okay that's good
i should've stopped way earlier, because now the video's gonna be over an hour long
i'll probably just include timestamps and sort them by category so that you can skip to the questions you give a shit about, which means effort, which means the video won't be up for awhile
every question after this point, i'll just respond to with text

Either way, "man" and "woman" have separate etymologies and it's pure coincidence that they are similar.
i thought it was an "every fruit is an apple" type situation
I'm not really sure what that means.
i thought there was a time where "man" just meant person, and "wo" was appended later to help differentiate i'm not privy to the details but that's just what i've read

i will post the one poem i wrote between now and the last time you posted a poetry thread
it's a villanelle, and a shameless ripoff of "do not go gentle..." (albeit with different subject matter)
i also broke a few rules 'cause i suck
Yesterday owes us a fortune and more Than bitch-made clothes for dogs and paupers "And fret," say, "for those who envy the whore!"
D'you not propose her extravagant lore With gilded ivory, plastic, and silver uncanny? Do fret for those who envy the whore.
Oh, yet tomorrow brings promise of solace Which heralds the talents and goodness she'd wore? Alas, with each plateau, the days grow more aweless
If watered-down witches, who shatter our indoors, Could soften the intake of hazardous bezoars, Perhaps we'd no longer need be your mentors
Fixated instead are we 'tached to this whore, While envy and hunger and fear runs ashore... Belated, our enemy's friendly once more
The vigorous and violent and twisted ecstatic Confined in her headspace, behavior erratic Although it seems futile, they'll scream it 'til sore, "Fret for those who envy the whore."

Why ask for a ban? Never understood that.
maybe he considers the site a distraction from whatever's going on

Wait since when was Jocephalopod banned? What did he do?
he asked to be for unknown presumably private reasons there's no reason i can think of as to why we can't read his posts though

why make all of his posts hidden?
is that something he requested himself, or
edit: for those who don't know, he asked to be banned for personal reasons

also, plz don't bother watching the first part again--i'm super embarrassed with how low quality it is
my answers were good, but the audio is dogshit, and I recorded it in my dad's messy garage for some godless reason

brb stealing aria's thunder hey, remember thisremember when i said i'd make a part 2 yeah, i think i'm about due for that now I'm probably not gonna bother doing the webcam thing this time, because the quality is so shit, but I might change my mind if I can make up for that somehow. I'll probably just end up recording some audio over leftover Dark Souls footage, like Big Boss did that one time. if no one has anything to ask (i know i just did one of these a month ago) then i'll just answer the questions i never got to in this thread

Also, I think it was Reggie who confirmed that there's enough varieties of food in the game to go vegetarian, or perhaps even vegan. I may actually try a vegan run.

Yeah, from the demos, the blue Bokoblins alone were dealing 2¾ damage in a single swing. That is very exciting.
Anything within Zelda II's range of difficulty is super welcome. The problem with difficulty in Zelda games, I think, is that they become exponentially easier the more hearts you get--evidently, that's not a problem this time around? Will we see enemies dealing 8+ hearts worth of damage and shit?
The system where you get temporary hearts from cooked meals looks like a very smart way to curb that, too.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AbsurdismIn philosophy, "the Absurd" refers to the conflict between the human tendency to seek inherent value and meaning in life and the human inability to find any. In this context absurd does not mean "logically impossible", but rather "humanly impossible". The universe and the human mind do not each separately cause the Absurd, but rather, the Absurd arises by the contradictory nature of the two existing simultaneously. Call me Albert Camus, because I'm full-on absurdist. I think we had a thread like this ages ago, but that was... ages ago, so let's take another crack at it.
