"At least you can say the Roseanne reboot lasted longer than most members of the Trump administration" - The Guardian.
Never watched this show but I don't see any issues with this leading to its cancelation. Saying dumb racist things isn't usually what sponsors like to see.

Can't say I'm a big fan. Had zero expectations and only went to see it because a bunch of other people went and I'm still let down by it. I usually love long movies but this just dragged on for ages and meandered without being too compelling. 5/10, maybe a 6 if I'm generous. Not bad but wouldn't recommend.

Of course not, although that doesn't mean that hate speech laws should necessarily be avoided.

I finished writing my bachelor thesis the other day, and got the green light from my supervisor to submit it. The examination seminar will be on either Thursday or Friday, hope it goes well.
I won't get my diploma immediately either way though, as I'm missing credits and will have to fix that during summer.
Good luck dude. I supervise and correct people's Master's theses. The more people we get to pass the better for us.

Plenty of celebrities and politicians have said or done things that weren't even (that) harmful but are still being associated with them by the general public years or decades later. Come on Verb. You're smarter than this and are just being contrarian for the sake of it.
duly noted
lacking any desire to speak ill of the recently deceased over such petty bullshit (and this IS petty bullshit) is being contrarian for the sake of it
Happy to hear that. Saves me the effort of going over the difference between tainted and ruined, even though I'm sure you already know it. Just to be clear though, I'm not speaking ill of him nor am I defending the people who try to slander him by bringing up his old tweets and outbursts. The only point I've been making is that public persons being shitty when it's seen, recorded, shared and remembered by heaps of people does taint their memory. Regardless of whether you see them differently because of it or whether you think it's absolutely meaningless and shouldn't matter at all, the fact remains that to many it does and that the negative association will continue to exist as a blemish in the eye of the general public. That's all. I agree with you that it's petty to bring that stuff up now in an attempt to drag him through the mud some more.

To bring up a scumbag like that as if to say what total biscuit said wasn't bad is whataboutism because you're trying to absolve him of wrongs he committed. but i'm not
i'm just saying flee's attitude about it is stupid
The only thing stupid here is denying that someone acting poorly in public when it's observed and remembered by tens of thousands of people and saved on Twitter forever taints their memory. There's a huge difference between an ordinary person saying or doing something shitty and a public figure / celebrity doing the same in public where it's forever recorded and remembered by many. You saying something mean to a friend or family member is not even remotely comparable to a well known person acting like a douche against random people in front of cameras or on the internet. Plenty of celebrities and politicians have said or done things that weren't even (that) harmful but are still being associated with them by the general public years or decades later. Come on Verb. You're smarter than this and are just being contrarian for the sake of it.

it's something i tacked on to the end to further ridicule the idea that someone's legacy is tattered because of mean words, because that is an idea worth ridiculing That's just stupid though. Tainted doesn't mean ruined. Lennon's legacy is undisputably dirtied by his domestic violence even though he's still considered to be one of the greatest musicians of his century. The fact that Biscuit only passed away a day ago and I've seen already heaps of people bring up his past comments and attitude illustrates that his outbursts, insults and pretty obscene attacks have negatively affected how he is remembered. I couldn't give a shit either but trying to deny that this won't always be a smudge on his record that is remembered by many (his cancer tweet is literally one of the first Google autocomplete suggestions) because you don't think that "mean words" aren't that important is just dumb and deliberately dense.

I'd recommend he just bump up to an i7 instead, Ryzen barely performs on the same level as an i7 when it comes to gaming. I will admit though I don't know about its streaming performance.
Seems pretty good. Might want to consider Ryzen for streaming + gaming though. Ryzen has more threads and cores which makes it more suited for streaming and general workstation tasks. It depends on what matters to OP the most.

If you're down with reading something a bit more serious, I can recommend Frank Pasquale's "The Black Box Society" or Cathy O'Neil's "Weapons of Math Destruction". They're not exactly light or casual reading but I've come to consider them close to must-reads in our age of big data, algorithmic decision-making and large-scale predictive analysis. They're written by renowned scholars in their fields (Harvard mathematician, data scientist and former hedge fund financial analyst / Yale law professor specializing in AI and big data ethics) and can be pretty eye-opening if you're unfamiliar with the topic.

It's pretty poetic how he told someone to "get cancer and die" and then proceeded to get cancer and die.
Didn't even realize that was him but apparently he's said some pretty shitty things in the past. Definitely taints "his legacy" or whatever you wanna call it, but he still doesn't deserve this.
i can't think of a single person who hasn't said shitty things in the past
i don't think i'd trust a person who's never said a shitty thing
Sure thing, but there's different levels of shittiness. We've all insulted people and said offensive stuff but "get cancer and die", "die you fucking piece of shit, die alone", "get cancer enjoy your third-world hellhole, eat a dick", "fucking kill yourself" - all unironic, in total seriousness and because of people talking about him online? Gonna go out on a limb here and say that these comments are shittier and well beyond what most people tend to say.
Anyways, I never watched this guy's videos and have no feelings towards him either way. His death is a shame and I'm not at all interested in dragging him through the mud or anything, but the stuff he's said unfortunately does taint his memory.
tbh i dont even remember why he said that.
Bad stuff happening IRL and people online messing with him, probably.

I wish customer could consent to this stuff
but nope.
To what stuff?
Like if they could agree to keep things the way they are.
So you don't need to jump through hoops just to open a customer email etc.
Informed consent is pretty excellent though. The GDPR is a great piece of legislation.

The Black Community: "The portrayal of our race within the media is incredibly problematic as it causes us to be perceived though negative stereotypes, which fuels racism. Also the word nigger is offensive and very sensitive for us. Please refrain from using it."
Also The Black Community: *Invents Gangster Rap and insists on calling each other niggers.*
I think you have a deep misunderstanding of what hip hop culture actually is. Not surprising from white people of the 4chan generation who think being edgy is cool though.
The black community is tired of discrimination. White edgelords can claim "le doesn't exist" but there is a very clear distinction between how different races are treated in this country. Cops don't beat white people like they do black people and it has everything to do with racism and generalization (see: you generalizing an entire race). Hip hop culture is about embracing the shit you've been dealt with, the poverty and the racial slurs, and making music out of it. I can tell all of you dumbasses must be from rural Michigan or some garbage flyover state from what I read on here, it's like you don't even interact with black people. I live in Atlanta and almost nobody gives a fuck when I white person says nigga unless it's actually them being racist. I've seen people get offended by it and they just get laughed at
But of course this is sep7agon, a mutant spawn of retards with brain damage that couldn't quite make it on 4chan. You can tell with inbreds like challengerx who make up some racist edgelord shit and then disappear when another white loser like himself shoots up a school for the 5th time this month
It's well established that racial discrimination and privilege are very real things in the US but he didn't say anything about that. Bit of an overreaction my dude.

I never understood why people hated this so much
Because they see it as complacency and unwillingness to take any real actions due to misaligned priorities or lobby groups having politicians in a vice. There's no other developed country in the world with gun violence rates as high as the US or as many schools/public places getting shot up by lone gunmen, and both of these trends have actually been on the rise again in the last few years. Many people either flatout blame American gun culture and its loose gun control policies or consider them at the very least instrumental to or facilitating of all these shootings. No one has an issue with a politicians offering condolences and sympathies when this happens. People are just upset that "thoughts and prayers" (neither of which actually do anything) have become a substite for any sort of meaningful action and are just mindlessly repeated over and over again as the countdown until the inevitable next shooting starts ticking away.
