The death penalty is never the answer.

Also, don't expect this to be quick. There are so many appeals and delays possible that this will still take years before the judgment is final. And then, the average time a US convict spends on death row is over 15 years, with more and more people dying while awaiting their execution than by the actual hands of their executioner, and cases of people spending up to 40 years on death row are not unheard of.

So for those hoping to see blood, I hope you are prepared to wait another decade or two.

In all likelihood, almost all of these are going to be awful. A few years from now, the movie market will be so over-saturated with capeshit that it'll collapse.

And yeah, Giraffes are endangered FYI.
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, giraffes are "least-concern", meaning they're not even near-threatened, let alone endangered.
That doesn't change the fact that many sub-species are endangered, and numerous local populations have been extirpated.
Of course. I condone the killing of these animals just the same. Just pointing out that "giraffes are endangered" is a factually incorrect statement.

I like how they decided to put a massive hyperlink to a change.org petition on paper. I'm sure many people will write it down or remember it and then go type it down character by character later.

Noob teleport attack spam = best
God fucking dammit I was just about to post that. Up down Y or something, no?
Yeah something like that, you teabag then teleport.

I don't have fighting games myself but my friend has a few, so when I go over to his we sometimes play <.<

Soul Calibre something 4/5/6?
Knightmare heavy sword slam spam (Triangle Triangle Triangle = Perfection)
Non violence is best violence, made a gandhi looking fellow and did nothing but lurk near the edge of the ring and throw him out.
Then for MK I spammed noob's teleport beatup and lizardman's sideways jump kick shit.

Funny as fuck because he plays them quite a lot and I just straight up button spam and win e.e
Ever played Soul Calibur 2? Definitely the best one. The Gamecube version had Link from Zelda, being the cheapest character in the entire game. Link had a certain move that allowed him to block an attack and use the forward momentum of his opponent to just sidestep and send him flying. My friend beat almost the entire game on the hardest difficulty without taking a single hit by just waiting near the ledge while blocking and then throwing the opponents out of the ring.

Good times, but so cheap in actual matches.

It's not much of a secret that religion is a coping mechanism for many. It's not something that I personally agree with or would ever consider, but I can see why it's something many people end up relying on, especially those with mental issues.

I'd thank him for the book, perhaps even read it, and just be happy that he is happy. Even if it's not something you agree with or see the reason behind, if it's something that makes him feel better and helps him cope with stuff, you should support it as long as it doesn't end up harming others.

Hey, nothing against the state or its people. I've met several nice folks from Florida and haven't been there myself, so I can't judge much. Just pointing out that I have grown somewhat conditioned to immediately wonder whether a strange story took place in Florida. >_>

Not sure if this is good or bad... it sounds bad. If they are going to replace/have a localised reform of it, it better be fucking good as at the moment it's just going to alienate the UK further from the EU.
Just gonna point out real quick that the ECtHR technically has nothing to do with the EU.

Well that's awfully odd.
It's a common mistake.

The EU high court is called the European Court of Justice (ECJ). It acts as a constitutional court for the EU and evaluates both national and European measures in light of the fundamental EU treaties (TFEU, TEU and the Charter).

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) is a body founded by the Council of Europe. This institution is comparable to the EU, only without binding legislative powers and such. It aims to promote cooperation, democracy, human rights and so forth. In 1950, it drafted the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), which came with the ECtHR to apply it. Big difference is that there's 47 countries part of the ECHR, while there's only 27 part of the EU.

That being said, they are related in many ways. The charter of the ECJ explicitly mentions that the ECHR will also be used by the ECJ when it comes to human rights issues (art. 53, I believe) and within the next few years, the EU will probably accede to the ECHR and become its 48th member.

But yeah, they're strictly speaking not related and the UK leaving the ECHR would not change anything about its membership of the EU, even though it would send a certain message.

So like........should I blow my copy up, or burn it?
Sell it. I sold my copy less than a week after the game came out. Reached level 20 and realized there was nothing left but an endless grind with no story and nothing but bullet sponge bosses. No regrets.
Once you reached up to level 20 that was when you realized the game is nothing more than grinding? Nowhere before that that thought didn't come into play?
Not really. The first 20 levels went nicely with the "story" and natural progression. New missions to do, places to go and so forth. It didn't feel like a grind at that point. It's only when I realized that the only way to progress after that was to put more time into the awful crucible, or replay the same old missions in the hopes of getting random drops of better armor that would allow me to go past 20.

Also, nothing in my posts shows that I didn't already realize this earlier. It is just that before level 20, there was still new and somewhat interesting stuff to do. It's only when I hit that level that it became obvious that unless I would buy the DLC, all that was left was playing the same missions over and over with increasingly spongy enemies for no purpose other than to get random drops.

Eh, I didn't realize that post would be so long. Apologies and props to you if you read through all of it.
Thing is though, the Tories aren't actually gunning to leave the ECHR. They just want British courts to have primacy in interpreting it.
You'd still have the same risks though. Most of what I said before went through the UK courts first, and they saw no issues with the old regime. They said that prior government censorship on publications that the government deemed unfit was perfectly fine. They agreed with the regime of indefinite detention and therefore lower standards of fair trial for people who could be a terrorist or danger to the state. They felt that an extremely broad wiretapping regime with hardly any safeguards or supervision was acceptable.

The whole point of the ECtHR is that it has primacy. That if your own government adopts a very questionable policy that infringes on your rights and then refuses to even listen to any concerns, you have a higher, less biased and more objective court that you can go to. If the UK courts once again becomes the highest authority on human rights, there is nothing stopping them from reverting policies. "Thanks for the advice, ECtHR, but we don't think that a priori censorship of publications that speak bad of Islam infringe your right to free speech because it divides our society. And we also don't think that prohibiting protests against anything involving Islam or feminism is wrong, because it's just hate speech anyways."

You are one of the people who often criticizes the increasing social justice in the UK. How political correctness is valued more than human rights. If I were in your shoes, I would be scared of making these people alone the highest power in terms of human rights. While the ECtHR is generally progressive, it has often proven to be traditional in the sense of upholding respect for the rights, only allowing them to be limited under strict conditions and safeguards. I would not trust the UK (or my country for that matter) to hold itself to the same standards.

And just for some extra information, there is going to be an advisory function of the ECtHR, allowing any court to ask for its opinion without it being binding.

So yeah, while the ECtHR is isn't perfect, it is a very valuable institution that had done a lot of good. Justice at a national level is often politicised, and national courts have often proven to be reluctant to condemn their country's policies for numerous reasons unrelated to actually defending human rights. Having a supranational European Court is a great remedy against the erosion of human rights.
