Just finished Far Cry 4 earlier today and now I'm looking for my next 360 game to play through. I haven't played any of them before, other than getting an hour or so into Metro and Crysis 3. What should I play next?

mad because MLP is nowhere to be found
Didn't even think of that. >_> And fuck, good thing it isn't on the list. I already don't agree with a lot of the stuff on there, but putting MLP in the top 250 would've made it an absolute joke.

No clue who he even is. I know the name but never really watched his videos.
Also, that get cancer and die tweet was a pretty asshole move, even if he apologised after. Can't say I really care much now.
He sent that tweet 4 years ago nigga.
And?
Because you've totally never said anything with malicious intent because you're oh so innocent.
Right?
I've called people assholes before. I've insulted others and said things that are far from innocent or nice. But have I genuinely (publicly, even more so) told someone that they should fucking get cancer and die? Hell no. Doesn't even matter that it's 4 years ago either. This isn't some guy in his early 20's who said some stupid shit when he was a dumb teenager with raging hormones and an underdeveloped brain incapable of fully realizing the consequences of his actions. He was a 27 year old who apparently is educated in law when he tweeted that. So far, I know two things about this person. He made gaming videos (which I now watched and didn't particularly like) and he told someone that he genuinely wished he would get cancer and die. I never cared about this person before and I will continue not caring about them now that he is dying of cancer. Completely indifferent, really. Just here to point out that what he did then was a real asshole move and doesn't exactly help me feel sympathetic towards him.

That is about the saddest thing I read all day.

You can beat the game in about 3 minutes if you know what you're doing.
Gotta get those achievements though.

Well, the main story mission can take an hour or two if you take your time.
Or just over two minutes if you know the objectives.
I was assuming he didn't.
Yep, I don't. Never played any of the games before and I haven't even seen any footage of Ground Zeroes.
You should probably play the older ones. They're better.
Maybe if I like this one. I really don't care much about the series and only downloaded this because it was free.

Why do people still support the hollow shell that is the current Bungie? Even if I liked the game, I still don't think I would continue playing just because of how they treated their community and this game.

It's a stealth game first, a third-person shooter second.
Don't worry about beating Far Cry 4 first, it will only take about an hour to beat Ground Zeroes.
You serious? I was expecting like a 5 hour prologue with another 10 maybe to collect all achievements. But 1-2 hours? Damn.

All I have is academic stuff.
Still qualifies. My poems are for academic purposes, after all.
If I were writing a paper I'd share that... But I don't have any I'm working on atm.
I would, but all of my English writings are published online with my name on them. Not gonna share those as they can easily be tracked down that way. And I doubt many here are interested in Dutch or French papers.

Just downloaded Ground Zeroes as it was free with Games with Gold. Will probably get around playing it once I beat Far Cry 4.
What should I expect? I never played any of the MGS games other than one of the first ones over at a friend's place 15 years ago, so I'm a complete noob to the story and universe. Tips? Advice? Short rundown of the story? Reviews of the game?

Jealous of that balisong.
A lot of euronations have them banned, don't they? I know Bongs can't get any, or a bunch of scandis or Germans.
Yeah, most knives with a hidden blade that can be fixed are generally banned. Same goes for Belgium. I own two and know of people who got them online without many issues, so they don't really make any issues out of it unless you carry them in public. Always wanted a Benchmark for myself.

Yeah despite the soaring murder rate committed with firearms and a school being shot up every week, the Republicunts don't care. So long as people are purchasing guns and the NRA continues making a profit, everything is fine in their eyes.
Honestly, I think guns should just be banned outright. I don't think gun control will do much good as it's far too easy for the mentally ill/deranged to get their hands on a gun now. Either guns will be banned altogether or guns will remain untouched. I honestly don't think a middle ground can be achieved here in America's case. I don't think gun crime will ever go away completely but I do believe it will go down drastically if guns were restricted. Just my two cents anyway.
Honestly, one of the things that has always baffled me the most as an outsider is the notion that the NRA and other pro-gun lobby groups actually managed to get Congress to defund the CDC and directly prohibit them from studying the effects of guns on public health and safety. Like, seriously. Your official, governmental center to protect the country from "health, safety and security threats" that has covered everything from general crime to foods to diseases is literally banned from studying guns. If you, as an interest group, actively stop one of the most capable institutions in your country from contributing to the debate because you're afraid of what they might find, you have some re-evaluating of your priorities to do. And to address your point: I see where you're coming from. The US has reached what could be a point of no return. There are more privately owned guns in the country than actual people living there, and the gun culture has become so engrained in society that millions of people are never going to want to give up their guns. Best solution is probably to gradually change society as a whole and legislate accordingly.

Less than 3% to 5% of all US crimes involve people with mental illness, and the percentages of those crimes actually involving guns is lower than the national average of these crimes commited by people without a mental illness.
I call bullshit; something like half of the prisoners in the US (or globally) have ASPD.
That is a good point. I simply went with the claim since it appeared in at least 2 renowned and peer reviewed journals, but I should probably give that some more research. In its defense, that number does include all crimes. It makes sense that the amount of people who do something so bad it ends them up in prison would be more likely to be disturbed than those commiting petty crime, or that those illnesses become a lot more clear after permanent supervision in jail rather than right after the crime. Plus, at what point did those prisoners receive their psych evaluation? It's a matter of methodology, but it would make sense that simply the conditions of being imprisoned cause or at least go hand in hand with things like depression.

So what's different between this and Battlefield Premium subscription?
Cause BF4 Premium is pretty good value.
I should know, I bought it twice.
I think it's more the idea that a game has only just launched a beta, has not yet been reviewed and has been heavily criticised for cutting out a ton of content that was present in the base version of previous installments, has already decided to let people pay just about the price of the actual entire game for 4 different expansions of stuff that probably could've been part of the original launch game which no one even know if it's going to be decent at this point. Solid business model, but I do understand why this pisses many people off.

Gun violence is caused by guns. More specifically, the glorification of these tools as part of the very prevalent American gun culture, their extreme availability to the general public and the extraordinarily high rates of private gun ownership. So, since you say that none of those single factors are responsible for gun violence, wouldn't it make more sense that a variety of factors are responsible for the violence and the gun is just used to express it? I really don't see how guns being a prominent part of the country's culture is to blame for the violence, how could the gun be the root of the problem?
Of course, the gun is only a tool used as an expression of violence. However, the problem is that there is no simple way of explaining or addressing that violence. Humans are inherently violent and will always fight with one another. It just so happens to be that guns are an incredibly easy, convenient and efficient way to commit said violence with devastating results. On average in the US, 60% of all suicides are commited with a firearm. 70% of all homicides are done by a gun. 41% of all robberies involve a gun and 21% of all cases of aggravated assault are commited with a gun. Nearly half a million non-fatal crimes involving guns take place every single year. Guns are not the root of the problem of violence. What they are, however, is the recurring and undeniable constant in gun violence that plays a much more important role than any of the other factors. While they are not the underlying reason for people's violent behavior, the American gun culture, the glorifying of an armed society and the easy access to firearms are the reason that this violence turns into gun violence. Like I said in my other post, gun control is no magical fix for all of these problems. But it is part of the successful treatment of the issue.
