Al Jazeera for the rest.
Figures
BBC and* Al Jazeera for the rest, which only rarely happens as my primary sources cover pretty much everything. AJ is pretty good though.

You should probably start the MQ now. It leads you to rivet city quickly, and you get some cool loot from those quests.
Also, do Anchorage (Quest: Aiding the Outcasts) as your first DLC. It's the easiest by far and gives you some great rewards at the end. It gives you Power Armour Training, too, so you can use power armour at any point in the game.
Alright, I guess it's time to go find dad then.

Yeah.
In the Survival Guide quest, how much you do (IE Lie, bare minimum or everything) actually affects the quality of the guide and how people react to it later on after the quest. I always liked things like that.
Oh really? Good to hear.
It's pretty cool. If you just lie and make everything up, then the radio guy just spends half the time slagging you off and you sometimes encounter random wastelanders dead with a copy of the book in their inventory or they get pissed off at you if you save them and tell them you wrote it.
It's why I feel bad for lying in this quest. Even if I'm playing a bad guy.
Well shit. There have been times I actually did the objective and still lied to get the bonus XP from the speech check.

Not to sure if I'd really equate emulation to backwards compatibility, especially when this is in all likelihood going to be a paid service. To me, backwards compatibility means that you can either insert your old game discs and play the games like that (even if all it does is read the disc to determine its contents and then emulates the game), or that you can somehow play games you have linked (as in registered or previously downloaded) to your account that you then get to replay.
Good news nevertheless, but to call this backwards compatibility seems a little strange when it's just going to be emulation.

Two Belgian news papers (De Standaard and De Morgen), De Tijd / The Times for economics and then BBC or Al Jazeera for the rest.

Local news. Abc specifically.
I also watch CNN from time to time.
I always heard it was a pretty good news source, except for the reports of some leftist bias lately.

Alright, so the issue of Megaton is still on the table as I'm wrapping up some quests there. The only thing stopping me from blowing it up is Walter buying all my scrap metal. I'd hate to lose him at this point.
Other notable progress:
- completed chapter 2 of the Wasteland Survival Guide. Next part: Rivet City.
- brokered a truce between the Family and the people in Arefu. Made my very own Shishkebab, learned how to drink blood and then murdered the entire Family before stealing Vance his sword.
- discovered the slavers in Paradise Falls and bought myself a companion (Clover) before setting the children free and obtaining the location of Little Lamplight.
- Avenged little Brian's family by killing all the Fire Ants (including the queen) and getting the extra Ant Might perk. Promised the kid I'd find him a good new home with family before I sold him to the abovementioned slavers.
Things are going well and evil people have started noticing my actions. Currently focusing on melee and small weapons, primarily using the shishkebab, vampire's sword, chinese assault rifle, hunting rifle and combat shotgun. Next stop is either Rivet City (as several quests lead me there) or Little Lamplight. Haven't dealt with the main quest at all after reaching Megaton, as I'm just doing whatever seems fun. Currently level 8 or 9, so I'll be taking Luciana's advice soon by starting some of the DLC.
Also, I had no idea you were doing something similar, Verb. I hope you don't mind, as I'm focusing a lot more on evil than your good karma playthrough.

Never had an online battle. Dragonite is my bby though. Dragonite is kind of a one-trick-pony, tbh. He's a dragon who can do dragon, ice, flying, water, fire, thunder, hyperbeam and fighting all in one. Literally the best pokemon in existence.
>hyper beam
Yeah, the one turn recovery is pretty shitty. You can't switch out to avoid it, can you?
Yeah, you can't. Except in Gen I, where if you manage to defeat the target with it, it bypasses the recharge entirely. I'm sure that was just a glitch, though. Gen I was an utter mess.
I take it that moves like that are rarely ever / never used in competitive battling at this point? Solar Beam, Hyper Beam and the likes?

Dragonite is one of the most predictable pokemon ever. Literally everyone runs the same Multiscale/Weakness Policy/Dragon Dance/Earthquake/Dragon Claw/Fire Punch setup.
I don't know what multiscale or weakness policy is, but Drake pretty much fucked Ash his entire team with a Dragonite knowing thunder, earthquake, hyperbeam and fire blast, so there's that. Skip to 19:30 for undeniable proof of Dragonite's greatness. But do stop watching before he dies due to Pikachu shitting on his head or something because that's clearly not canon.

Football / soccer is pretty boring to watch, but I'd still watch it over American football.

He's the best and most famous football player of all time. I only know him, Wes Welkers, Tom Brady and Tim Tebow, so that's saying something. He's like the Joe Dimaggio or Babe Ruth of baseball.

I really hope this all ends the same way that the (´・ω・`) story ended.
And not the real one because uh... that ended very badly.
Will you go watch the cherry blossoms with me, Psy-sama?
senpai noticed me

Seriously though, I wasn't aware there was an ending to the denko story. Got a link?

Notable events so far:
- convinced Butch that his mother was already dead, despite her screaming for help in the next room while being devoured by radroaches. Killed the mother while he was away and then beat his skull in with a baseball bat when he came back and started blaming me for her death.
- beat the overseer to death as his daughter stood and watched, then told her I felt no remorse about killing such a cowardly man.
- convinced some random woman in a shack to give me 400 caps for a guy I don't know.
Just entered Megaton now, should I blow it up or no?
obviously you should extort anyone you can first, before blowing them up
GRAB.EVERYTHING.
Currently doing some quests there, then we might get to that part. Helping out with the Wasteland Survival Guide atm. Already convinced the meth guy in Megaton to become my drug supplier and got the doctor to give me info on the android man. Not sure who else there is to blackmail.

Go to the northeast corner of the map to a small town called Old Olney. There was a big battle there between the Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel so there's a lot of dead bodies there. At the center of town, there's a body with the unbreakable T-51B Winterized Armor.
And don't go to Point Lookout until you're like level 25 or higher and have a shit ton of ammo and good weapons.
Yeah, I'm gonna call BS on that. >_> I also don't want to be overpowered, so wouldn't do it even if it was true.

Oh you've played before, duh. You know then.
Didn't get too far into the game and this was years ago, though. Didn't even play any of the DLC. My companion bugged out during the Memory Lane quest. Couldn't find him anywhere. Tried all the suggestions I could find to no avail. Figured I'd just move on and forget about him. A little while after, some other quest required me to temporarily accept another companion to continue with the story line (if I remember correctly), which I couldn't do because it kept saying I already had an active companion that I couldn't dismiss or anything. I didn't feel like reloading an old save and replaying hours of lost gameplay, so I kinda just stopped playing the game at that point.
