mean, I don't even see anything wrong with that card. But does that take anything away from what she's said in the past? Does it mean there's still not a kernel of truth with what she's been expressing? No.

Why did you call her Verbatim's waifu?
Because I support (most) her opinions regarding feminism and have heavily enjoyed her Tropes vs. Women series. I don't at all agree with, however, her opinions regarding violence in video games.

Though Anita may be an idiot on this particular issue, AlphaOmegaSin is an even bigger one (except just in general). >Bitches about DOOM being too violent Correct. >Proudly owns -GTA 4 -Gears of War series -Asura's Wrath -Dead Rising -Resident Evil "Proudly"? Do you have any proof of that? Oh, you have a picture of her displaying her game collection. And she's smiling. So that means she "proudly" owns those games? No, it doesn't. It just means she owns a copy of them. Maybe she had just bought them prior to taking the photo, and she simply wanted to show all of the games she was planning on looking over, completely unbeknownst to the level of violence exhibited therein. To say that she "proudly" owns those games, then, is an unfounded statement with no real evidence. >"I dont want to go around chopping off people's heads with a chainsaw" >Owns Gears of War Again, so what? >I'm not a fan of video games" >"Iv'e been a gamer all my life" This isn't relevant to your initial subject. >Hates sexism and wants equality in games >Hates mass Effect for letting you play as a female You're gonna have to provide the quote for that. I highly doubt she's ever said, "I hate Mass Effect because it lets you play as a female." >Proud owner of Mass Effect 2 Again, you're just spewing bullshit.

I feel like I've stepped onto the wrong side of the tracks. I just had an honest talk with Class.
And now you're saying you wouldn't be oppossed to the lady being on top. Is this some full moon type shit or what.
Most people I know, if they have a domineering personality, they tend to be submissive in bed, and vice-versa. I dunno. But I mean, I have zero experience, of course, so I might just be blowing smoke. I'd like to think I'm adaptable, though.

Out of all the people who are considered pariahs by the community at large, I haven't really interacted with any of them. Except Kiyo, maybe, but she seemed kind of small-time.
