What are you interested in
writing, nothing else

journalism is out of the question, i don't want to work for anyone and i don't want deadlines

ideally i'd be a novelist writing for the sake of the art itself, not to get money—but i'd have a patreon or something, so if i were to actually manage to build some sort of following, people could support me that way if they're interested

that's the dream, but i'm not in a position right now where that's the easiest thing in the world to just do

The stem meme strikes again
This doesn't help
STEM is not a guarantee of employment. Teach English verb.
absolutely no interest

Those are usually two different people

The follow your dreams crowd are a bunch of shit eaters
they ALL are

the only intelligent advice anyone has ever given me regarding college is "don't go"

except nobody has ever told me that

I regret buying the remaster

it wasn't worth that price

should have been a smart cookie and waited for a sale
yeah i would not have bothered if there wasn't a switch version

but DLC + getting to play it on the go is definitely worth $40 imo

"who cares about STEM, you should study whatever you want if it's your passion, what good is a degree if it's just going to make you miserable"

"wtf why would you choose to study something so worthless? you should switch to STEM so you'll actually make some money in your life one day idiot"

everyone on this planet can just eat shit and die honestly

How difficult is it to change your classes / major? Sounds like a lot of your issues come from what you've decided to study.
extremely difficult, and no, not at all really

it's more to do with my financial situation, and the prospect of me being yet another kid who's probably never gonna be able to climb out of the mariana trench of debt i've created for myself is beginning to take its toll on my sanity

to put it extremely lightly, i have absolutely no interest in any other subject beyond what i'm currently studying, so that would be the difficulty there—to put it more accurately, i would genuinely rather kill myself than spend my time learning about something i actively despise doing work for

not to mention, it would be a colossal waste of the 4 years i've already spent here for me to just suddenly drop everything and study a completely different subject—it would effectively double the debt i'm already in, and it would make me all the more miserable, because i had to give up my passion (the one thing everyone has been telling me to never ever do)

basically, it just so happens that the only thing i enjoy doing in school—my one passion—is completely worthless in terms of getting a job somewhere, not that i ever wanted one in the first place

i went to college to learn, not to get a fucking career—that was my mistake, and that's why i need a time machine

Undo? You want to choose a different major or just drop out completely?

You could go to some consultation in your college and ask what options you have. Most places will try to accommodate your choices. Anything to stop you from dropping out basically.
i want to go back in time and kill myself before i ever enrolled (or to just stop my parents from pressuring me to do so)

i am requesting step by step instructions on how to do that
Kill yourself then, kill yourself now, what's the difference? You're still dead.
in that case we're all gonna die so why don't we just kill ourselves right now XDD
cuz you wanna be dead and i don't
it's not that you don't want to be dead, it's that you don't wanna have to stop living to get there

or you just haven't thought hard enough about how awesome being dead is

I like how when you log out and view this thread, you see that it has 3 pages instead of 2, where 3rd page is the copy of 1st and before there was 2 actual pages, 2nd was an empty placeholder
is this a mobile meme, because i have no idea what you're talking about

That was my point. I’m also expressing my own sentiments, that I don’t want to do any of that. That I don’t know what I want to do, and that many of us are in the same situation with nobody to give us advice because there just may not be any.
i see, my bad

maybe the system will just crash some day and they'll have no choice but to forgive everyone

that's my pipe dream

What else is there? Take a trade, start a business, or get a job. Or become a criminal. I feel you on the fact that you didn’t ask to be born and be forced to make these decisions (or have them made for you), but what can you realistically do apart from killing yourself?
whine and vent on the internet, which does a lot more for me than you would imagine

without having this outlet, keeping these feelings welled up inside could easily have manifested in more dangerous ways

trades businesses and jobs fit very nicely into the "easier said than done" category, because if they were that easy, i wouldn't feel the need to be emo on the internet about it—i would just have a job that feeds me, and everything would be hunky-dory

getting a job also wouldn't solve my overall happiness issue, and would indeed exacerbate it

for once, i want someone to admit that i'm just fucked six ways from sunday—the honesty of it would almost be more satisfying than someone giving advice they think i haven't heard already

Too much debt? Worthless degree? Both?
bingo bango bungo, but it's also more nuanced than "i'm stupid and i chose to study a field with no market demand"

i don't necessarily believe in the concept of "worthless degrees" because having a degree at all actually did get my father a job he never would've gotten without it, once he actually got it (and he was in his 40s)

but it's things like this + having just the right number of intelligent and successful people give me just the right amount of encouragement, telling me personally that i should study whatever the fuck i want + me having an unrelenting desire to give a middle finger to the system that has = me continuing to pursue this stupid english degree that has resulted in my current position where sometimes i'm overwhelmed by the sheer absurdity of it all, and i don't know whether to laugh or cry

I know a few courses you could enroll in that could teach you a thing or two about time travel
i'm all ears
actually they would give you the foundation for learning the basic components that would allows you to get your feet wet in the field that could lead you to time travel

And networking
NETWORKING

i can't wait to make some CONNECTIONS with my peers and the accomplished professionals in this field who will definitely help me GET MY FOOT IN THE DOOR to this highly competitive career path

it looks like i'm gonna need some financial aid to afford these classes, though, so i sure hope my fucking FAFSA doesn't ensnare me into a demoralizing kafkaesque nightmare and delay my awards for the next two months because my mother absentmindedly put down that she was "never married" instead of "unmarried"

that would be a shame

It was the sjws comment from earlier that got me confused. I've never heard anyone yet to justify sexual violence by comparing it to regular violence. Plenty of people love to point out the violence vs. nudity argument.
for the record, i also think there's good precedent for why we tend to find sex (in general) more taboo than violence—violence is just a staple of drama that is often very necessary to tell certain good stories, whereas 99% of the time, sex scenes add fuck all to the story, and nobody wants to see them—it's like having a scene where the main character takes a shit for no reason

it's not really that we're sensitive about sex, or that we'd rather see people die than make love—it's that nobody's fucking interested, because there's a time and a place, and when you're watching a movie, you're there to see a story being told, not to jerk off

not to mention sex scenes are almost always awkward as shit, the dude always looks like he's fucking her belly button and he always finishes in less than 10 seconds, it's fucking retarded

2250
gigguk is eh

probably the normiest weeb imaginable but i guess i don't hate him

i might have to make my own damn video discussing why sexual violence is regarded as more taboo than actual violence, because it's so fucking obvious to me, yet no one else seems to quite get it
Who says it’s not worse? Perverted closet pedo weeaboos?
pretty much, and children/zoomers who just don't think too hard about this kind of stuff, because they're just so desensitized to everything
