can you wear them on your feet and walk around comfortably
yea yea, i get it. who cares as long as they do their job
Get the bottom ones. To me, the top pair seems like something you'd only wear when actually playing sports. Bottom pair is more casual too.

Depends on what sport you'd be buying them for.
Chillin'
Those are strange shoes for chilling. I guess the bottom ones would work best in that case.

Sep7agon will probably have died by the time Verb gets around telling me why he hates me. They say this place will only last a week, if even that.

Replaying DS1 makes me sick of Undead Burg

Do a sl1 run. Let me know when you hit capra.
All bosses?

Good job Verb. Bit of a shame that you summoned Solaire especially after already managing to kill one of the Gargoyles (the second one is easy as shit by himself if you manage to stay clear of his fire), but I understand your predicament. I'd suggest you put in at least 10 attempts a boss before summoning anything, but it's your call.
Yeah, well, I'm glad you understand my rationale, at least. I don't intend to take advantage of summons for anyone else in the future, unless I'm in another 1v2 situation--in which case, I'll use it as a last resort with no qualms.

Also, keep in mind that the only reason I managed to kill the first gargoyle the first time was because I had the pine resin boost. Without it, it just would've been harder. At which point, the summon sign started to look very friendly.

It just felt like I was deliberately gimping myself for no real reason, and that's kinda silly to do on your first playthrough.
Yeah, I know. I just meant that getting them down to a single Gargoyle is by far the hardest part of the fight. The second one hardly poses much of a challenge, as he flies around a lot less, behaves more passively and his fire attack is very easy to dodge and punish. Even with the resin, the fact that you already managed to kill the first one suggests that you probably would have managed to defeat both by yourself in less than 5 additional tries. No shame in using the tools the game gives you though.

A future 2v1 boss fight is probably the hardest one in the game. Props if you manage to beat that one by yourself and not use a summon to make it easier.

Logitech G400s.

And by "massively", I don't mean by like 15 levels. I mean running into gargoyles at like sl120 or some shit.
Oh. I'm only level 21 right now--I assume that's low or where I'm at, right?

I updated the OP with my current equipment and stats and shit.
Nah, average. Looked at some recommended level ranges for DS1 and 15-20 is the average for Gargoyles.

Don't forget though, weapon upgrades and equipment matter a lot more than stats, especially in the early game. Someone with minimal stats and a +10 sword will still do good damage while a player with 40 strength but a base level sword won't hit as much.

I'd suggest you put in at least 10 attempts a boss before summoning anything, but it's your call. Solaire just happens to be ridiculously OP for that fight. On NG+ he can literally solo both gargoyles without you having to lift a finger, which is saying something. No greater feeling than getting better each attempt and then finally fucking up the boss with nothing but pure skill.

And yeah, tails are a common theme in Dark Souls. If you see a boss (or mini-boss) with one, always try to cut it off. You never know what you might find.

Anyways, congrats. Gargoyles was the final boss of what many consider the first introductory part of the game. From now on, no more freebies, easy plunges or convenient pine resins that just so happen to be very effective against the boss to come. Have at it. :)

this makes me sad
Got it a few days ago and forgot I took a screenshot of it until you did. :p Too bad he didn't include the shield.

How many sets do you have now? I've got more than 20 of each...
Probably around the same, but I sold them all. 500 souls each isn't that much, but it adds up.

That's pretty damn misleading, as most of that is ocean that doesn't technically belong to the US.

The green dots are the kingdom of the Netherlands, a country smaller than most US states. I doubt anyone would consider the distance between the mainland and the two islands on the other side of the world when deciding on how large the country is.

btw electric cars and hybrids are bad for the environment

amount of lithium mining needed to create these batteries causes more environmental damage than most petroleum cars will do in emissions in its lifetime
lmao this fucking retard bought that facebook garbage
i dont go on facebook
I've read a few things claiming it's still ultimately better, though. Not a car person at all, but I'm not buying into the "hybrid/electric is worse for the environment" just like that.
if lithium mining is that bad then it is rn

the car itself wont be bad
Saw this earlier today. Can't say it looks that bad. Not saying obtaining lithium is good for the environment, but Google is telling me it's really not that bad.

So, would anyone actually like to tackle her points?
Quote
Nuclear energy is dirty, dangerous and expensive and should be ruled out for all those reasons. Fukoshima is the poster child of the nuclear power industry. You can put it in someone else's back yard or on the other side of the world but we are all endangered by it.

And we don't need it! Renewable are the least expensive. Nuclear is the most expensive. It only survives because our government is in bed with the industry and campaign contributions by the loan guarantees that the industry cannot operate without. The continued existence of this lethal form of energy is a tribute to the corruption of our political system. Clean up our energy. Clean up our politics. Join the Green movement.

I mean, people are always talking about how a disaster couldn't happen, but... Fukushima happened.
Probably not the best person to answer this (no doubt Turkey could do a better job at it), but nuclear is generally a pretty good source of energy.

It's not particularly dirty, as it creates much less emission than most other sources of energy and we are getting increasingly efficient at safely disposing of the waste.

It's not that dangerous, as there have only been 2 major nuclear catastrophies in the 70+ years we've been using it. Tchernobyl in 86 and then Fukushima more recently. In Fukushima, there have been no confirmed deaths due to radiation poisoning and no increase in radiation-related issues in the area. Both of those incidents occured in older plants (Gen 1 and 2) that were designed and built back in the 1960s. We've come a long way since then, and other sources of energy like coal and petroleum have claimed thousands more lives than nuclear has.

It's not that expensive. While it might be a lot more expensive to built initially, nuclear reactors are so much more efficient than any renewable source that it should be worth it in the long run. You'd need a massive amount of solar panels and wind mills to even be comparable to what a nuclear plant working 24/7 can put out.

I'm pretty on the fence about it myself, as renewable energy really does appear to be sustainable for the future as well, but many of the arguments against nuclear energy are pretty weak. It's extremely efficient, increasingly safe and has a very low impact on the environment. Major scientific advancements have been made over the past few years. Fusion rather fission is in development (insane energy output, abundant fuel source, no greenhouse gas, no interruptions, no problems of scale) and there's new ways to dispose of the waste. There's good reason to assume it'll be the power source of the future in a decade or two.

Flee, if I can get it on my Pokemon X along with ORAS, I'll send you one.
That'd be great. Serebii says it's both for XY and ORAS, so if you have both games I believe you can get them twice. It's Xerneas until next Tuesday and the week after it's Yveltal.

Seriously though, this region locked bullshit is stupid as fuck. The US gets two awesome shinies and Europe gets a single normal Zygarde. GG nintendo.

Hello, my esteemed American friends. As a poor European who is currently being denied access to the US-only Shiny Xerneas and Yveltal event, I was wondering if someone with multiple games / systems has a spare to share. Yveltal is one of my favorite shinies, so that would be pretty great.
Shiny Yveltal looks like bacon
