I'm at a hotel in Berlin right now. They gave me a massive 5 person room just for me. Haven't had many poor experiences with hotels.

I'm finally sitting down to watch the Super dub. This should be interesting.

I enjoyed it, but once you get to, like, episode 14 or so, you should watch the movie Battle of Gods and compare.
Alright, I might do that.

Also, wasn't Super Saiyan Goku a lot more buff when he fought Frieza than he is now, or am I remembering that wrong?

How is Fox News handling this? For the FBI guy getting fired which was being blamed on the Attorney General, my dad joked that Fox News would be holding out keys ad going "Look at the jingling keys".

They ran the initial story that the NYTimes did (although more speculative) and posted the White House denial to their Facebook page.
They also did this (2:00). Denied and interview over the second he mentions Putin. Funny, but makes you wonder about their policy on linking this to Russia.

If the game doesn't allow for:

- purple skin and red eyes
- piercings and earrings
- katanas
- disliking kevin from school (fuck you kevin you peace of shit)
- catchphrases like "nothin personnel kid"

this will be a definite NOT buy from me!

Don't go into it thinking it's supposed to be the best movie ever; though. You'll just end up hating it.
Definitely this though. It's one of those movies that is an absolute must watch if you're interested in cinematography or the "science" behind movies and visual storytelling. But if you're not, don't expect some miracle on screen. By today's standards, the acting is pretty wooden, the pacing is slow, and the story drags on and is kind of lacking in several ways. Been a while since I've seen it, but if you don't care much about the technical aspects, it really isn't that enjoyable of a movie.

I don't think it's that amazing (let alone the best movie of all time), but it's a monumental and important film for a lot of reasons. The cinematography was groundbreaking and included shots, framing, moving cameras and such in a time where cinema mainly came down to a handful of people delivering lines in front of a setpiece. The director sits behind a camera which is mounted at a fixed point while actors trod around akwardly in front of it. But Kane does away with all that and frames, lights and follows every scene in very innovative ways. When looking at the movie from a more analytical point of view, it also seems like it should not at all work, but it somehow does. It incorporates so many visual and storytelling techniques in it that it you might expect a contrived mess, but it works well in a (at the time) very revolutionary kind of way.

Look at this, for example. It's the famous 1931 Dracula movie. Notice how all the shots are similar like you're watching a theatrical play from the first row? Camera movement is miminal to non-existent and all of its scenes (save a few "special effects" shots) are essentially a few people delivering lines in a relatively 2D background. And that, very simply put, is what Kane changed by actually utilizing the camera and setting to create new visual effects and set a mood / context through framing and design.

It also has a lot of pretty timeless themes of politics and economics in it, so that helps too.

I just want something to play games with. I'm not bothered about having a million different features. I'm not using it for professional audio production or anything.

Also, what are the things you mentioned before?
Look into the Sennheisers. They're pretty affordable at this point (around $100) and are pretty damn great.

The things he was referring to are basically this. It's a small microphone that you can attach to any headphones with magnets. It allows people who already have audiophile grade headphones from the likes of Grados, AKG, Sennheiser, Audio Technica and such to just use their music headphones for gaming too by just slapping on a microphone costing less than $50.

Makes it hard to take you seriously tbh.
Me talking about the MLP stuff has always just been for trolling purposes. It's amazing how just mentioning it just set people off like nothing else back in the day.

Fluttershy legit best pony though.
Is she still the Frank Burns of MLP?
They're at like 7 seasons now and I haven't seen anything past season 2 I think, so I wouldn't know. I've also never seen MASH, so there's that.

Stay away from Turtle Beaches and Tritton. Go for Astro if you want something high-quality. I have the A50's but I'd suggest the A40's if you don't mind the wires. I tend to play far away from my TV so the wireless is nice, but the battery isn't quite as long as I'd like so it ends up having to be wired anyway.

Another good thing about Astro is that they have an excellent customer service program, with lots of helpful threads on their forums.
That 300$ though.

It's one of those things where you get what you pay for.
Fair enough, although I'm not sure I would agree. I've used the A40's back in the day and didn't think the audio quality was worth the price tag. The Astros do have some pretty cool features, but at that price point you could buy audiophile grade headphones and just put a modmic on them. I'm sure they're a great headset, but I don't think I'd spend that much money on a pair when there's plenty of alternatives.

Duct Tape for fixing, or Sennheiser for some serious ones. Pricey if new, but older models are reliable as fuck (I have the ones linked, very sturdy things).
I can second this. Been using these Sennheisers for a while and they're great.

If anyone's still in high school or middle school. Have your friends ask if you want to smoke a joint when a teacher walks by. You guys walk to back of the school and blow bubbles as seen in this clip. The teacher comes by thinking your smoking some weed but it's bubbles.

You seem to have misconstrued actual terrorism with data monitoring legislation and counter terrorism.
To me, they're inextricably linked and I imagine this is how Macron intends it too. Had there not been a terrorist threat, we wouldn't be taking all these measures which affect people's lives. Terrorism changes our society and the lives of the people in it, both directly and indirectly. You are obviously free to disagree, but I see nothing wrong with referring to consequences of the threat of terrorism when saying it affects our lives.

