Do I have to wait or is it available already?
ACTUAL spoiler This is the Washington Post's explanation for Quiet's (lack of) clothes, referencing a plot-centric species of parasite: "she’s infected with a form of the parasite that requires her to absorb water and oxygen through her skin to stay alive."

That would explain it. Pretty much anyone can start a wikia if that's the case, if someone goes throughout the effort of hosting their own site then they're probably more dedicated to the cause. but like if there's already a nice wiki, why do we need a wikia? maybe the wikia came first, idk

Aren't wikias hosted on a service, as supposed to being fully made by the people behind them? Like, aren't they to wikis what proboards and similar services are to forums.
i believe so, yeah

But the Wikia looks better...
and you're getting less information delivered to you poorly on an exponentially slower website

That isn't abuse.
Everyone can still see those posts if they want, they're just uniquely spoiler tagged.
Yeah it's a minor inconvenience but if they are wrongfully reported, it could result in a warning from mods and a retraction of the unique spoiler tag.
That's more than a minor inconvenience, honestly. That would make trudging through threads an absolute nightmare for everyone. I might see a feature like that implemented if we have a minimum of 3-5 reports on a single post, but... by that point, it might be too late. It's not unrealistic--it's just not a good idea, straight-up. Gotta be honest.

What's the difference between them?
well, wikis are more like wikipedia itself: - lots of content - dedicated communities filled with good writers - a smart layout that's easy on the eyes - minimal obtrusive ads wikias are wikis' retarded sibling - much less content - false/outdated/STOLEN content - terrible layout - massive sidebar ads that have nothing to do with the wiki - prone to heavy slowdown and even crashing i also added links in the OP so you could see for yourself

why are they a thing they're always worse than normal wikis they're ugly, they contain less information than their wiki counterparts (if they have one), and they run SLOW AS FUCK-- and they're rather disorganized and more poorly written, too Compare: http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Link - butt-ugly clusterfuckity nightmare http://zeldawiki.org/Link - reasonable, modest, clean, and informative WHAT is the POINT also, wikias always tend to achieve higher indexing in google searches, it seems what a fuckload of shit

Spoiler Well, if I'm to answer the last question honestly, I'd have to say no, I can't <_<

Two spaces after every period, like so. Lots of people do this anyway.
Or, perpetual grammar nazi. That would be fun.

Notice in my post how I bolded the items I deem most important.

the results have always varied from nonexistent to extremely temporary.
And my throat isn't sore because I'm sick, it's because of a motor tic.
fair enough i could still probably easily find about ten better alternatives, but whatever you do what works

Question: Would any of you mind if I separated your "one" response to my post into another thread and moved it into HQ so I have have all of them together neatly once everyone has finished giving their response?
You're going to have to say that again.
he's gonna take all our posts and take them up to HQ to discuss them why he phrased that as though he was having a stroke, i've no idea

Honey whiskey works better than just honey. Besides, all I'd use is a small tea cup of the stuff. Water hasn't helped at all, which is my first/second/third choice for solving a sore throat. what do you have against tylenol doesn't work?

- Forum-only Monitors with special powers
What'd you mean by special powers? What more can you do than edit, lock and ban?
Monitors can only do one of those things: Lock. Special powers would be like extirpating unmarked spoiler posts.

MacBeth dies at the end.
it would be more appropriate to spoil who lived, tbh

- Harsher punishments (24 hr base ban, etc....) - Clearer rules, Spoiler rule - One week ban for intentional spoilers - Thread Specific Permissions - Forum-only Monitors with special powers - More staff I think this outlines what I want rather nicely.

What I can reveal was that Movies are slated to have a spoiler-free window of about two weeks, while Games will be closer to a month. Because it's generally easier (and cheaper) to go see a movie than it is to purchase and play a game all the way through?

in the future, i expect all of you to bitch about future games being spoiled if the rules change on this, not over MGSV only
Absolutely.

Also, what do you prefer I call you? Prime Snake? CIA?
I call her Aria. *shrug*

I'd do it but clearly my ideals don't line up with everyone
as long as thread-specific temporary permissions and harsher bans are included i'm good
I like how, for once, I'm not the one with the most radical outlook in the room.

In general, I think a 24 hour ban should be limited to forced cool-off time for people who are getting overtly temperamental in a discussion and refuse to calm down after moderator requests. A 3-day minimum on bans just seems to be a good balance between punishment and the need for activity.
Coup style. I like it.
