yeah i'm locking isabelle and isaac in
i will actively predict that there won't be a big character like geno or skull kid though (or modes, for that matter)
i feel like two characters is already being too nice, given that it's a general direct, but i would obviously be delighted to be wrong

so why didn't they call it Battlefield 2
It already exists. The first Battlefield from 2002 was never called Battlefield 1, it was just Battlefield 1942. For example, they could name the next SF title "Street Fighter I" to signal a throwback or reboot because the original game was just "Street Fighter", but they couldn't name the one after that Street Fighter II since a game by that that exact name already exists. It makes more sense with BF1 one though since it went back to the earliest time period covered by the series and the name is a reference to WW1. All other games in the series were set in WW2, Vietnam, modern day, and near / far future.
this is not a satisfactory answer
Context and basic human intellect is why it’s not called BF2
context and basic human intellect should've prevented the name BF1
It was set in WWI and we don’t normally title the first game in a series with “one”
That’s context and common sense enough for the average person to differentiate the game
not even close why didn't they use the roman numeral "I" rather "1" it's like they wanted to look as retarded as possible

"Character 'slots' don't exist—there's no imaginary upper limit; if they want to add someone, they just will"
"DLC is good because it allows them to add characters that otherwise wouldn't have made the cut"
reddit needs to pick one of these and stick with it

Then again I'm talking about PC games, I don't know if console players have so much games to choose from, now when I think about it.
more than PC, i'd argue

Octopath Traveler
This is a joke, right? It’s a turn based JRPG. I can’t think of a worse genre.
RTS

Why would I pay $50 for anything when there are always some free-to-play game or games in $5-10 range that can do better?
i can't think of any

Why do you buy and support unfinished products?
Because they are already good in the current state. If developer listens to players feedback, it can become even better.
when paying full price for a game, you shouldn't be demanding any less than absolute perfection by paying more, you're only making the deal worse for yourself you shouldn't have to spend more than $50 when the average game isn't worth $1

Octopath Traveler
the problem with games this new though is that they're bound to get some sort of stupid expansion later, because fans have been bred to demand it these days
but yeah sure i guess it still counts for now

oh, sweet
look at that PHRASING—"this is a finished product, bitch"
how do i give this dude a high-5
cringe
cringe “We are not thinking about that at all,” said Takahashi. “The release version is a finished product.” Why do you buy and support unfinished products?

well, it's like you said, they could just incorporate all of his different phases into the fight, not unlike what they did with master core
which would actually make more sense than having skull kid take the form of Wrath, because that technically never happens in the game—the mask, majora himself, only changes form after he's already disposed of the skull kid as a host
i'd obviously still prefer him to be playable, i'm just trying to find reasons not to get my hopes up at this point

not saying it won't happen, but it's been argued that the moon's place as an AT kinda takes away what his most obvious final smash would've been
he'll obviously be in the game, but i think it's a tossup between playable character and boss at this point
also incineroar is a piece of shit, i really hope he doesn't get in

it won't be a big character IMO
new animal crossing game + isabelle echo announced alongside it is my guess
it could also very well be isaac, since he has earth-based moves (according to some golden sun fans i know), which would explain why they'd choose to delay the direct
2364
« on: September 06, 2018, 11:06:02 PM »
so, there was gonna be a direct for the 6th, but an earthquake has caused them to delay it to the 9th
never mind, a date hasn't been confirmed someone linked the UK nintendo twitter to me when i got the news, and i read "7/9/18" which i assumed meant "september 9th" because my brain just glazed over the "7" i guess sorry, i'm just fucking retarded—in my defense it was 3 AM

Does MCC count? It has a whole separate game as a DLC (ODST), but it was not a part of the original release.
collections are nice and all, but no i wouldn't count them
