I'd take playing as the Seeker Helmet from Halo 5 with Melee Kirby's moveset and pichus self dammage in every game i played from now on if it meant removing Bayonetta from smash.

That's a bit of a weak retort. and a weak retort was all that was needed The BFG looks different in every installment. There's no reason they couldn't make a gun shooting some kind of laser while not calling it by name. I don't care about Doom in SSB and it's fine that you don't want him because it might not fit, but your BFG argument is just a poor one. Plenty of people wouldn't even know what it is.
everyone does, and if they don't, they would learn, and that's not the kind of humor that belongs in smash regardless of what they'd choose to make it stand for, fans of doom all collectively agree that it has always stood for "big fucking gun," it's practically the entire point—they say it stands for something innocuous, but the players know what it really stands for that's the humor behind it, and it's not nintendo-friendly that's just one tiny reason why he'd be a poor fit, and the rest should be arithmetically obvious

It's officially the Big Fragging Gun in original Doom before later being dubbed Big Freaking Gun and even Bio Force Gun in the movie. Plenty of ways to get around that.

because all final smashes have names, that's how it works not calling it a BFG makes it look like they're avoiding calling it a BFG, which is just as bad because again, they're acknowledging an F-bomb it's just a stupid fucking idea on every level

He has cartoony or fictional guns like the BFG-9000, plasma gun, railgun, rocket launcher, etc.
the neck snap got into brawl and that sounds way more violent than what I just mentioned BFG also stands for "big fucking gun" and i'm sorry but you can't get away with that in a smash bros game and you can't have doomguy in smash without his BFG as his final smash, it just doesn't work i don't understand why you'd want a lesser, pussified version of a character when sakurai has gone to such lengths to make each and every character (except ridley, i guess) REFLECT in some way how they play in their respective games I don't like her either but she got into the game in the first place, and I'd argue Doomguy is a more appropriate character than her. Doesn't she use real guns too?
i'd say they're on par with each other in terms of the gratuity they're able to get away with but it doesn't matter i hate her STOP TRYING TO RUIN MY SMASH BROTHERS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE His size does seem to vary a bit as far as I can tell from game to game, and in Smash he's really hunched over which makes him appear smaller.
why are you mad an evil space pterodactyl is in the game ridley's size hasn't varied that much, really—his typical size ranges from "very big" to "fucking immense," and the only time he's ever been small is in metroid 1, which was more due to the NES's limitations than anything else if they remade metroid 1, they'd buff up ridley's size (or maybe they wouldn't now, who knows) it's inherently upsetting to me when you start taking away fundamental properties of what makes characters cool—i don't wanna play as a miniature-ass baby ridley, i wanna rip people's guts out with a normal sized ridley, because the intimidation factor of his sheer size is part of what makes the character cool and scary, and that's gone now i understand it would be imbalanced, but that's why i never wanted him in the first place

the next time sakurai gets interviewed, i want someone to ask him why ridley is in the game after he gave a legitimate, repeated, and agreeable reason why he wasn't in the game for years
he'll probably talk about how bowser changes size all the time and shit, and how olimar and kirby are actually very small, but those are highly stylized cartoon characters, so it works
ridley is a lot less cartoonish, he's meant to be TERRIFYING, and now he's a goddamn shrimp
