EVE's a great game, but from what I can tell, this list is about those games that significantly shaped an entire genre or laid the foundations for many games to come. As far as I know, EVE didn't really do that.
The only thing WoW did was casualize the genre. Ultima and Everquest would have been better to pick if you wanted to represent the MMO genre.
I'm not arguing that WoW is the best pick, though. I agree with you there. Just pointing out why I don't think EVE deserves a spot on the list (either). A great game? Yes. But one that defined and shaped a genre to the point that it became one of gaming's foremost landmarks? Not really.
I never said it should be in there. I just said that people shouldn't hold expect it to get in and threw a jab at WoW in the process.

How did it go?
It went pretty well. Received some very good feedback on my thesis and could respond to all questions and criticism. Public speaking has always been easy for me, so this was somewhat up my alley. I knew my stuff well, so I'm expecting a pretty good grade on all of this.
