Yeah, Djoker has been reigning supreme for a while now. Very dominant player that no one can beat consistently. Too bad Federer is getting old.
Mhm, no denying Djokovic is an incredible player. I believe he has won 6/6 Aussie opens. I would be happy to see Murray win more grandslams tbh. If Andy Murray wins Wimbledon again, I'll be happy about that.

Backstabbing is a lot harder than it seems.
Best tip for backstabbing is one that kept me from being able to do it successfully myself. You need to leave some time between any other action (aside from moving) and attempting to backstab. What this means is that you have to drop your shield for a fraction of a second before backstabbing someone. So don't block an attack and then keep holding your shield up as you swerve around the opponent. First lower your shield for a second or so and then attempt the backstab.

PVP purposes. I'm trying to keep my soul memory relatively low with both illusory rings (making my weapons invisible to others), so it's important that I don't waste any souls whatsoever. I'm trying not to buy upgrade materials or level up too high, so I'm hanging on to my souls until I can actually use them.

The best part about losing your souls is that you don't have to walk on eggshells anymore.
I mean, you still do, but some of the tension is gone, because you don't have anything to lose anymore.
Yeah having a crap ton of souls can be a burden. My rule of thumb is that after I beat a boss, I spend them.

Subs are almost always superior. Dubs are only acceptable in rare circumstances (such as for children's shows) and are very rarely well done. I still find it very surprising that so many Americans have issues with subtitles.
That being said, none of it applies to anime and I always find it strange that this conversation so often focuses on that. I don't watch really watch anime but from the few bits I've seen here and there, I can't say I've ever heard a subbed anime that didn't sound absolutely horrendous. Japanese voice acting for anime is just... eh.

I have many duplicate items. How do I get rid of them?
Start, inventory, X on an item, "leave/discard". Been a while since I played DS1 but that's more or less it. There's also an item you can buy called the bottomless box that allows you to store items at each bonfire. You don't really have to get rid of anything, though. The game only cares about what you're actually wearing and wielding, as you have infinite inventory space. But I can understand wanting to get rid of the clutter.

Yeah, I know you were joking. She's doing alright. She enjoys living here and is fitting in nicely. Now that the exams are over, we're starting to practice her Dutch more, as that's going to be pretty crucial later. She had her final exam of the semester yesterday and is very nervous about the results. She worked hard all semester long but was still taken back by how challenging it turned out to be. The program she's in has a strong focus on law (some of the classes she's taking are ones that I've taken in the past, for example) which makes it especially hard for people without a legal background. Results are due in a little over a week, so we'll see how it turns out.

Nah, we're done. I'm not here to claim that what I'm doing is the 1337 hardest and best school program in the world (because it isn't), nor did I make this to boast. I'm just relieved to be done studying for the time being and was looking to talk to people as I have nothing else on my hands for the time being. Solonoid can keep his delusions and think he's the genius he clearly is not. I can always get him the email addresses of the 3 American students in my program who already have an American PhD (2 from an Ivy league school) so Sol can tell them that the program they moved halfway across the world for is garbage and that he could do it without even opening any of the books or reading the materials. I'm sure they'd take the boasting from someone like that to heart.

I might not pity you so much if you said those materials were for a research project, but seeing as they were just for a summerical exam, I'm inclined to say that your instructors are failing you.
It's kind of funny how little you know about this. My university as a whole was ranked among the top 50 institutions of higher education in the world, with my faculty of law being one of the 20 best on a global level, being partnered with Harvard and such. The list of my professors include world renowned academics such as the president of the European Council, federal advisor on digital progress who worked together with the founders of Wikipedia and Google to establish their European privacy policies, the chairman of the European Court of Justice, Belgian prime minister, judge at the European Court of Human Rights, minister of justice and advisors to international organizations around the world (many of which based in the US). My copyright professor was specifically requested by the US government to help the 2013 overhaul of the American Copyright Act in order to implement a semi first-to-file system. Numerous of my professors hold chairs at Harvard, Yale, Oxford and many other prestigious universities all over the world. Just because your education so far has been different from mine does not mean that you have some sort of authority on this matter. I genuinely pity you in return if you think that simply attending lectures is the sole proper way of education and that a high page count is a sign of incompetence. Don't forget that I'm taking a specialised Master's which requires all of its applicants to have a Master's in law. They don't try to apply some common core logic and "leave no one behind". They try to weed out everyone but the most capable so that a degree like this actually means something and shows that the 15-20% of students who end up graduating actually have what it takes. It's really quite disappointing that you can't see that and feel the need to put down others because of your own insecurities and laughably wrongful perceptions of superiority. A condescending attitude does not suit anyone well, especially when they have absolutely nothing to show for it. So unless you actually have a Master's in law from one of the top faculties in the world lying around, I really don't think you're in any position to judge what it takes to make it in this field and how high page counts somehow are the result of incompetence. Just because your material can easily be communicated and learned verbally due to its likely relatively low degree of complexity doesn't mean that the same goes for everything. No need to be a dick when you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Just makes you look like an uninformed ass because of the broad assumptions you're making.

Finally done with my exams after 40 something days of studying. Pic related, it's the materials for the final 2 of my 5 exams. Hoping I did well, but not so sure about 1 of them. At least I now have a few days off before the next semester.  But how are you, Flood? Life's good or bad?
