I personally don't think it should necessarly be free, but it should be very affordable. I quite like the way it is arranged in my own country. My education at a top level law school (for both my Bachelor's and Master's in Law) cost me less than $1000 a year including tuition, books and other such expenses. This is the same for pretty much all Belgian and European students, regardless of what they decide to study. If this would still be unaffordable, you can sign up for benefits and receive government support.
So doesn't have to be entirely free, but a higher education (to a certain extent) should be a real possibility for everyone.

I just don't see how it's relevant. It shouldn't be a secret and she shouldn't remain quiet about it, but I hardly see the merit of mentioning such things on your own political profile page / website, other than having people feel sorry for her and give her their vote for reasons unrelated to her politics. There's no issue with the press or other people talking about it, but having it clearly featured on your own political profile / program? That just screams populism to me. Although I do suppose that I can't really fault her for that, as populism and appeal to emotion is such an enormous part of US politics to begin with. It's very unusual and strange to me. And yeah, I messed up with the pro-gay thing. Not sure where I was going with that.

I guess I just don't see the point in the living dex thing. Once you've had a Charmander grow and become a Charizard, I can't really see myself ever wanting a Charmander and a Charmeleon again. Is it to just make your collection seem more complete? I mean, have at it, but it just seems like a lot of extra effort. There are over 700 of these things now, remember.
Yeah, I know. It's unnecessary. But it's a fun project. Gives me and my girlfriend something to do together. Closest way of actually "catching 'em all" too. It's likely we'll never finish it, but that's not the point. The fun is in trying. Planning things out, playing together, reading up on it and so on. Always wanted to do something like this but never had someone to do it with.

They're really not that expensive though. A surge protector won't cost you more than 10£ (and might not even be necessary, just look at the UK voltage and the one on your blu-ray player) and US to UK adapters are like 5 a piece.

the regular 3ds is made for baby hands anyway. Since the 2ds is a big single piece I feel like it's way easier to hold
Only one I ever held is the 3DS XL. No idea what's the 2DS or small 3DS is like.

Update: despite all of your better judgment, I did end up going with a 2DS. It may be ugly and doesn't fold, but I couldn't pass up on this deal. A local gamestore had a 2DS with pokemon Y combo pack + additional memory card + carry case for $80. Cheapest 3DS (even the oldest and smallest model as a second hand device) I found both on and offline cost over $120 without having any games included. The 2DS may be somewhat crap, but I don't plan on using it for that much anyways and this was just a pretty damn good deal.

Great games. Some of the best voice acting and dialogue I've seen in any series. Best fun is had with a friend to, preferably couch co-op.
