maybe true for some women, but not all
i'd like to think a lot of women are perceptive of cocky douchebaggery and again, some women might just not be in the mood to be complimented randomly, no matter who it is

I just have this belief that women ought to have the same rights as men,
But they do
Well, anywhere that's not Africa or generally Islamic or China.
exactly and even still, there are still elements of inequality that ought to be smashed small ones, but existent ones like catcalling

for you to think that the is all right, would mean that you agree with some things about him. no, it would just mean that i get along with him casually i could probably chill with him offline, play some video games or go bowling or something stupid like that some of my best friends offline are people who i disagree with on everythingi'm still able to hang out and get along with them though it's hard to be me and find people who agree with you on a great deal of things anyway

I'm getting conflicting signals here. hating someone on a personal level just because you disagree with their politics is really petty and stupid unless desty hates him for better reasons than that, i don't know

If you are not a believer of affirmative action, then you are not a member of the feminist movement. I've never heard this before, from anybody else, so... I'm gonna take that with a tiny grain of salt. I don't consider myself to be a part of any social "movements" (except for maybe gay marriage, but lookey-loo, mission accomplished). I just have this belief that women ought to have the same rights as men, and I've been taught quite thoroughly that this is feminism at its core.

A little slow? You comment on the real world and the workplace....how long have you experienced in the real world or in a work place? real world? quite a lot, i'd say workplace? none this isn't relevant to anything though you wanna respond to the previous replies i gave you, or

i'd also like to add that catcalling women in the workplace is indeed considered sexual harassment you can get fired for it
as you probably should be

Damn, wish I could just do that to my Boss on a daily basis. by having such a job, you're basically giving your consent to be ordered around
bad example
Unless you own your own company you're always going to be ordered around
what's your point why do you think you have the right to bother someone who doesn't want to be bothered

The uncertainty is just a factor. the uncertainty overrules everything if you were friends with the girl, and she's the type of person who would have her day made better by someone complimenting her on her appearance, then sure, you might have an argument there

Femisim is a movement I neither support nor identify with, because of its sometimes radical nature and tendency on demanding affirmative action, which I believe is a form of racism and sexism.
Feminism isn't a philosophy, it's a social agenda.
it's a philosophy, though and i'm also vehemently against affirmative action you can't just shoehorn the feminists with which you disagree with ALL feminists that's kinda unfair and stupid

So now I need consent to talk to someone? What a joke. you always do if i don't want to talk to you that's the end of it you can't make me appreciate your company

Ultimately the only way to get prejudice to go away is to get everybody to ignore race and sex you can be a feminist and still believe this i believe this i'm still a feminist

i don't understand why that isn't okay. I probably do that at least once a week.
Girls don't look offended when i do it.... it's just awkward, rude, unnecessary, etc. maybe they're having a bad day, they just want to go home, and the last thing they want to hear is from some stupid goon making dumb sexual comments towards them it's not that complicated if you want to compliment someone, you sort of need their implied consent

Why is complementing a woman a bad thing? there's a line "hey, you're looking nice today" - spoken to a friend you've had for at least a couple months that's fine "DAAAAAAAAAAYUM GIRL, YOU BE HOT AS FUK" - spoken to a random stranger you've never met not okay
