They are exactly like souls though. Unused itemised humanities just sit in your inventory (like the Soul of an undead warrior and such you picked up), while the used or "soft" ones are displayed in the top left corner of the HUD. That number should read 0 now and will turn into a 1 when you use a humanity. You can save them and only use them mid battle as they fully heal you as well, but that's always risky.

Not that anyone cares, but we're close to finishing this. I died on the run I was talking about in this thread, but I only have 3 bosses to go now. Just killed Guardian Dragon, so now there's Giant Lord, Watcher / Defender and Nashandra left. Give me good energy people. >_>

Look for shortcuts to your bonfires, Verb. The entire map is intricate. There is a ladder you can kik down if you look above that bonfire in Undead Burg.

But yeah, take Luciana's advice to heart. One of the best things about Dark Souls is its amazing level design. Everything is connected and makes perfect sense. There is much you can learn from just forming a mental image of the map and thinking of how it all fits together.

For the Black Knight, I'm actually pretty relieved he didn't drop anything more. There's a small chance he drops his weapon which is very strong. I've read about numerous people getting it and then completing the game thinking it's not particularly challenging, only to find out that it's more of a crutch that'll get you through most of the game with ease. Winged spear is a good weapon but yeah, it's not always going to be this strong. A lot of it depends on what enemies you're fighting. Blunt attacks are very strong against heavily armored enemies, for example, while thrust and pierce does well against flesh. You'll find that your spear won't be as effective against different enemy types later. You'll never really find anything in barrels or boxes, but there might be something lying underneath or behind them. Just rolling through them or punching them with your fist will help you save durability when breaking them. The creature is called a crystal lizard. They sometimes show up and will run away before burrowing and disappearing. You gotta get them fast or they'll get away. They usually drop titanite, which is the material required to enforce and upgrade your weapons when you reach a blacksmith. Very important stuff. Most bosses don't have an obvious weakness or gimmick. Taurus is only your first real boss in the game and there is a way to beat him more easily. But after Taurus? Most bosses will just be you, your weapon and them. No gimmicks, no easy tricks, no cheap wins. Of course, they're going to be weaker to some things than to others, but there won't be many "plunge attack to take away 50% of his health" sorta things anymore. Welcome to Dark Souls, as they say. And no complaints about your Taurus victory. He's still kind of an introductory boss, so the upcoming ones probably won't be as easy anymore and won't be easily beatable by throwing some firebombs at them. You kill them any way you can. Congrats! Seeing how you beat the Taurus Demon and probably won't ever again, read the spoiler for one of the "tricks" I was expecting you to find. Spoiler As soon as you cross the fog gate, turn right and look up. There's a ladder right next to the door. Trigger Taurus' appearance, run back and climb up the ladder. You can use the tower to plunge attack like with Asylum Demon and do large amounts of damage.

The Halo 2 BR is technically the strongest BR in the game as it's four shot bursts instead of three.
Now I can literally enjoy melting on eye contact while half the population enjoys their luck based draw while I just sit here and furiously tug on my weiner over the number 12 I unlocked for an emblem from a gold pack.
Pretty sure it's not actually stronger or kills faster, though.
