so i had the television on (which is rare), and there was a hobbit marathon going on
i have no interest whatsoever in tolkienshit, so i just left it on for the sake of background noise after awhile, the incessant english accents and lame-ass dialogue started to piss me off, so i muted it but i still kept it on four or five hours pass, and i haven't looked at the TV since, until now and there's a fucking hentai playing a hentai on television what WHAT WHY WHAT WHY 33609
Gaming / Re: Gaylo 5 is Rated T« on: August 08, 2015, 11:03:31 PM »
Not to me. The Flood is known for being, I don't know, "scary"? Geonosians aren't.
And no, there's absolutely nothing graphic about oil, at all. 33610

It's probably not as graphic.
Why is it so difficult to comprehend that this isn't black and white. Some gore is M-tier, others it T-tier. 33612

The Flood / can someone explain to me what "meme rap" is« on: August 08, 2015, 09:02:29 PM »
as far as i know, it's rap music that people only listen to "ironically"
whatever that even means like, they don't actually like it--they just pretend to, because ________________. (fill in the blank) why would someone waste time listening to music they don't actually enjoy 33617
The Flood / Re: If you were going to kill yourself« on: August 08, 2015, 07:36:32 PM »
I doubt anyone would take it seriously anyway. And if they did, I would feel like that would be some form of imposition.

There are also a lot of themes in particular that I enjoy--ones that focus on negative aspects of humanity, or life in general.
I like when common tropes are deconstructed heavily, but that doesn't mean the movie has to be dark. The Incredibles and Chronicle are two 9/10 films that deconstruct the concept of a superhero movie. One is a good, wholesome Pixar film. The other is an extremely dark and depressing film in the guise of a bro-comedy. 33621
The Flood / Re: The Gift was great.« on: August 08, 2015, 05:21:43 PM »Just curious. What would ever count in your books to warrant a 10/10?Ummm. For movies, I'm actually a lot more generous. When it comes to music, and especially games, I'm a lot more harsh. When it comes to film, I look for many things, but ultimately, it all just comes down to how much it entertained me. Fight Club, Goodfellas, the Goonies, Stand By Me, the Godfather, the Dark Knight, Requiem for a Dream, and even a couple Harry Potter films are all some of my favorite movies of all time, and I'd give all of them 9/10s or 10/10s. It's rare for me to give a movie anything below a 5/10--it would have to seriously offend me on some crazy level for me to go below a 3/10. What's most important to me: - Likable/relatable/interesting yet flawed characters that I care about. - An original or subversive plot that mixes genres together or breaks genre conventions. - Interesting/pertinent themes or messages that transcend the narrative of the story. - Clever writing. I want dialogue that's so sharp, it feels like an action scene. - A good score or soundtrack. - Innovative cinematography. - Good action scenes. In that order. It also helps to have strong actors--they're always a pleasure to watch, but they are very low on my priorities. 33622

I still kinda liked Kiyo. She was getting pretty bad towards her last couple weeks, though.

The tunnel scene from Willy Wonka.
The snake from Beetlejuice. Large Marge from Pee-wee's Big Adventure. Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Bunch of others. I frightened quite easily as a child. Considering all the random scary shit that happens in all these good ol' American classic family films, it would be interesting to know precisely what the purpose of these scenes are, and why they thought it would be a good idea to have them shown to children?... 33627

Also, Camnator and Dustin are permabanned, so, rejoice for that.
Wait, when did this happen? He hasn't been online since May. Didn't make a thread or nothing. He just left the building. 33629

Deci "quit". He still logs in every few days to lurk. Expect to see him at some point in the future.
Noelle quit, but she still pops in every once in awhile, but less than Deci. Kiyo went off the deep end, apparently. She's gone. Kinder is permabanned for being a fucktard. Numb Digger quit. Assassin 11D7 is gone without a word. Uhhh, that covers it. 33630
