Listening to more of the songs now. 12 hours to go and we're down to:
Acknowledgements. Lay-out. Bibliography. Table of contents. Page numbers and cover page.
Need more music or are you good?
We're good. Only thing left is getting the page numbers / cover page figured out and it isn't working for me. I'm gonna ask my girlfriend in the morning, she's good with that kind of stuff.

Ver-buh-tim. Always has, always will be.
Still don't like the way it sounds.
I feel that way with the word "manga" and the heavy A you're supposed to use.
For me it's just a matter of habit. I know that it's supposed to be Ver-bae-tim, but it's pronounced differently in just about every language I speak. In Dutch, French, Latin and German it is all pronounced like "ver-bah-tim", so the English pronunciation just sounds silly to me. I say it correctly when actually speaking English, but for the purposes of this forum and to identify one of our users? It'll always be "ver-buh-tim" when I read it.
He is lying. He doesn't always say it correctly in English.
I don't think I've ever used it around you to describe anything other than the forum user. He's an original creation.

Holy fuck that's a big assignment fam, I feel bad for the people marking a class full of them.
Well, it is a Master's thesis. Each student has a promotor, co-promotor, corrector and board member evaluating his thesis in front of which he has to give the oral defense in the end, so at least it's not just one person. I agree with you though, my bibliography alone is 18 pages at this point. Wouldn't want to sort through all that.

My music taste is very different. But that the things about your music library it's yours.
Similar songs to the 'On the Break One' would be welcome. It's quite engaging.

Down to the proof reading and managing footnotes part now. Ugh. Also, managing different page numbers is such a pain.

That may as well be a katana collection with that paint scheme. Congratulations, whoever did that has managed to distinguish themselves as even lower trash than the average gun but.
I agree that the Fluttershy Enfield is much better.

tbh fam, get rid of the gay ass stickers and I'd plink cans with that.

On topic: No, they don't. A person's opinion on a subject does not become better / more valid or worse / less valid because of their gender or sex. However, it is more likely that those of the subject gender have a more well formed opinion based on having more experience with it.

Considering that circumcision exists for both sexes.....
removing foreskin =/= removing basically everything about the vagina that makes it a vagina
there is no perfect facsimile of male cicumcision for females, and comparing the two is ridiculous and ignorant
Not to turn this thread into this discussion again, but that isn't correct. It's a common misconception that female circumcision is always a major procedure involving the removal and mutilation of most parts of the vagina. The WHO classifies it as a number of different types. While type III (removal of all exterior tissue and sewing) and type II (removal of inner labia) are what you'd think it is, type I only involves the nicking of the clitoral hood (which is actually made up out of the exact same tissue as the foreskin is and serves very similar purposes) and is probably the most common one of all three. It doesn't deprive the woman of all normal sexual activity and the drawbacks when performed correctly are usually minor. And those are not the only parallels with male circumcision that exist. Communities in which the practices are common (the US - Africa/Middle East) are largely uninformed about the issue and both believe the procedure to have benefits or even be necessary. Much like the flawed "but circumcision is clearner" argument, supposed benefits of hygiene are one of the main reason the procedure is still practiced. Another important reason they do it is because women tend to be okay with it. Again drawing parallels with male circumcision, the general attitude of "well, it happened to me when I was a little girl and I'm fine with my situation" is part of what drives the practice, as it rarely is men forcing women to do this, but instead the women wanting it themselves to adhere to the social standard. Much like with the jews, it's a celebrated practice that is supposed to lead the woman into adulthood. Finally, there's actually significant support from doctors in the Middle East and Africa for the practice, claiming it has actual benefits. Studies have found lower rates of HIV among circumcised females, reduced rates of certain infections and that women who have been circumcised can still reach orgasm and enjoy sexual activity. While much of this is heavily contested and likely false, it's remarkable how similar this is to male circumcision. Despite the near international consensus on the topic of both male and female circumcision, you still find doctors and medical practitioners in both areas (the US and Africa / Middle East) come out in support of it because it's a tradition they're involved with and profit from. It's true that certain types of female circumcision are objectively worse than male circumcision, but that can't really be said for the most common type. If you really just take a step back and compare both situations and the arguments in support of them, it really is pretty striking how similar and ridiculous the support for both practices is.

before I have to turn in my thesis. As it'll likely top a 100 pages and there's still a lot of work to be done, I need some good music to keep me motivated and going. Not sure if I will be sleeping much before then, so something motivating / upbeat will definitely help. Two most recent songs I've listened to were: So yeah, talk to me and keep me going or post some good music. Will be posting updates and stuff.
