Buddy, I'm not the one cherry picking parts of posts and ignoring the rest. I've had reasonable rebuttals to most of what you posed and you usually come back with "well fuck the ecosystem"
So. which was only after joce asked me if i would eliminate all carnivorous life on the planet, and my answer is still yes, because you've utterly failed to demonstrate how that would have any real IMMUTABLE negative side-effects before that, you had no arguments you appealed to nature ("humans evolved to eat meat, so that makes eating meat okay, durrrr") and you appealed to the majority ("unfortunately for you, no one cares about animals, and that makes us good people LOL")

See this is why debates with you always turn into fights when you don't have the upper hand. It's rather Kinder-ish. you just resulted to a retarded semantic argument out of desperation and you're trying to argue that killing animals is okay, because nature is god and i'm the one who doesn't have the upper hand

omnivores are carnivores omnivores are herbivores
I never said omnivores can't eat plants.
when i say "carnivore", i'm talking about an animal that can't digest plants you dumb cunt fuck yeah, i'm so into playing a game of semantics right now over this subject brilliant idea

omnivores are carnivores wrong calling something a carnivore implies that it can only eat meat just because a human being might only eat meat doesn't make him a carnivore in the sense that he can't digest plants he can

You're right, you disapprove because you feel the need to act like a whiny little shit. "those who were against the holocaust were just whiny little shits" It isn't a matter of strength, it's a matter of deliciousness. "i'm too weak/stupid to realize that my own personal enjoyment of this food isn't worth the suffering it costed" If there was some alternative to meat that tasted better, sure, I'd be all for it.
But there isn't. "i'm a liar--i haven't actually looked that hard, because i'm too stupid, lazy, and most likely fat to check"

Well I mean...all animals reach that point with age. That or they die from other events.
Well, if it's gonna die from age, then it's putting itself out of its OWN misery, then, isn't it?... I don't see your point here.

Should we not as more intelligent beings end an animal's life when it's clear the only thing to continue from it is more suffering? No, we should. Just, I can't honestly see it ever coming to that point. If an animal is starving, and lacks the energy to even sate itself, then yeah, I say put it out of its misery. But that's an extreme circumstance that I don't think would occur very often, given the scenario.

Just don't expect anyone else to do the same just because your crimson-stained panties get tied in a knot when you see others not following your self-imposed code. You're nowhere near important enough to warrant a lifestyle change just because you disapprove. and you're nowhere near smart enough, apparently, that i'm not "disapproving" just becausethere are legitimate, perfectly logical and ethical reasons to be a vegan--but you're just going to ignore that because you're too weak to give up meat I'm going to eat bacon with scrambled eggs in about an hour, by the way. It'll be delicious.
good, i hope you get tuberculosis

Most of us wouldn't be alive in this scenario humans are not carnivores

I concede that if we could muster the will from everyone we could actively fight suffering that animals experience in the wild.
Now, am I saying that's likely? No. But we're talking about a hypothetical fake scenario where all carnivores are gone, so.

Everyone's like, oh people who don't eat meat are so powerful and willful
And I'm sitting here like... you all must be some weak minded motherfuckers.
don't project your insecurities onto me

The only reason animals reproduce so much now is because carnivores exist. You realize that, right? So while it would take a long time for herbivores to adjust their behavior, that's the only reason why they fuck so much. And it's plain silly to suggest that we wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
We're talking about evolutionary levels of adaptation here you realize right? Things that take countless generations and more time than humans have even observed ever?
Humans haven't really observed that much time. And like I said--if overpopulation did occur, we could do something about it. Without killing them. If starvation occurred, we could do something about it. Easily.

No, Emperorbatim's word is doctrine. You are morally wrong to hold a differing opinion, and why would you anyway, since he already knows exactly how everything should be? I DO know how everything should be. Your first fucking post was just the lazy go-to jab, "I'm gonna eat a steak." Wow, what a model human being. We should all listen to what YOU have to say.

And does not the fact that you and I disagree on which we would prefer to happen to us show you that you cannot objectively state whether dying of predation or dying of starvation is worse? No, it just shows that you can easily disagree simply to suit your own agenda. I don't believe that starvation would occur. I really don't. They wouldn't overpopulate, because they would adapt--slowly but surely. If some areas become too saturated, we can sterilize them.

Because overpopulation leads to a lack of food, a lack of food leads to starvation, and starvation hurts a hell of a lot longer than being killed and consumed. This common sense, Jacob.
I love how quick you are to dismiss a credible argument instead of forming a proper rebuttal, by the way.
asking a question =/= dismissing an argument I'm still not convinced that herbivores would overpopulate to begin with. It's ALSO common sense that nature is a lot more nuanced than "if no one eats them, they won't ever stop producing ever."

When something dies its carcass is left to rot. If something doesn't come by to eat it, disease can spread. This requires living beings that consume meat. Unlike you, I'm not afraid of extinction. If the entire human race died as a result of a disease spread by dead animal carcasses, I think that would be fucking awesome. That's exactly what the human race deserves.

Question for vegans : If your distaste is with the food industry, if a plate of meat was put in front of you for free, why would you be opposed to eating it outside taste? You are giving no support to the meat industry by eating meat you did not pay for.
Obviously. To not eat it would be a waste of the animal's suffering.

Isn't being killed by predators better than eventually succumbing to exposure and not being able to feed one's self? No, it isn't. I'm pretty sure we could come up with some kind of strategy to prevent anything like that. Find a way to sterilize all wildlife. I don't fucking know. I'd rather starve to death than be killed and eaten, personally. Have you ever considered that that's why they wouldn't overpopulate?... It would either eventually level off, or they would adapt.

Herbivores would produce too much and with no carnivores to kill them and keep the population stable, the herbivore numbers would grow. So what? As a matter of fact, it does make it okay. Nope, it doesn't.
32962
« on: August 17, 2015, 04:38:11 PM »
...and that makes killing okay. uh, nope sorry it doesn't. try harder why should i give a flying fuck if herbivores become "overpopulated"

And what happens when the herbivores overpopulate and destroy the land? you have no proof that they would overpopulate or even destroy the land, for that matter

So it's not okay for Humans, who are animals, to eat other animals that also eat other animals?
you're young and you haven't had sufficient time to think about this sort of thing but i implore you to do consider it a little bit more deeply than that
I'm not five, I've had plenty of time to think about a lot of things in life.
but not this, evidently

Unfortunately for you, the majority of the human race doesn't give a damn. i'm well aware the majority of the human race is comprised of stupid selfish cunts, yes and no, it's not unfortunate for me--it's unfortunate for the animals you can't even get THAT right
