It would be interesting to see these numbers run across what minority groups have access to guns vs white groups.
I'm sure Das and Chally would be enthused at the results.
Part of the article covers the demographics, but I didn't copy that in the thread.

God I wish the game saved your gameplay. Just had 2 of my best games ever. 15k dmg as Junk in the first round of defence (they didn't manage to cap the first point) on Anubis. 57% of team damage done and 4 golds in competitive. Similar results the game before with Soldier on the Jap map. Wish I could have saved them to see how to improve.

The Guardian - Gun inequality: US study charts rise of hardcore super owners.Harvard's Institute of Public Health and Northeastern University recently conducted a study and survey on American gun ownership. Their research is already being considered the most comprehensive and definitive insight into the details of gun ownership conducted since Duke University did the same thing in 1994. The full study is not yet published, but is scheduled to appear in a peer reviewed journal some time next year. The article is quite lengthy so I'm not going to quote it all, but the key findings are: - An estimated 55 million Americans own guns. - 3% of American gun owners own half the guns.- The percentage of the U.S. population who own guns decreased slightly from 25% in 1994 to 22% last year. - Between 300,000 and 600,000 guns are stolen each year (that's one every minute). - Gun owners tend to be white, male, conservative, and live in rural areas. - 25% of gun owners in America are white or multi-racial, compared with 16% of Hispanics and 14% of African Americans. - Handguns have become increasingly popular over rifles. - There are an estimated 111 million handguns nationwide, a 71% increase from the 65 million handguns in 1994. - Firearms are bought primarily out of fear of other persons, despite (violent) crime rates continuing to drop. In other words, the research confirms much of what was previously suggested by earlier studies and surveys. Violent crime continues to drop while the part of the population owning guns is decreasing. While the amount of guns sold and owned by private persons keeps rising due to their non-perishable nature, it is caused by an increasingly small and tiny minority stockpiling more and more firearms while gun ownership among the general public keeps falling.

Like, one of the best things about her on those maps is getting damage in well before you even get to the fight. If you know where and how, you can use her air launch to get a view at the capture point and just rain down a handful of rockets from a mile away. Obviously not very accurate, but you can get two of those salvos in before even arriving near the point on both those maps. Free damage is always good.

Anubis is the best map for Pharah. Lots of air space and corners you can jump around.
The map was Ilos, just flying around and harassing them, mad as fuck. She's alright on Anubis until point B, I usually go Zarya at that point
She's still good on point B tho. She's got perches all around the area so she can always rain justice from above.
This. She's great on Anubis all the way through. Same goes for Volskaya Industries. Just gotta know how to use her and what angles to take.

I kind of agree to some extent, in that in a lot of games the female characters just look like sexy cosplay costumes and the male characters just look normal.
In all fairness, calling them "normal" is stretching it. It's definitely true that your average woman isn't always slender with big boobs and perfect hair like they usually are in video games, but I think it's hard to deny that your typical male protagonist isn't that representative for your average guy either. They're almost always tall, large, scruffy, brawny, very muscular and with perfect facial features, which your average man definitely is not. The video raises a decent point about diversity, but I think that your stereotypical male protagonist is just as far removed from your average guy as is the case with the female counterpart.

I mean, I returned after a few months and there's still laughs to be had. An Anarchy would be pretty swell, though.
Is lolicon still not allowed on Anarchy?
Loli is not allowed because of the server location. Gore is just fine.

5 gold medals. Hog power. <3
Let's play Spot the Shitty Healers!
Saddest thing is that there were two of them. I can understand one, but outhealing both a Symmetra and a Mercy? One level 82, the other 47 on top of that. Step it up guys.

But I can't find anything that contradicts this.
This is evidence? A bunch of captioned pictures and quotes? The problem here is that there's nothing to contradict. It's random scraps of information. A jewish newspaper used an ad for Jewish charity which had a picture of a Palestinian girl on it. Many Jews are in powerful positions (and a lot of them probably aren't even Jewish or don't have the connections these 4chan sources claim). Some Jews or their supporters have said stupid things. Not a single one of these things, and not even all of them taken together, even come close to proving there's this massive Jewish conspiracy going on.

