Western Art now:
That's almost 70 years old, btw.

The Japanese were historically pretty shit at art, though. Well, maybe not shit, but they didn't hold a candle to the masterpieces that composed European art.

Japanese Art now:

That painting... it was the one that sold for an absurd amount of money, wasn't it? A fucking toddler could make that. I'm sure the guy that created this "art" is laughing his ass off.
Nope. Same artist, different painting. This is his number 8, it's his number 5 that sold for 140 million dollars. And Pollock has been dead for 60 years and lived a life of misery. He probably isn't laughing much.

I agree that most modern art is trash, but this is actually really nice.

Watching anime =/= Weaboo
>_>

Really though, it's true.

There aren't any genuine weaboos on this site. Well I hope not, maybe some stealthaboos or something. If you want to see the real deal, the stomach wrenching horror of a fully fledged weaboo then I'm sure I can find some youtube comment sections for you to purvey <_____<
That's exactly what a tricksy weeb would say to get me off his back. Nice try NSA.

What kind of shows have you watched yet?

Also, is it possible to complete the latest pokedex (of all pokemon ever) legit without special stuff? Like, event and/or locked pokemon?

Why do people like Guardians of the Galaxy so much?

It was good and fun but way overhyped

Probably because everyone expected it to be shit
I don't think it was anything special at all. Below mediocre at best.

Because the story was interesting (including MCU tie-ins), the setting was attention-grabbing, the special effects were good, the music was absolutely phenomenal, and the movie didn't take itself too seriously.

If the bad guy didn't suck dicks, it'd be in my top 5. It's definitely in my top 10.
Eh, I'm gonna have to disagree. Just another summer blockbuster popcorn flick that was already forgotten by the time I left the theater.

You people have weak taste, and that irritates me.
Stand By Me really isn't that good of a movie though. Other than that, good list.

What kind of phone do you have? Mine has insane battery life.
Galaxy S IV
There should be several Androird apps to help with battery life.
Most are placebo apps, really. Greenify is really the only one that will help any, but OP's problem isn't apps running, it's a signal problem most likely.
Snapdragon battery guru is good though.
Oh right, that too. Only works if you are running a snapdragon, though, right?
I'd assume so, yeah.

The Flood / Re: How do I buy stocks?
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:14:20 AM »
Some companies let you buy stocks directly from them, but most require you to go through brokers. There's full service brokers that are usually paired with banks or major investment companies, and online (discount) service brokers. The idea is that you create an account at a broker and pick stocks you want to buy. The order will then be handled through and by the broker, who gets a commission fee of a few % on the stock. Different brokers offer different services at different rates, so it's best to look around first. If you're already part of a bank, it's probably a good idea to check with them first and see what they offer. Full service and personal brokers are more expensive, but generally offer better support and investment options / advice.

Nasdaq is a good place to have a look around, and so are E-trade and Ameritrade.
