mad cuz I'm right
Glad because mine hasn't become significantly less sensitive and pleasurable for a subjective reason of aesthetics that can be simply "resolved" by pulling back some skin.

Feels good man.

But srsly how do people really become mods
If the staff feels that we need more mods, we'll talk about it in the staff chat and/or make a thread in HQ. We all put our say in and discuss potential candidates. If someone is agreed on, Cheat sends them a message and then begins the initiation.

I hardly ever get any. When I do, they're Belgian though. So I guess I'm the only one here.

Disappointed to see that the only google result for that hashtag is this thread.

Too busy with my exams to play much games, unfortunately. I've just been sticking to Quake.

I'm sure you have other qualities to make up for that.

« on: May 30, 2015, 06:23:17 PM »
Hey Flee, Bloodborne is amazing. It's got even better level design than Dark Souls, and the combat is perfect and more fast-paced. Get it.
I would love to, but there's two main issues. One being that I have no interest in any other games on the PS4. I find it hard to justify spending the money on a new system for a single game, no matter how good, especially while I've been playing a lot less video games as of late and now that my girlfriend is moving over, that money would probably be better spent elsewhere.

And two being that the most common accounts of criticism that I've heard "veteran" Souls players make about Bloodborne unfortunately concern the things that I loved the most about the previous Souls games. These being that Bloodborne apparently offers little customisation and variety compared to the previous games, and that the PVP is significantly lacking.

Bloodborne looks like a fantastic game and I would love to play it, but the two main things that had me put hundreds of hours into every single other Souls game don't seem to be nearly as good in Bloodborne. While I'm sure I'd enjoy it, I just don't see it being worth buying a PS4 and a PS+ membership right now. Hopefully some time later though.

Wish I could help. Pretty big Souls fan, but Bloodborne looks way too "meh" for me to justify the purchase.

Horrible plot
Horrible acting
Horrible visuals
Boring as shit
One of the stupidest endings I have ever seen
And on top of all that, not only is it not scary, but it doesn't even have the charm that cheesy B-Movies like Reanimator or From Beyond or Evil Dead (OG) have.
Plot could've been better, but is far from horrible.
Acting was almost unanimously praised, with nominations for awards that followed.
Visuals were amazing, which is something that even those who disliked the movie agreed on. One of the most negative reviewers on RT even concedes that "I can't hate a film operating at this level cinematically. But I can try."
Pacing was good with a very unnerving atmosphere throughout the entire movie.
Ending was lame but not bad enough to ruin the movie.
And I thought it was pretty scary, which also seems to be the general opinion of those who watched the movie.

There's several flaws to the movie (mainly in terms of the plot), but just going around repeatedly stating that every aspect of it is "objectively horrible" when seemingly no one who knows a thing about movies agrees really doesn't make a good case for yourself.

Let the right one in.
Mama was fucking horrible though
No.
Mama was stupid.

Mama had a decent premise but ultimately contrived and poorly presented plot, but it had decent scares, was very unnerving and is cinematically one of the most beautifully shot horror movies that I've ever seen. Could've been better, but still a good movie imo.
It's objectively fucking horrible. What was so great about the cinematography? Nothing special in my memory.
How is it objectively horrible when it was praised by several renowned movie critics and received generally favorable reviews, sitting at around 65% on most popular sites?

And I just think it's a beautifully shot movie. Great angles, colors, general vibe, meaningful and relevant scenes properly portrayed. Well acted too, and the way they did mama's movement is pretty awesome. It has its flaws, but I still liked it quite a bit.

As long as properly regulated, sufficiently transparent and providing for adequate safeguards, I don't have a problem with it.

Just a reminder that metadata isn't even the property of individuals, but of the telecommunication companies. If anyone's privacy is being violated, it's theirs.
Just because the data does not belong to you doesn't mean that it can't lead to a violation of your privacy, though.

To be honest, online relationships will probably leave you feeling more alone than no relationship. Sure, some people can handle it, but a lot can't.
This, man, so much this.
It's wonderful on the offchance that it works, though.

So, it's that time of year again. The apex of tennis on gravel.

So far, not many surprises among the men. All of the top players are still in the tournament and they're all playing well. Same thing can't be said for the women, unfortunately, where many of the top players are already out of the grand slam. Here's to hoping that Serena Williams gets owned soon as well, because no one likes her.

Anyone else watching? For those interested, pretty good livestreams can be found here and here.

Only other tennis fan that I know of will already be disappointed as Raonic isn't participating this time. Poor Tblocks.

Games to watch right now are Federer (of course), Wawrinka and Simon. Up next are Sharapova (for those who like the better looking female players) and Berdych in a few hours.
