Nah, she was constantly on her phone. I tried to share something with her and she completely ignored it.
It's pretty easy to see why we aren't together anymore. Also, if you share something with someone you should be paying attention as well.
i agree on principle--it's not something i would do

>watch a movie with someone >every time something cool happens I look over and they're staring at their phone >afterwords they say "it was okay I guess"
Bonus points if it's stand-up comedy. Irritates the hell out of me when people complain about something not being funny when they didn't bother to pay attention to any of the set-up.
My ex did this constantly.
"This movie is very important to me and I really want to know what you think about it"
And she was on her phone the whole time.
I think it's fair if you're the host, and you've already seen the movie 5+ times. It's only rude when the guest does it, imo. But yeah--I will literally take your phone if I'm trying to show you one of my favorite movies. I don't give a shit. Edit: Unless you meant she was on her phone as you were telling her your thoughts. That would be shitty of her.

Just seeing people use their phones at all pisses me off.
I have one now--I never use it ever.
What's so hard about putting it the fuck down every once in a while?

oh, and with regards to the kickstarter thing, the only person you're allowed to be upset with in that regard is yourself, for being stupid enough to pledge money towards funding a video game
learn from situations like mighty no. 9 and learn how to spend your money as if you have a fucking brain
otherwise, the fact that the shitty game even exists is partially your fault--and not entirely theirs
edit: i'm using "you" in the general sense by the way--i realize you're (probably... probably) smart enough not to waste money funding some random indie game, but if you have/would, just know that it was YOUR decision to pledge the money

people are really this mad about an indie kickstarter game that wasnt even bad
2016 is wild
The fact that it was a kickstarter game, entirely funded by fans, is a perfectly valid reason to be upset about it.
0 - Content (Witcher 3) 1 - Apathetic (Titanfall) 2 - Mildly disappointed (Super Smash Bros. for Wii U) 3 - Disappointed (The Order: 1886) 4 - Majorly disappointed (Destiny) 5 - Upset (No Man's Sky--where it should be) 6 - Angry (Duke Nukem Forever) 7 - Livid (Mass Effect 3) 8 - Vindictive (No Man's Sky--where it is) 9 - Apoplectic (???) you're absolutely correct: no man's sky is a 4-5 at best in this hierarchy of mad i just pulled out of my ass but during the first month of its life, it's riding snugly in the 8 range, and it shouldn't be you can be upset about the game all you want, but NO ONE should be angry--let alone vindictive people are just babies, the end

SFV on PC is safe to buy now, but with the current state of the game, I can't really recommend it too highly.
WHICH IS SO FRUSTRATING

I FINALLY SAW IT
Is it really that rare? I've seen it like six times in the past week.
1/500 I want to make it harder to find, but we're coming to a point where I should be finding a new avatar anyway. This one has run its course, I think.

i love that the one rule enforced on serious is the rule that you cant call someone mean names
It's not enforced at all honestly.
It is if things start getting out of hand (ie. when it matters), and things have been pretty okay lately in that regard.

New DM bands take note and stop being clone bands/sucking total ass.
still waiting for that thread where you embarrass yourself trying to explain how tool isn't metal
Numetal isn't metal
yes it is, but tool isn't even remotely close to nu metal nu metal is disturbed, korn, etc. and they're metal too--it's just a different kind of metal (a shittier kind)

But this is a goofy thing to argue over, the word used to describe what my body looks like to most people isn't all that important.
you're right, it was jacked it's still not a word i'd use to describe anyone other than bodybuilders, and people have a tendency of saying nicer things than they really mean to people they know--it's just how social interaction works, and you should have a mental filter that clears out these exaggeratory remarks it's important because it affects how you view yourself, and unless you're someone who's comfortable with having a false image of yourself, i would take care to weigh the compliments you receive against some objectivity either way, it seems people always need to be taken down a notch no matter what they do

That went pretty quick, tbh. July and August were fucking slow and suffering.
yeah same clearly it's all just dependent on our individual situations but i just find it jarring how i'm the only one who ever has slow septembers

it's almost 2017, man
that's such a fucking futuristic sounding year; 2017's the kind of year all that tom clancy future advanced cyberwar soldier shit takes place in
i always thought 7 sounded much higher than 6 i mean, it IS, but it sounds almost 2 places higher for some reason maybe it's because it's two syllables

Because it's not an argument
"You're a Trump supporter, so nothing you say is to be taken seriously." ☑ ad hominem ☑ argument ☐ insult "You're a Trump supporter, so you're a shithead." ☐ ad hominem ☐ argument ☑ insult

The problem is that people don't know what an ad hom is in the first place. An ad hominem is when you dismiss someone's argument based on the fact that they are a tranny nigger faggot.
Vanilla insults and name-calling are not ad homs--they're insults and name-calling. If someone calls that an ad hominem, then they're just too ignorant, and arguing with them is probably a waste of time.

Nah fam, it just so happens that people who smoke weed enjoy getting fucked up. Something they likely would've never realized had they never smoked or gotten drunk.
