I'm in a town in Cali called Mendocino, and honestly if I was gonna pack up and start fresh, I'd come here or somewhere around here. It's quaint as fuck, the weather is beautiful year round, there's a bunch of job opportunities (nothing really that will make you rich, but plenty to live off of), and most importantly pot is legal.
that's a really small town. how'd you find yourself out there?

The moment you've all been waiting for is finally here. The main esports event of the year is upon us and it's shaping up to be glorious.  First things first, the Bethesda keynote is happening in just over 2 hours. There will be a DOOM Eternal gameplay reveal as well as more details on Quake Champions, Rage 2 and probably the new Wolfenstein game as well. If he'd face criminal charges? Probably, although there's people out there who are far more capable for that. I believe everyone deserves a lawyer as due process / fair trial is one of the fundamentals of our society. But in civil court to protect his business interests and allow him to continue making money by what he's doing? Never. The man's despicable and I would not represent him there.

If you can find a specific area you want to specialize in, I'd say yes. General civil / tort law is pretty boring in my opinion but specializations can make the world of difference. My area of expertise is IT law and in particular everything that has to do with cybercrime, data protection, privacy / human rights, government surveillance and AI. But there's plenty more and you've got everything ranging from art, space or sports law to media, animal rights environment law. If you find something you're really interested in, going into law to specialize in the legal aspects of that topic can be very engaging (and lucrative).

YouTube (And all other big tech sites for that matter) should be regulated as utilities and thus beholden to the US Constitution because Google is a US based firm and is currently the main platform for people to air their political grievances. Nobody should be kicked off unless they are doing something explicitly illegal.
So you're a libertarian, which is the political affiliation that's all about laissez-faire capitalism, minimal government and maximum economic freedom at its very core, that supports the extensive regulation of and government involvement in "all big tech sites"? That seems a bit contradictory. It also makes me wonder about the practical feasibility of any of that. The thing about tech companies offering services is that they can pretty easily change where they're located. No big tech company would want to be regulated and treated as a public utility so they'd simply move their headquarters to, say, Europe where existing hate speech laws would just give them more of a reason to continue removing this kind of content.

further, these news mediums pride themselves on being outside of common journalistic integrity and actually use their radically unthorough methods of "research" to attract their viewers, because that's what people who subscribe to infowars want; the nitpicking of details to create this vision of reality that splits from an overarching analysis of facts presented by respectable mediums because it chooses to weld these things they have picked out into an absurdist image instead of using the image provided by reality itself
in other words, can we really fault anyone for telling people what they want to hear, especially when nobody else is taking them seriously anyway?
