Well if you plan to keep working for the dude and it's a cash under the table type of deal you obviously tell him he accidentally gave you more, because he's gonna realize either way. So you either maintain a good relationship or basically take the money and run.

Monster (Madhouse, 2004, five episodes) The plot is actually pretty intriguing, but I don't know if it's 70+ episodes intriguing. I like the slow pace and the atmosphere is great, but what's lacking to me is the overall presentation. The art style is incredibly fucking bland. Believe it or not, you can have and maintain a gritty and realistic tone and setting without making everything look so visually uninteresting. Everything else seems fine, but I just don't really have an interest in continuing at this point. Like I said, the story is interesting, but it's not that interesting. Maybe if it were 20 episodes long. 6/10
Trigun (Madhouse, 1998, three episodes) Really nothing special. I may have been more into it as a preteen, or something, but I'm just far too jaded to appreciate dumb shit like this in my adulthood. 4/10
Aggretsuko (Fanworks, 2018, completed) Okay, so the premise of this one pretty much speaks for itself: it's a slice-of-life comedy with Hello Kitty-esque characters where a cute little panda-looking thing copes with the daily grind of her soul-crushing desk job by singing death metal at a karaoke parlor. If that concept alone doesn't sound absolutely precious to you, you can safely avoid watching it, because the show is very much presented as is. I, for one, thought it was delightful, and certainly something unique in the sea of homogeneity that is modern anime. Just don't tell anyone I said that. fun/10

MFW anime exposure has caused Verb to miss the point entirely and accept a literal child molester as "Best Girl" when the entire point was everyone in the show being the worst. (But especially Yui)
i didn't miss that point at all actually, i'm just being facetious (even though misato is genuinely my favorite character) child molestor is probably over-the-top though, she offered shinji pity sex towards the very end when their lives are falling apart, but she immediately retracted when shinji said no a child molestor probably wouldn't have cared and even then, whether she was offering him sex is kind of ambiguous anyway, maybe she just wanted to cuddle or something and shinji just assumed the worst

What did you think of episodes 25 & 26 in comparison to EoE?
EoE is also full of even more crazy trivia than what was on that site you linked.
if i didn't already know that EoE existed prior to watching those last two episodes, i probably wouldn't have liked them as much as i did but i did know, so i was able to enjoy them a lot more than the average person i think just knowing how hard the mecha shit fell by the wayside towards the end of that series is incredibly refreshing, because now i don't have to feel as embarrassed to admit that i enjoyed a mecha show, since it's not really a mecha show (though that does sort of complicate things whenever i try to talk about it with the uninitiated) i found the philosophizing really fun, and i think they explored shinji's broken psychology in a very beautiful and satisfying way, especially considering how much i'm able to relate with all his existential issues i still prefer EoE of course, because i'm just a sucker for big, depressing, mindfucky, "spectacle"-type films, and it's obviously cooler to see EVERY single character get their arc fulfilled rather than just shinji's but rather than view it as a replacement, i prefer to look at the two endings as complementary, so that way, i can have fun trying to parse what that all "means" for myself
