It has hookers and rape scenes. If they're a protagonist, they're thin and attractive. But we also see several homosexual relationships, man on man rape, castration galore, incest, even midgets. Do I think it's misogynistic? No. do females get BTFO on a regular basis? Yes. But we also saw a dude get his cock chopped off. So there's that.

I realize that. I'm saying depicting it doesn't automatically mean promoting it, though it's not impossible either of course.
And I'm saying, while it may be the case that GoT doesn't promote misogyny through its depictions of it, it could still appear that way based on how it's directed--which would be a failure on the director's part, yes?

Depicting oppression doesn't necessarily equal promoting oppression. Are movies and books depicting slavery automatically  racist to black people?
It has to do with how its depicted and how maturely the medium handles it. No one would watch Requiem for a Dream and say it's pro-drug abuse. You might find a couple idiots who think the Wolf of Wall Street promotes drug abuse, because it handles it a little more ambiguously. Then there's movies like Project X, where the movie is basically a commercial for hedonism--it's hard to watch that movie and say it's trying to spread some kind of deeper "hey kids, this is actually bad" message.

There's basically softcore rape porn, so yeah, it's pretty fucking bad.

It's also bad in general. Fuck GRRM and fuck this franchise.

Sunset found her squatting in the grass, groaning. Every stool was looser than the one before, and smelled fouler. By the time the moon came up she was shitting brown water. The more she drank, the more she shat, but the more she shat, the thirstier she grew, and her thirst sent her crawling to the stream to suck up more water.

If you enjoy this, fuck you.

Just a reminder that lena dunham talked about sexually assaulting her little sister, got a book written about it and is a feminist icon.
No, she isn't.

I hate when people put an apostrophe for the letter that's missing. It's gone. Let it go. You don't need to put an apostrophe there as a memorial.
grammar, though

it's not really that interesting when you consider a few factors

- tight-knight community
- loose rules and lax moderation
- diverse political zeitgeist with no topical focus

of course the website is a shit magnet

if I'm your dad and I walk into your room without knocking and you were on 4chan saving pictures of traps and I asked you how you were doing what would you say
i don't understand the point of saving pictures, desu--that's just a waste of RAM

reaction images? sure that makes sense

porn? how you can get off to a picture you've already seen before?

that's unthinkable :o

copacetic just means "in good working condition," as in "everything is copacetic"

it's fun to use when people ask how you're doing
kind of awkward desu

have you considered continuing your "verb's words" thread series

i use esoteric, copacetic and ruminate quite often thanks to them
I don't know what the hell copacetic is but you didn't know what esoteric and ruminate were?
he's actually pretty young iirc, i probably didn't when i was his age

anyways yeah idk, i might

i'd have to change the format a little, but that's not a bad idea

There's nothing wrong with preordering any game you're hyped for.
not when it gives developers incentive to cut content that otherwise would've been in the game anyway

I wanna try to beat Zelda 1 without picking up the sword some day.

Do you also happen to subscribe to the very correct belief of time cube?
Forgive my ignorance, but what is time cube?
Time isn't exactly linear. It's more like a transparent cube with light shining through it.
