I had this dream the other day where I won EVO. It was cool.

I remember getting spooked by the opening sequence to Half Life watching my brother play it as a kid.
The resonance cascade (when the experiment goes haywire and Combine start spawning on Earth)? Yeah, me too.

Fallout 3, remains of dead children in the library. Kinda tame, but I was affected by that.

NuckleDu takes it over Xiao Hai.

First R. Mika to win a premier CPT tournament; first R. Mika to go to Capcom Cup. Disgusting.

At least he's American.

New Yorker/Jersey accents are the best.

I'm not someone who's sexually attracted to any accents, though. I just like the ones that sound cool.

Limited myself to one album per artist. Otherwise, this list would have been less varied than it already is.
Didn't know you liked With Teeth that much.

Didn't you say you liked Geodaddi more than MHTRTC? I still need to listen to that.

Mine was on the 9th, yeah.

It's cool that yours is on Devil's Night. Or maybe that's not cool.

LET'S GO XIAO HAI
any particular reason you're rooting for him

i think he's pretty great too, but i'm rooting for the beast or someone who hasn't already won a major yet
There isn't much of a reason, I just saw his name and decided to root for him, And from what I've read right I'd like to see how a King of Fighters player plays SF and if he brings any of his experience of KoF into SF, don't know if It makes any sense to you.
Yeah I know what you mean.

As expected, Smash finals are taking their sweet time. This may take until 9:30 EST or later...

THEY'RE STILL NOT FINISHED WITH SMASH YET HOLY SHIT PLEASE

Some of these are scraping the bottom of the barrel as favourites but the second tier and top 4 are pretty accurate.
really didn't care for bottomless pit tbqh
You mean you didn't like SPIKES SPIKES SPIKES SPIKES?
That was an okay track, I guess, but my overall thoughts on the record can be summed up by the title of the song, "Eh" (which is incidentally one of the better tracks, along with "Trash"). They delivered on the abrasion front, but this time, it just felt like there wasn't any rhyme or reason for it. It started feeling like "business as usual." It didn't surprise or shock me like TPTB did.

I'm glad you're listening to DG, though. I remember you asking about them awhile back.

Canada Cup, the last tournament for the regional finals series for Capcom Pro Tour, will be streaming in about an hour. It might be two hours, since Smash 4 finals directly precedes it, and Smash 4 finals tend to take fucking forever.

Winner's bracket:
Xiao Hai (strongest Chinese player in the world) vs. John Takeuchi (up-and-comer; best Rashid in the world)
Alex Myers (strong American Cammy player) vs. Nuckledu (strong R. Mika, Nash, and Guile player)

Loser's bracket:
Bonchan (powerful OG Japanese player) vs. Nuki (one of the five gods of Japanese Street Fighter)
Daigo Umehara (no introduction necessary) vs. Phenom (strongest Norwegian player in the world)

that IS better, i can actually tell what it's supposed to be now

Claiming white people are inherently racist simply because they are white.

Wanting to do away with "western" science because it's "oppressive."

Avoiding having to speak about radical Islam out of some fear of being insensitive, even though Islamic nations are notorious for real oppression against women.

Telling people they can't use a canoe or have dreadlocks because it's "cultural appropriation."

It's completely illogical.
Who does any of this, and why do you believe they represent modern feminism?

women have as much equality as men
If this were true, it wouldn't change the fact that you're still a feminist if you believe they should.

It's true. Do you have any idea how big of an industry there is around "treating" cancer?

Once you cure a disease it's gone. That's a shit ton of money down the toilet.
Yeah no shit. But what reason do you have to believe that the pharmaceutical industry is THAT greedy? Are you an expert on this subject?

Oh, shit, I guess it doesn't matter. You got Carson backing you up now. The real expert.