At the end of the day, you could have maintained a courteous discussion without referring to me as a "moron" just because I don't agree with you on a particular facet of a particular topic. That's PSU tier behaviour, and it isn't something I would expect from you, seeing as how you're such an avid critic of these redpill commentators who engage in the exact same behaviour. Hypocrisy thy name is Flee.
Fair enough, but I think you're a bit sanctimonious there. You joined the discussion and your first very post was seeping with condescension and sneering. You made very bold assumptions of what I supposedly believe and paired it with snide remarks based on my nationality. Had I started a conversation with you where I immediately made it very clear that I thought your beliefs are weak, pathetic and defeatist and ended it on the derogatory note of "but I guess that only makes sense seeing how you're from the UK and it's not as if the British are used to anything better anyways", I don't think anyone would have interpreted that as me looking to maintain a "courteous discussion". I'll gladly admit that you're anything but a moron, but let's be honest and not pretend that this started off as a respectful conversation. I shouldn't have said that, but I don't think your opening post was all that fair either. Either way, my apologies.

Trainyard was good shit. 2048 was also pretty fun, as well as this one game with crossroads. Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja held my attention for a while, and so did Angry Birds. And Pokémon Go is still pretty cool despite the flaws.

Oh and League of Evil 2. That's legit a great mobile game.

I only skimmed the post but I'm not really seeing where the sexism comes in. This seems like a general critique of having support characters in a game which then supposedly becomes sexist when it happens to be a woman instead of a man.
Quote
I understand why some wouldn't like this mechanic, but just because the supporting character happens to be a woman does not make it sexist when she isn't put in that position because of her being a woman. Replace Elizabeth in Bioshock with a young man who has never left his room, doesn't know how to fight, avoids violence and has never seen the outside world, and the game and his interactions with Booker would've played out the exact same way.
See Turkey's post; this is addressed in her essay.

Again, I haven't played Bioshock Infinite, so I can't fairly comment on it, but your relatively exhaustive(?) list of defenses for Elizabeth's particular case draws a little bit of skepticism from me. It comes across like you're protesting too much. Either way, she is only one example out of the several she cited in her little montage.
Challenger probably knows it better (I haven't played the game in a while), but I remember her as a strong character and their relationship as positive and mutually supportive. She was no more of a tool than any supporting NPC might be without changing the core gameplay of the game, which brings me back to the point of this being more criticism of a basic mechanic than an issue of sexism. Yeah, she supports you, but only in ways that make sense. You don't take the lead because you're a man, you take the lead because you're the war veteran on a mission which she happens to share. She helps out with her knowledge of the area, her lockpicking skills, her awareness and role in the main story. She was a helpful and worthwhile sidekick and I cannot see the game having been any different had she been a guy rather than a girl.

As for her general point you reference, I don't think it's sufficient. I'm all in favor of getting sexism out of video games, but this doesn't get anyone anywhere. The whole point of feminism is to achieve equality. Equality implies that both can and should be treated equally. Sure, some games do propagate the whole sexual objectification and stereotyping of women as being an accessory in male power fantasies, and you could well argue that this is a problem. But the solution to that is not to force or expect all writers, developers and content creators to only put women in empowered and leading roles, or the only thing you'll achieve is inequality on the other side of the scale. "Better put the man in charge over a woman because sexism and male power fantasies" is a pretty dumb approach to take, but so is "gotta change my story around or write different characters than in my original vision because I can't have a woman in a support role" is equally stupid. I fully support empowerment of more diverse characters in games, but you're gonna run into big issues if you push it to the extreme. If having women as just a sidekick is bad when they take your orders (even when it's done in a very positive way like in Bioshock) because it reinforces the negative ways we think about men and women, then you can easily argue that we shouldn't have black people in ghetto settings because it supports the stereotype of blacks being hoodlums, and that the only way you should have blacks in games is when they're all upper class, well spoken and on their best behavior. And it's entirely possible that there are games who do convey a very negative message, but the mere fact that you have a woman / black person in such a role doesn't mean that it's sexist or racist when done well.

Then again, most of those guys are probably sexually active to make up for that. I dunno, I just wanna see proof I guess.
To my knowledge, it's not so much that bad shit will happen if you don't (your body should compensate for the build-up), but that good stuff is more likely to happen if you do. Ejaculating regularly has been linked to lower rates of prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction. Frequent orgasms are also thought to help prevent heart disease, improve sleep quality and serve as a mild anti-depressant / de-stressor. As always, correlation does not equal causation, but there seems to be a decent amount of research out there in its favor and almost nothing finding it's bad.

Yeah, I'm aware of the benefits, but I'm just not really sure it's worth losing upwards of an hour of my day just to receive them (an hour that could be spent playing Dark Souls). I'm content with indulging every month or so, but I don't particularly enjoy it enough to make it the habit it used to be for me.
An hour?
