As much as bo3 is a complete fucking joke for Melee, it was so good to see him come out on top. He was so hard done by with those visa issues, and it stops people whinging about Melee being dead because Armada/Hbox won and Mango placed outside the top 1 therefore making him washed-up according to experts who started playing because of the documentary and switched to smash 4 when Bayonetta was announced.
What I want from Smash for the rest of this year and 2019:
-B0XX to be universally legalised (in Hax’s nerfed form ofc)
-B0XX to be released for sale
-UCF patch to remove Phantom hits entirely
-joint return of PPMD and Hax by next Genesis
-if Melee is there, bo5 at Evo for at least top 32
-American side tourneys to stop scheduling conflicts with Australia’s only supermajor
-Isai x Zonda doubles team in Smash 64
don't forget samox finally releasing Metagame ffs i actually don't particularly mind phantom hits as a mechanic, because as far as i know, it's just what happens when a hitbox and hurtbox are within a pixel's dick of overlapping, but still not quite—not enough to register a proper hit—which, in other fighting games, would simply register as a whiff so by "removing" phantom hits, would you want them to register as whiffs, or as actual hits?

i would describe jono's message as rude, abusive, instigatory, and perhaps inflammatory, but not harassment—but even then, in thinking about it, all of those terms are pretty tenuous as well

pretty okay, all things considered still writing, still working at my dad's record shop, still going to school at the end of the month, but what's new is that i'm taking my first steps into growing my youtube channel—very soon, i'm gonna start posting game reviews and writing video essays and stuff (because there's totally not enough video essayists on youtube right now), because at some point i need to find a way to make some kind of career out of the few things i enjoy doing, and with my writing and video editing skills, i think i should be getting a move on in that department so hopefully that'll be cool
