It's making fun of those "relatable post #636 - when he looks at you and your day gets better" posts on Facebook.

Also, this thread made me realize that an "Ocarina" is an instrument.

Can honestly say I never knew that's what it was.
You've never played Zelda?

Such a beautiful instrument. If I had one, I would practice every day.

Do I get the cheap less-than-$20 one that's modeled after the Ocarina of Time, or do I save  $100+ for a quality one?

Tentative team, based solely on how cool they all look (especially when grouped together like this--hot damn).

The type balance is pretty piss, though. Two grass, two bug, two dark.

If I had to pick an Alolan form to use, I'd pick Ninetales. The rest of 'em all suck a bag of dicks.

Here's a non-shit template.

High res, solid white blocks, and includes Alola forms + Zygarde forms.

Only liberal shitholes support Hillary. I'm proud Finland and Russia are supporting Trump.
Trumpets will believe anything to not realize Trump is only hurting himself. He could have easily won if he'd not be an idiot.
trumpets is really lame think of a better word
Chumps
Trumplings
Trumplodytes

whichever sounds more condescending

Was the game really that good?
It was phenomenal. The characters, the story, the themes, and the setting were unreal. There's an element of charm to the game that I can't say I've ever experienced with anything else I've ever played. It's such an immersive experience to go through the game for the first time and gradually explore the world they give to you, and see how the story unfolds. The good thing is, assuming you aren't just trying to blaze through everything and take your time to run around and do other activities, the game can take you a full twenty-four hours to complete, even more if you're really trying for all of the challenges and awards.

It's the only game that I find so enjoyable that I can play it over and over without getting sick of it, no matter how many times I do a run-through.

Really, what set this game apart from anything else is the atmosphere and setting. It was released in 2009, and it looks better than the majority of titles I see being released nowadays. You legitimately feel like you're in the Old West when you're playing the game, and I can honestly say there are times I play it solely for the purpose of riding around and looking at the vistas. Everything feels... Legitimate. You can tell that the artists spent an unbelievable amount of time making sure that every little detail in the game feels like it belongs in a Western setting.

Everything about this game is fantastic. I fell in love with it the second I started playing.
I was originally just skeptical of it simply because it's Rockstar.

Then again, Rockstar made Bully... which is easily in my top 50...

Thematically, yes.

Yeah, I should've figured they were gonna pull some Magikarp -> Gyarados shit with Wimpod. It'll have a spot on my team for sure.

Still hoping there's more that we haven't seen yet, though.

I don't really get the whole "this guy's possession's are all I have left of him" thing, my memory of my father would be more important than his stuff.

Granted, my dad's not hugely into collecting and besides his money, I'd basically be inheriting a few old computers, his Ipad, and a wristwatch. Assuming my brother or mother don't want to hold onto them.
Memories are dandy, but I dunno, some people are a little more hands-on than that. Tactile memorabilia keeps the individual alive not only in memory, but as a physical vessel from which I can derive somatic value. In other words, it's not so much the Malibu itself, but who the Malibu represents. Who it came from. How it got here.

It's hard to explain.

Yeah, he's kinda the best. I need to spend more time with him.

The Flood / question
« on: October 17, 2016, 11:28:05 PM »
So I was talking with my dad the other day about all sorts of things--mostly life, childhood, purpose, that sort of thing--and at one point, death was brought up, because my dad's health has been in decline as of late. I think he worries too much, but it's hard to deny that his age is catching up with him a little bit.

Anyway, he made it clear during this conversation that, whenever he does pass away, he wants me to have all his most precious possessions and everything he's ever spent time collecting--records, Star Wars merch, Hotwheels, baseball cards, his Malibu--and that I could "do whatever I want with them." Basically, he's under the impression that I'd sell them for money when he dies.

I don't know about you, but I couldn't possibly fathom doing something like that, even if I absolutely needed to. Not only would that be highly disrespectful in my eyes--it would be an insult to his memory. When it comes time for my dad to pass, those things would be all I'd have left of him--I wouldn't sell them for anything. I told him this, and he basically said something to the effect of, "Well, if I'm dead, I probably won't be caring too much, eh?"

My dad's always been somewhat of a nihilist when it comes to death. He genuinely wouldn't care what I'd do with all his old stuff. Still, I don't think I could do it. What would you do? I won't be surprised if I'm the only one who feels this way.