>studying a dead language
>7 years of intensively studying Latin
One of the best educational decisions I've ever made tbh.
Serious question, does it actually have much use (Other than personal enjoyment, of course) in law and shit? I don't really know much about it; being forced to do french at gcse pretty much killed all interest I have ever had in learning languages.
In law? Nah, not really. I mean, it helps to better understand historical aspects (Roman law) and makes it easier to grasp certain legal terms which still very often come in Latin. But in the end, anyone can learn the meaning of these Latin terms without actually knowing what the words mean, so it's not that much of an added benefit. But that was never the reason I learned Latin, nor should it be for anyone else. You learn Latin because it teaches analytical thinking more so than any other language I've encountered. You learn it because it was the foundation for French, Italian and Spanish, making it so that those languages are considerably easier to learn and can, to a certain extent, even be understood by just knowing Latin. And as many words in English have Latin roots, it would also give native English speakers a deeper understanding of the intricacies of their own language and how it relates to others. I'd consider it more of a passive skill. Ever since school I've never been in a situation where I had to rely on my knowledge of Latin to get by, even though it's pretty sweet when you can translate it in movies, monuments and the original texts of famous scripture. Now it's just a passive skill which helps analytical thinking and learning / understanding languages. People often compliment my fluency in English, even though it's only my third language. Much of it is practice, of course, but my knowledge of Latin definitely helped me understand and learn the language easier. So if I had to choose, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Would recommend to just about everyone.

Dang, looks like another failed stab at the US from Flee.
I was just curious. Once you get into variables, I don't see how you can use an x for multiplication when it's also the most common variable. Verb's post just made it seem like he was recently forced to make that sudden change. Not a stab at any country at all.

i'm willing to use bullets instead of x's for multiplication
Is this something odd in the US? Over here it's standard and taught that way since you're like 10.
I've never encountered that in England.
Dots instead of X's for multiplication, you mean?

Mass Effect 3, maybe? The bulk of the game is good
god DAMMIT you guys suck at this
I have to agree with Verb on this. Besides Verb's choice, everyone else's choice of worst video games are more medicore than horrible.
I'm pretty sure Brink and Backbreaker are horrible
Brink really wasn't that bad, imo. I picked it up for €4 and had fun playing. Even got all the achievements for it too. It was lacking and unfinished, but even then not worthy of the hate it gets. I can imagine being pissed if you paid full price at release, but worst game of the decade? It still sits at an average of 70/100 on aggregate review websites.

So far, I'd say that Hanzo and Mei are my least favorite heroes in the game. Mei for obvious reasons, because she's toxic as shit, and Hanzo because he relies even more on spamming than Junkrat and because his arrows have a hitbox the size of Reinhardt.
Also, it's a shame the MVP tickets only display one stat rather than all of them. It's a bit of a disappointment to get 4 gold medals and 16k damage as Roadhog, only to then be put up for vote for "57% hook accuracy" and get 1 vote because no one cares.

Alright, so now that I have a few perfect IV pokemons, how do I do the whole EV training to get them to actually realize their perfect potential? I know I could find guides on this and whatnot, but it's much more fun to spark some discussion about it on here. I'm on ORAS now, but can easily transfer them to XY.
Don't super train. Not only is it tedious as fuck, but it takes significantly longer than traditional EV training.
Buy all the power items from the battle maison. Theses gives +5 EVs (iirc) for that particular stay when held, regardless of the Pokemon you defeat. Pokerus also doubles EV gains and both effects stack.
Horde training is by far the fastest method. There are hot spots all over the region for each particular stat. For example attack EVs are best gained through weepinbell hordes. Using sweet scent guarantees horde encounters.
Hm, thanks. This sound good to everyone? http://www.azurilland.com/forums/pokemon-6th-generation/user-guides-6th-gen/450081-wigglers-guide-to-horde-ev-training-x-y-or-as
