Sounds like a problem but that mostly depends on how much you make.
I was mostly being tongue in cheek, it is not actually a problem. I just wanted to show off the stuff I buy lol.
Definitely sounds like a problem.

So how bad did it effect you guys while it was down?
i don't believe pai's rules have gone into full effect yet and we're still not out of the woods yet since the house would have to pass this as well and on top of that you'd have to get trump on board since the repeal doesn't have a super majority.
Pretty sure the new rules went into effect some time in February.

It's definitely not back in the US yet. In fact, it's unlikely this is anything more than a symbolic victory.

Do you think there is a HL3 trailer ready to go, but they are just waiting for a big leak to release it?
What a shit trailer.
I guess they saw Mad Max furry road and went with that style.
Sure, but Fury Road didn't have dumb looking people with pink/blue hair wearing fashion accessories and doing stupid dances in pink smoke. The art style is one thing but the trailer is just bad.

We professional now. Rug to the left still to be replaced by the foam sound isolation you see behind the main monitor. And PC will be moved below the table soon.

Good monitor isn't it? I've had it for like a year and 144hz is so good.

The actor is an only child and doesn't have siblings. Probably made up and likely not him.

Older airframes and avionics packages combined with maintenance schedules that aren't being increased. We're entering that sort of period for a majority of our commonly fielded aircraft's life.
My little brother is currently training on jet fighters at topgun so you Americans better take care of that equipment so that nothing happens to him.

The movie wasn't anything special but that scene was A+ horror right there.
This scene could have been plucked out of The Three Stooges for how unintentionally comical it was.
The slipping and dumb shit was annoying but still some great atmosphere and build up. Definitely one of the best parts of the movie.

I've been looking to watch Ragnarok. I'm a big fan of Taika Waititi's other films.
Just saw it. Decent movie, nothing special. Worth the watch.

The interaction between the characters of Ragnarok is really well done. Best part of the movie so far.

Guardians 2, Ragnarok, Avengers 2, Civil War and Dr Strange should be enough to know who everyone is and why they are where they’re at.
Just Ragnarok then, good.

You won't like Homecoming. Ragnarok might be worth a watch.
Maybe check out GotG or GotG2 if you haven't seen them, but that's all you really "need" that's left I think.
Excellent. Already saw both of the Guardians movies.

Ok, going to watch Infinity War. People are saying it's dark so it might actually be a good Marvel superhero movie. What movies do I need to watch beforehand? I've probably seen most already, like Ultron and the first Avengers. I just saw Civil War last night and already watched Black Panther some other time. Do I need to watch Homecoming? Doesn't look interesting at all. Can I just do Thor Ragnarok and be ready?
Also wtf is the deal with Black Widow. Hands down the most annoying character so far. I'm fine with the others but she has literally no interesting powers other than punching people or being sneaky and she doesn't even do that very well. Archer even kicked her ass pretty much. It got annoying during Civil War how often fully armed trained military guys decided that the best course of action was to get within arm's length of her to shoot her or something.
Also Cap getting it on with the little niece of his old girl? Damn, dude just goes for it.

You don't know that. You can't tell when consciousness begins, when "programming" turns into changing. We're programmed too. A bacteria is alive and so is a virus. This might be alive too.
Tay was no more alive or sentient than Google Images recognizing objects in a picture, or an insurance company computer giving you a risk score. The only reason you think differently is because it had a face and responded in words rather than image or numerical data.

People who have seen the movie: acknowledging that grimdark capeshit is literally the only kind of superhero movie worth watching, how good is Infinity War?
689
« on: April 27, 2018, 01:44:17 PM »
Very nicely worded and it did make me think. It's true that Tay might have just been a very sophisticated piece of technology and not sentient, but it's also true that she might have had an actual consciousness underneath it all. We don't understand everything about how self-awareness works, and we can't create life to suit our fantasies.
That's simply not true though. Verb gave a neat explanation on the more philisophical aspects of sentience and being able to feel, but anyone who understands machine learning can tell you there was nothing sentient about Tay.
