free information is a human right.
That's not entirely true though.
Yes it is.
Not really. While the right to information is pretty well recognized, it's easily one of the rights that is subjected to the most limits and has never been extended to the information being free (as in free of charge).

Just caught a shiny Dunsparce in yours, Psy. Thanks fam. You should unlock your 3rd pokemon though.
Um, for which game? It's been quite a while so I've kinda forgotten how to.
I know that I have a chansey for my third in XY and iirc it's the same for both games <.<
Yeah, XY. I'm only getting a Loudred and Dunsparce for you.
hmm
I think I have to be online in the game at the same time as you, are you online ingame at the moment? If so I'll turn it on and log into X
Yeah, I'm online right now. Would be cool if you could do it, but no rush.

I remember the stone ages.
No one recognizes a free and unlimited right to information.
Obviously people do, otherwise Sci-Hub wouldn't exist.
Wikipedia would require a subscription. Free information is the biggest, most supported internet movement of all time.
That's wrong though. Just because people support the sharing of free information on the internet does not mean that there's a claim for it being a human right.

despite some indefensible claims that access to information is a human right.
Well, it is almost universally recognized to be one. Numerous countries recognize it (often as a part of freedom of speech and interpreted by high courts) and it's part of several of the prime treaties on human rights in the world. The lunacy simply lies in the few who claim that it's an entirely free and unlimited right.

Added both codes
You sure that's right? Keeps telling me it's invalid.
Added Psy successfully though.
I think it might be 6347 instead of 6357
try that
Yep, that's it. Added now. Thanks.

So the girlfriend and I are looking for some more shiny Pokemon and it turns out that the Friend Safari apparently is a really good place for that. Only problem being that I don't use my DS for anything other than casual pokemon, so I don't have very many people in my friends list. So if you have Pokemon X/Y and want to be my friend (officially and recognized by Nintendo), add one or both of these and post your own friend code in here.

What Psy said. If we're going to consider that NSFW we might as well require the NSFW tag for all threads and ban those who swear without putting it in a spoiler. We're not going down the path of banning naughty words.
Fucking do it.
Don't tread on me.

Pretty good so far. Passed all my classes the first semester and am just 5% short of magna cum laude. Surprisingly so, as a lot of people failed numerous classes.

SCOTUS is not very influential on a larger scale, but still worth paying attention to.
Care to elaborate?
SCOTUS (obviously) has a very limited scope and rarely makes decisions that matter outside of the US or create "waves", so to say.

Interesting news. Can't say I agree with him and his literal and statist interpretation, but he was a decent enough scholar. Curious to see where this is going to go. SCOTUS is not very influential on a larger scale, but still worth paying attention to.

Just hatched a shiny Tyrunt. Not as neat as 5 years of hunting for a shiny Rayquaza, but damn.
I was trying to breed a competitive Blaziken once and got a shiny Torchic in 6 eggs

Shame shiny Blaziken/Mega Blaziken are disappointing

Got a shiny greninja a while back. They look great.

Not sure if these kinds of threads are appropriate in Serious, but a mod will see it eventually.
Yeah, I am going to move this to Flood if you don't mind, OP. While we have been allowing more things in the Serious board, they do need to pertain to a sufficiently "serious" and specific topic. "AMA about economics, as I have a degree in that" is fine. "Serious discussion of suicide and self harm" is also fine. "This is me, AMA for advice or whatever" is a bit too general and not sufficiently "serious" to go in this board. Mind if I move it to the Flood?
