the point is that there are varying degrees of asshole, and no two assholes look alike you might be the average asshole--breathes air, takes up space, eats meat, that sort of thing--but on top of that, you might also be a bully, a troll, an idiot, a thief, a vagrant, a murderer, etc. etc. being an asshole is not incontrovertibly negative, because certain asshole behaviors can actually have positive effects, like you brought up--a little bit of asshole allows for stronger camaraderie, among other things in a perfect world, though, we wouldn't have stupid shit like banter--people would just get along, period thus, we're assholes--and the specific type of asshole i consider you to be is the exact type of asshole that you think is a necessary if not natural component of a tightly knit internet community such as this one you associate the word "asshole" with too much negativity--it's certainly not a positive thing, but at least it's a personality

Voting third-party is pretty dumb.
Unfortunately third-party candidates will never get farther than Ralph Nader did in 2000, and those votes could have gone to Al Gore.
Any third party that gets at least 5% of the ballot on election day will receive greater representation for the following election cycle. They'll get federal funding, equal ballot access, a spot on the debate stage, etc.
That said, if you're going to vote for a third party, actually pick someone good. Like Jill Stein.
