Serious / Re: Make Britain safer; bring back handguns

I will make the point that Chicago is surrounded by guns so trying to control guns in that city is impossible.
A better point to make is that Chicago has been one of the crime capitals of the US for decades before gun control even became a thing. Those bringing up Chicago as a point that gun control doesn't work are the same kind of people who put a bandaid on a gun shot wound and then claim that bandaids don't work because it didn't heal the injury. I'm not going to bother looking up the statistics again, but both gun and "ordinary" violence strongly declined in Chicago after the gun control measures were implemented.

tl;dr: It's an argument only the most uninformed people make.
The entire point of the Chicago argument--at least when I make it--is that gun control is not the prime determinant of gun crime.
I probably should've clarified that by the Chicago argument I'm refering to the people pointing to Chicago and saying that the fact that one of the cities with the strictest gun laws also has the most violence and crime is direct proof that gun control doesn't work. What you said is obviously correct.

Hard to have an opinion on the matter when you are in an environment that heavily supports one side.
I hope you realize how incredibly ironic that statement is.
Nope?

I've experience both sides and the one with more childish arguments is the anti-gunners. Most of their points is due to a lack of common sense and how reality works.
You genuinely don't see the irony in being one of the most well-known pro gun people on here, living in the single most pro-gun developed country in the entire world and having grown up and lived your entire life in an extreme pro-gun culture, and then dismissing other people's opinion solely on the fact that they live in an area where most people don't have free access to guns?

I sincerely hope you're joking and can admit that your own bias and background is just as "bad" as any of the most extreme anti-gun people.

Seems like cracking down harder on illegal firearms would be a better solution overall. There's a significant risk that legalisation would result in creating what's virtually a necessity to own a firearm.

I detect a very poorly veiled anti gun control argument here.

Windows 8 with classic shell is great. Just get rid of the tile / metro UI and the full-screen apps and you've got yourself a great OS.

Yeah, because its windows 7, then.
But better.

Atheism (yes, I am one of those people).
Do you enjoy being a satanist?
Thorougly. Last night, some of my satanist friends and myself went to vandalise a church and cheered on live abortions while chanting "take that Jesus". Good times and family friendly fun for all.

Kernel Kraut is the only one I'm aware of on here that does any photography
I've had professional photographers telling me I could go places with my photographical talent. I came this close to going to college for it too, but ended up going into Law. Still regret it quite often.
You don't just do it for fun as a hobby still?
Not as much as I used to, but occasionally. First and foremost piece of advice I can give you is to learn the technical side of photography. It isn't always as exciting, but understanding how things like aperture, ISO, shutter speed and such work is key to getting good. After that, it's mainly about honing your eye. A lot of it has to do with talent and natural aptitude, but understanding how to frame, position and fill your photograph is an acquirable skill. And the final part is just about practice. Snapping a pic should become a second nature. A lot of pictures you can set up for, but there's always those that are an instant hit or miss. And in those cases, it's knowing your camera inside out and being able to turn, zoom, focus, frame and snap within a fraction of a second that makes a good photograph amazing.

Mayonnaise, like you're supposed to.
Proof Brits can't get anything right.
Chips/Fries are Belgian. They eat them with mayonnaise.

Mayonnaise is the correct way.
This good man gets it.
