Judging by the replies to this thread, one is lead to believe that no one is fat on sep7agon. Surely there's gotta be one or two.

This has been garbage but 2013 was also garbage.
Because they still haven't ported Trump: The Game to next-gen?

I'd argue 2014 was worse.

>Nearly all the hyped up heavy hitters of the year such as Watchdogs, Titanfall, Destiny and Far Cry 4 all turned out to either be massive pieces of shit or slightly below/above average games
>The failure of AC Unity
>The failure of The Evil Within

I can count maybe 3 games that were good (Alien Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, Wolfenstein) and one that was great (DA: Inquisition) and none that were excellent. In fact, the only game that comes close to superb was The Last Of Us remastered, if you even want to count that.

Then you had the whole goobergate controversy that split the gaming community in two.

So nah fam, 2014 was pretty garbage.
Yeah, you make a pretty good case. I'd still say 2016 is up there in terms of bad years, though.

The Video Game Crash of 1983.
To be fair, Nintendo saved video games the exact same year that the market crashed.

edit:
Never mind; the NES wasn't out in America until 1985. My b, I knew that.

Still, the crash was strictly an American thing--video games were still thriving in Nipple Land.

Both praised and games I enjoy a lot.

And yeah fair enough on the re-releases
Also, keep in mind the ratio of good games to major disappointments, as well. Homefront, Mirror's Edge, Quantum Break, The Division, Star Fox Zero, Deus Ex, Street Fighter V (launch), and (of course) No Man's Sky.

Every year has its good games, but 2016 appears to have had the highest concentration of disappointing or straight-up bad games in a long time. It may just pile up, too, depending on how well games like Pokémon, Persona 5, and the Last Guadian fare, among others.

2016 has... uh, Dark Souls 3?... In general, it was a year of mass disappointment, delays, and stagnation.
Battlefield 1, Civilization 6, Skyrim Remaster (free), Total War: Warhammer, Overwatch, Hyper Light Driver, Dragons Dogma for PC.

It's been a good year if you ask me.
Were all those games universally praised, or do you just like them?

I also wouldn't count remasters or rereleases--just new shit.

I don't rate years based off what other folks like. I rate them based off what I've managed to play.

Take a guess on how big my game library is.
Makes sense. But yeah, I'm speaking generally. I haven't played a single game released in 2015, and only a small handful in the years prior. I'm a retro gamer at heart. But I still consider 2015 a good year for gaming just because I can see that a lot of people were pleased with a lot of the games that came out that year.

Beside the obvious point that I'm limited to playing games at the moment?

I can't really say. Not any worse than last year. Or the year before. Or the year before that. It's been one long haul from one little gem to the next.
2015 was a decent year. Lots of well-received games--Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Undertale, Life is Strange, Splatoon, Mario Maker.
2014 was okay. Smash, Bayonetta 2, Shovel Knight--lots of mediocre stuff, but few major disappointments.
2013 was good. The Last of Us, Grand Theft Auto V, Metro, Battlefield 4, Pokémon, Zelda, Dota 2.

2016 has... uh, Dark Souls 3?... In general, it was a year of mass disappointment, delays, and stagnation.

Especially for the Wii U, my god.

Because I think this was the worst year.

I didn't bother with the importance scale so this is slightly skewed to the left.
I don't think the importance scale matters in determining your result. It's just a way to categorize your thoughts, I think.

Here are the Halloween costumes (courtesy of eventhubs), because I haven't posted them already:

Vega (vampire)
Ryu (undead samurai)
Necalli (werewolf; normal)
Necalli (werewolf; transformed)
Alex (demon)
Cammy (corpse bride)
Juri (slutty imp)
Nash (Frankenstein's monster)

None for Balrog, sadly.

And here's the special Halloween stage, with Necro & Effie in the background:

Around the time these became available, the rootkit drama was still pretty ripe--but the dust has long been settled by now.

The fact that you still think 17 is too young to be educated on anything shows your ignorance more than mine

Lowering yourself to ad honinem
tsk
You couldn't possibly know any more about this subject than I do.
Why do you assume that
Your age, and the fact that there's nothing you've posted in your 2 years on this website that would make me think, "Huh, this kid actually knows what he's talking about." You come off exactly like every other person your age. Belligerently ignorant.

Porn reinforces untrue stereotypes of what sex and relationships actually are. Porn can become a damaging habit.
People are retarded, but personally, I'd still grant them the ability to realize that you're not going to get your dick sucked in the real world just because you fixed your neighbor's pipes. Most people aren't that stupid.
I'm more worried about it becoming an addiction more than anything. People can easily fall into a cycle where porn fills their sexual desires, rather than going to meet people and fullfilling their true sexuality.
I don't see this as an issue either. Like, so someone is content with beating their dick for the rest of their life instead of getting in a real relationship where they'll more than likely be miserable and broke rather than happy and la-di-da. Who cares?

If you're the type of person who's willing to waste their life trying to get into some kind of relationship with somebody, feel free--but I don't see why a porn addiction should be that much of a concern to anybody. If you're the type of person to get addicted to porn, you're probably not all that interested in intimacy in the first place.

Speaking as someone who quit watching porn ages ago.

Yeah, by restricting your child's access to the Internet--not the public's access to pornography.
Wait... you mean like... actually taking some personal responsibility and actually parenting my children? Are you a fucking madman?
True, responsible parenting is pretty out there. I can see why that little Vietnamese kid is upset with me now.

Johnny cash cover is the best version of the song imo tbh
Even Reznor agrees with that
artists tend to have wonky perceptions of their own art

robert plant hates stairway
Robert Plant is right.
he's right, but most people love stairway is my point

just like most people (normies, idiots) prefer cash's hurt cover to the original

By far the most idiotic thing you've ever said
Everything I say is, at worst, the smartest thing anyone could possibly say about any subject.

I'm sorry your parents sucked unbelievably and beat you senseless for being a worthless degenerate--that doesn't mean the rest of us would. Shoot yourself--I won't do it for you. That would be murder.

I deserve at least 32 likes for that post, and 45 likes for this one.
