Serious / Re: MFW Kalashnikov found a way around Obama's executive order
« on: January 26, 2015, 10:20:03 AM »
why do you have to kill them though, its the fact that those individuals are a product of their environment/government and not the religion or race that they would be taking up the mantle of a false Islamist or mugger.

we should focus on fixing society itself before killing anyone
Islamists are obviously a product of their religion--to think otherwise is to be ignorant or dishonest.

We can't fix things in the long term with people like that running around in the short term; it might be an ugly idea,  but sometimes some people just have to die.

create a classless society.
That's not even possible,  let alone desirable.

well, no.. the thing is capitalism is dangerous in the fact that it can sustain itself for roughly 200 years before turning ugly. it builds infrastructure but also sets the bomb to destroy it
All you're doing is spouting cryptic nonsense that doesn't challenge what I'm saying or even make much sense.

What does sustain itself for 200 years before "turning ugly" even mean?

we shouldn't kill other people..
We obviously should if it produces quite a clear and necessary benefit. Like defending yourself from a mugger or killing militant Islamists.

everyone is equal to one another
Obviously false.
why?
Because people aren't equal.

Moreover, individuals who aren't so well-off aren't in any way entitled to the wealth or labour of those better of than them insofar as it goes beyond sustaining the necessities.

most people are, capitalism encourages corruption and destroys nations. it's practically a fact if you look at history
Is that why capitalist countries are usually the least corrupt and the wealthiest?

I still don't know why anyone needs a gun......
I still don't know why you need an account here. . .

Or a computer for that matter. So let's just take them away.

You see why this is a stupid way of thinking right?

this whole system was built to create poor people, if we just redistributed the wealth of the rich, noone would be getting monitored as their standard of living would make them content with the usa
Capitalism was created to keep peopls poor? That's news to me.  People are discontented with the U.S. government because of their standard of living? They must be very ignorant and self-entitled then.

Oh for fuck's sake.

Look, Meta. I want to owe you an apology. I want to let bygones be bygones.

Actually, if I could, I'd like to do that with everyone here that has a grudge against me still.
That's fair enough; I accept. I don't think you can hold it against me if I'm sceptical, however.

Didn't you make a thread one time back on b.net about how you were angry at your mom for offering you tea while you were playing videogames or something?
That was probably the uncontrollable rage I feel when my grandma tells me to drink my tea like five minutes after she's given it to me.

Which is a shame, I don't like feeling like that since my grandma is the one I most respect out of my family.
Isn't your grandma the nig nog lady?
HA.

Yeah.

I do admit to jumping the gun with my first post.
Hey, don't worry about it. I'm certainly guilty of jumping the gun from time-to-time.

I actually don't intend on having children; at least at this point in time.

thinking they're dirt
Your opinion of me on this topic is based on a false assumption which, while understandable at first, I have repeatedly shown to be false.

I get why you'd think that of me, and I don't blame you, but that's just me. The day I come here to post something explicitly un-critical of somebody is the day pigs fucking fly. I don't put much efforts into my Flood posts, either, because fuck it--nobody else does.

Parents are people. Some people are shitty.

Being a parent doesn't automatically make you some glorious person.
Don't get me wrong either; she isn't a horrible person. On a fundamental level we just don't 'click' and there are certain things about her I find worthy of criticism. But that's exactly how generations improve upon one another.

The Flood / Re: Self-entitled parents

All I see from your posts on the Flood is an unfunny Loaf.
I place zero stock in entertaining you. What's wrong with being critical of your parents? I would want my children to do exaclty the same for me.

Why the fuck would I come here to post banal platitudes about how my mother's a fucking saint who does a lot for me. It's fairly self-evident she does a lot for me. Discussing it would have literally no utility.

The Flood / Re: Self-entitled parents

That's all women. Not just moms.
Aha, that's probably true.

The Flood / Re: Self-entitled parents
« on: January 25, 2015, 02:04:59 PM »
I know I never appreciated all that my mother did until I moved out. Moms literally do everything for their kids.
I'm not saying she doesn't do a lot--of course she does. I probably wouldn't be able to use this forum if she didn't. The point is that she's a martyr about it when she doesn't get her own way.

The Flood / Re: Self-entitled parents

"Oh, she's not perfect and feels underappreciated, she must be shit and treated like so", grow the fuck up.
I'm sorry, would you like to educate me more about my own life.

Don't be an idiot; I live with her, you don't. This is a woman who got indignant about getting a ticket for parking in a disabled spot.

I've gotten a lot of flack for not thinking very highly about my parents, but I literally just heard my mother from the kitchen saying: "I deserve a medal for being a fucking unrecognised Mother Theresa". It's fucking ridiculous.

ITT: discuss annoying parents.
