Jack has always been presented as a normal person. He gets scared, he gets lonely, there's an entire episode in season 3 about him giving up the fight. To say these thoughts are unprecedented or unbelievable after 50 years of constant combat honestly means you don't know shit about the show.

Complain about THAT in your initial post - "I don't like where they took the plot this season". Don't turn me off from any legitimate criticisms you might have by whining about something so banal and necessary. except the blood is symbolic of that direction they took, and it serves as a focal point through which the average person (i'd suspect) would be able to glean that, if i'm not particularly into the blood, i'm not gonna be into anything else that would result in having it like the plot direction does jack necessarily need to be going through these conflicts, when it's so tonally inconsistent with the rest of the series, making it feel as though a fan wrote it this shouldn't be that complicated

of course, the blood here is much more graphic and that's what makes the difference your image barely counts because those are just scratches--it's not dripping or anything and it's used purposely (not senselessly) to highlight the moral conflict of killing another human - you know, the plot. it's still inconsistent and jarring

As I feared, the blood is slightly off-putting just because it's literally never been present before. It just comes off a little fan-fictiony, like when people write swears in the dialogue of characters who never actually swear in the source material? It's a little distracting, but whatever.

I personally think it's an insult to the woman who's face is scanned because they're saying "You look good, but we're gonna make you look unrealistic and atrocious while we make the male over here spot on."
If you ask me, it's just unintentionally singling out the female and could be attributed to a form of sexism, be it on the male or female part. Just make em both equal. It's not about slutty armor, it's about the actual scanned faces. No controversy would be around if they just did it correctly like they did with the male. i mean, you realize this is a double standard, though, right do you think that when women's faces are scanned for game models, they're completely unaltered? of course not--typically, they're made prettierso it's problematic to you when girls are made uglier because it's an insult, but doing the exact opposite, which is the more common practice, is perfectly okay i doubt that's actually what you believe, though--it's just something you failed to consider this is all assuming that, of course, it was intentional and they were trying to make a statement (unlikely) Also, if you support deliberately making females ugly, that's a very twisted form of feminists you're spouting.
