Do you have an answer to the problem he raises of our lack of innovation? The main thing I'm seeing are a lot of assumptions and anecdotes with little proper data to support it. The variability hypothesis is still just a hypothesis with wildly different results based on the tests taken and the circumstances that apply. There's plenty of studies out there that challenge this idea and found that the differences in performance and test scores are a lot smaller than what those curves would suggest, and that they are the result not of biology and inherent differences, but of social and cultural factors. This is somewhat supported by probably the largest research of this kind in the world, being Duke University's gender gap in academia study. Looking at literally hundreds of thousands of teens and their standardized test results, they found that while men are indeed more present at the absolute top level of math / science / spatial reasoning tests (0.01%), the representation of women in that top group has increased fourfold over the last 20 years because of our efforts to give talented women the opportunity to succeed in male dominated fields. The people behind the study even used these results to suggest that we're actually not doing enough to foster women's talents and that we would benefit from doing so to solve some of the struggles we face. The science behind his entire argument is very shaky at best and even seems to undermine his own arguments. The anecdotes of so many notable geniuses in the past being male is likely to have a lot more to do with how those fields were almost impossible to access for women because of society back then. The very Wikipedia article on the curve he uses even addresses this in detail by pointing out that it was not empirical evidence but "armchair dogma about innate female inferiority" that played a big role in keeping women down and out of positions of eminence. Instead of endlessly drumming on about lists of male geniuses (this dude really loves the sound of his own voice) and how we're going to miss out on the next Edison, Einstein or Newton, he should've spent a bit more time researching and talking about all of the female geniuses we probably missed because of their historical lack of opportunities to develop themselves. I'm also seeing no evidence that his solution would make any sort of meaningful impact on the main problem of innovation he presents. Where is the proof that substantial numbers of men with high potential are being denied the right opportunities to develop their talents and get into STEM, and that is caused by us somehow supporting women in science too? To my knowledge, men are still heavily favored in STEM fields and make up the majority there. If the next genius can't fulfil his potential for whatever reason, I see this being caused by a lot of financial, social, motivational and situational factors rather than "sorry, we gave your spot to a dumb girl". Where is his proof that it's somehow women who are killing it for men so that we should leave university to just males? What we need is more of a meritocracy. Lowered barriers for both sexes and schooling that gets children and young adults the opportunities they need to develop equally in their desired field or area of aptitude. Both of them can and will excel at the highest levels of science and tech, and we will inevitably see the differences between men and women in these top percentiles drop further. This video was probably one of the poorest and most borderline sexist things I've seen in a while and only further lowers the already very little trust I have in these youtube armchair political warriors like Sargon. Ironically enough, the guy arguing against quotas in universities seems to suggest exactly that, but only in favor of men because of his shaky and questionable reasons. Shame, because there's real arguments to be made against how we're handling gender quotas and how our current methods of schooling are less than stellar for a lot of children (see Psy's example), but instead this turned into some biased redpill thing.

From what I saw, Some people held a pro trump/pro free speech rally. Antifa kids came and started antagonizing them, breaking through dividers etc. eventually they started throwing fireworks and smoke bombs, vandalizing things.
At one point one of them threw a smoke bomb and the wind blew it back into their group causing them to start breaking up. At that point the pro Trump/pro free speech people began charging towards Antifa and when they caught up to them a brawl started between the two groups. More fireworks and smoke bombs were thrown, some Trumpers looked like they were jumped and attacked by groups of 4-5 people (possibly some antifa as well, I know some chick got clocked on the forehead by a Trumper), eventually Antifa backed off and the pro Trump/free speechers marched down the streets chanting victory.
The police did not intervene until the tail end of it all, where they arrest maybe two dozen or so people.
Seems accurate, but it's looks like both were just looking for a fight. Not defending the antifa idiots, but this seems like more than just the baddies attacking the innocent protesters. Shitheads everywhere.

Well it's your prerogative if you want to have preconceived notions about the people there, but understand that they're a hindrance on your ability to accurately analyze the situation.
It's not so much a preconceived notion as it are websites and tweets by Trump supporters, "patriots" and right wing groups present at the event discussing how to legally conceal weapons as flagpoles while literally "calling to arms" to "fight the fascists" in the "battle of Berkeley" several weeks in advance. Sorry, but you don't go around telling your group to have their weapons ready, posting pictures of violence against "the left side" as a warning, and carrying baseball bats, knives, body armor, bandanas and motorcycle helmets when you're just going to the park to enjoy a nice rally for human rights. Fuck the antifa, but pretending that these were all poor and innocent bystanders who were there only for a speech about human rights and got attacked by the bad guy aggressors is just a joke. I'm sure it was different for a few, but many of these people never showed up to listen to someone speak about free speech. This was a long awaited brawl and it very much seems like a lot of people on both sides came there specifically to look for a fight. Biased as shit website, but it's a good compilation of alt-right tweets dating back to the beginning of last month and already talking about fighting in the battle for Berkeley.

I find the whole antartic aztec temple thing rather dumb. I would've prefered it to be located in the Yutacan peninsula or the Amazon.
It helps the movie maintain the theme of isolation, though. I would be much less concerned about an expedition to a jungle or island with help close by, than an expedition to bumfuck-nowhere-Antarctica. Yeah it's pretty silly and inexplicable, but I think the setting does more good than harm.
it really doesnt, we are constantly told that the Predators prefer warm climates through two movies. it doesnt make sense. and a jungle expedition would've been amazing considering its the Predator's bread and butter and the fact that seeing Aliens jump from tree to tree attacking MARINES would've also been pretty rad
To be fair, there are ways to justify and explain it. Kinda. Based on my admittedly limited knowledge of the series, I remember the Predators came there for a trial and challenge. It would make sense for them to do this in a climate they do poorly in to test and hone their skills further. Or because the temple is so deep under the ice, you could argue that it was built back when Antarctica wasn't all that cold yet (even though that isn't entirely scientifically accurate because you'd need to go back further than human origins to have it be tropical temperatures, and it wouldn't just be covered in ice like that). It's a bit silly, but I'm with Turkey. It's excusable in a movie about Aliens fighting Predators.

Many years ago back when I was little and watched DBZ everyday on Toonami, I got pissed and shunned DBZ because every time they got to the Kid Buu saga they put the show on Hiatus and kept restarting it from a previous season with the final straw for me being when they restarted the series after the restarted from the World Tournament saga and then restarted from the beginning of the Cell saga. So I never got to finish DBZ despite being at the very end, I recently got all nine seasons on DVD and the first thing I did was picked up where I left off fourteen years ago.
All this talk about Dragonball reminds me that I've never finished the Buu saga or started the new Super series. Same thing here, more or less. I just never caught it on TV and this was before the days where you could just easily stream it all somewhere.
