i'm worried about driving well

pfft, the driving test is so easy even 5 days behind the wheel is more than enough time you need to take it.
not if you've been exponentially petrified to start driving every waking moment of your life for the past six years

even then, it's not my decision--i'm literally prohibited from taking the test until august 25th, so i need that 30 days of practice whether i like it or not

and i do like it

I got my license one week after getting behind the wheel of a car for the first time.

Also, format-wise, I recommend that you name each spoiler tag, like so:

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
Part 7
Part 8

you don't have to, but i think it looks a lot cleaner

Lol wtf you don't need a permit
Just take the test
Yes, you need 30 days of state-permitted driving with a parent or guardian prior to taking the road test. It's the law.

Even if I could just take the road test, that would be retarded, considering I'm a novice driver who only barely knows what he's doing at this point.

RIP Wade

Protip: When it comes to training shrimpy 'mons, I'd recommend switch training them until they learn at least another move.

I don't wanna influence you too much, but yeah, that'll save you a lot of avoidable deaths.

Also, maybe I'm just blind, but your dialogue can be a little difficult to read in certain panels. The letters kinda squish together, and I have to take a moment to figure out what it says. Maybe increase the panel size to give you more room?

i hate that its a constant list of everyone youve pmd with no organization and you cant even look at what you wrote

like do something like bnet how we have separate pm things and we can VIEW our own pms like a little instant message thingy
you can view PMs you wrote

go to your PMs, hover over the "messages" thing, and click "sent items" on the dropdown menu

Hey im avoiding your ds thread because i dont want to ruin my eventual experience playing it but i was wondering if you considered the idea of streaming and recording your playthroughs live.

I know you have ps4 so if you ever get around to playing the rest of the souls games itd be a lot easier that way.
That's a fun idea. I have an Elgato, so I can basically stream anything I want.

If people would watch, I'd definitely consider doing that.

Yeah, but It at least gives you a chance to blast a PvP chugger in their faggot cunt face with a Soul Gyser for being the sub human peice of shit that he is.
why don't people just use lloyd's talisman instead of making it taboo to use a simple item

isn't that what it's for

*Bear in mind that this footage is a month old.

So, I hope you guys like my new digs--it's a full Eastern Armor set, and I think it looks pretty fucking dapper, myself.

Anyway, the strategy I used for the Iron Golem was actually something I came up with by complete mistake. I may have mentioned this during the last update, but my initial gameplan was to just start lobbing all of my Fire Orbs at him while he was dazed. I figured, since he's made of iron, fire must be his weakness. Though my trusty Firebombs had dealt some regrettably low damage, the orbs dealt a lot more, so that plan was working pretty well in my favor. Trouble is, I can only throw five orbs at him before I run out, so I had to make them count.

During one attempt, however, my finger slipped, and I accidentally activated my Power Within spell instead. This was not what I wanted at all--because even though you get a nice damage boost, your health also slowly drains over time, so it seemed like a pretty shitty idea at first...

But man, that damage boost is pretty intense. One Fire Orb under the influence of a Power Within boost dealt over 200 points of damage, which is a massive chunk. After discovering that, I officially adopted Power Within into my full strategy. Striking him a few times at the beginning will put him in a stunned state where he's vulnerable for like, twelve whole seconds. During this time, I just bomb him to near-death with my boosted Fire Orbs for 1000 free, guaranteed damage. It's very satisfying, but having my pyromancy flame in my left hand feels kind of awkward.

Dodging his axe swings became easier and easier with each attempt--I think he only took me five or six. Which sucks, because I've heard that people tend to have an easy time with this boss (except for Gasai, I guess). One of the bigger mistakes I kept making was that I always locked on to him for some reason, even though locking on to bigger enemies is generally not a good idea, because your weapons tend to gravitate towards the center of their body--typically, between their legs, where there's only air to hit and nothing else. On top of that, I was using a goddamn spear, so that didn't really help matters. But ah well, it ended up working out in the end.

The whole reason I opted for the Lightning Spear was because of its damage output. It simply did more than any other weapon I tried, and everything that could've done more, like a club, I just didn't meet the requirement parameters for.

Perhaps his most annoying move is the one where he picks you up and slams you down. Once you're grabbed, there's nothing you can do but watch yourself lose 80% of your health in a very humiliating fashion. He also had stomps, ground-pounding punches, and giant upward swings, but the two most dangerous attacks were his standard delayed axe swipe and his grab. Everything else was generally easy to avoid and not a problem.

His music is pretty okay. I don't love it, but it's a little better than the other boss tracks I've heard so far, except for the Moonlight Butterfly. Still kinda waiting for a boss track to just utterly blow me away.

Of course, after taking him out, I finally ended up in the promised land we've all been waiting for: Anor Londo. I barely scraped the surface of this area the last time I played this game, and I'm very excited to get back to playing so I can see what this place is all about. Stay tuned for that.

I expect to have the Iron Golem video up tomorrow, but if my editing software keeps performing the way it has been lately, I may just end up posting it without commentary. I don't wanna have to do that, but this should've been posted at least two weeks ago, and I kinda just wanna move on and talk about the next area. So, let's hope things go over well.
mehhhhhh

So, due to long-standing technical difficulties with absolutely no signs of clemency in sight, I've decided to go ahead and upload this Iron Golem boss fight without commentary. I'm utterly fed up with having my entire playthrough on hold because of my perfectionist attitude when it comes to video editing--so instead of worrying about it any longer, I'm just gonna upload the raw footage.

I don't expect anyone to watch it--it's a simple three minute video, plus I included the cutscene where those skinny demons grab you and fly you up to you-know-where. I really wanted to add commentary to this fight, but at this point, it's literally the only thing keeping me from playing the rest of the game right now--because I don't want to play too much of the game without posting an update here.

70-80% of my problems have to with personal and exogenous factors--the fact that I live with my family doesn't really make things very easy to edit videos, because I essentially have to wait for days in which I'm home alone to record anything. I don't live with very courteous or quiet people, you see. The other 20-30% has to do with my terrible software. I use WMM, because I'm too good of a person to pirate anything better. WMM sucks a million dicks, but it's what I've basically been working with since the beginning, and it hasn't given me any major issues until now.

So yeah, I'm uploading the next video now, but it won't have commentary. Sorry. To compensate, I'll just talk about the fight via text. Not nearly as interesting, I know, but I've forced my own hand. I'll try my best to add commentary to future boss fights, but I'm frankly sick and tired of even trying with this one anymore, so I'm just done with it. All I want to do is just get back to playing, because it's been yet another month, and I promised that I'd finish this fucker ages ago.

I want to have this game beat by the end of this year, so no more stupid delays from now on. I'm back.

thank god for slam poetry
what even is slam poetry

it's sounds basically just like a rant but she's written it out beforehand to make it more fluent
yeah

you just write a poem and then recite it with FEELING

it's pretty cool when done right but most slam poetry as it is now is dominated by tumblr feminist types, and it's just a little embarrassing to watch
