Gaming / Re: Dark Souls build recommendations« on: June 17, 2017, 01:38:58 PM »
For PVP? Oroboro's DMB build is still the most broken and OP thing in the game.
Otherwise, I'd recommend against going with spells if you want any sort of challenge. You can easily get really damn powerful and just mow down bosses from a distance by going Pyro or Sorcery. Also, Deprived isn't sl1 (Pyro is the only SL1), but it could be interesting to do a deprived build anyways. Set yourself a limit at like SL30 and try to beat the game using only rudimentary weapons and shields (like clubs) without any clothes or proper armor. Fun and not too hard. 2135

Ms. Martinez claims her husband never spoke about Hitler until approximately two years ago when he began showing signs of Alzheimer’s disease." Damn son. 2136

It's so saddening, especially on the internet. Go anywhere people discuss US/UK politics. On the first page of Bungie.net's OffTopic are these two threads. "Left wing tolerance: shooting edition. Looks like he was trying to kill as many republicans as possible. how progressive, how tolerant, how virtuous /sarc." "The republicucks just got a taste of what gun violence is. Now they run in fear. Vigilantes taking action against corrupt cuckservitards and the clown in chief now under investigation for obstruction of justice. Its over for the right wing nutjobs. RIP" Beyond pathetic how blithering retards like this just create more division by feeding completely biased misinformation to each other and do nothing but antagonize and attack "the other" with little to no nuance. 2143

Gaming / Re: E3 2017 - DUDE WHO WON?? LMAO« on: June 13, 2017, 02:06:07 PM »I suppose it doesn't make much sense to people who aren't into the game, but it's a pretty big deal for people who like (arena) FPS. Quake is an amazing esport, but has lost a lot of its wider appeal due to the relatively inaccessible nature of arena FPS for new players. As games like Overwatch, CoD, Halo, Counter Strike and such have drawn more attention due to the lower entry barrier, new releases/updates and less advantages held by veteran players, Quake has lost much of its standing. Tournaments became less frequent, viewers watched other games more, the payouts were relatively small and many of the pros ended up moving on to other games with larger audiences and bigger prizes. Quake is a bit like Smash in that sense, with no real money or effort put into it from the developer's side. Now, 12 years after Quake 4, we're seeing another Quake which will be free to play and have a lot of features that modern audiences like. The fact that id and Bethesda are now committed to get on the esports train and fully support the game is great news and might mean a proper revival of the Arena FPS genre by drawing in tens of thousands of viewers, high profile names and heaps of players.Bethesda - 10/10 for Quake tournamenti relayed this opinion to a couple guys i was watching a few of the conferences with and they gave me the most confused expression For reference: imagine that Nintendo would say that they have no plans to make another Smash after 4. Then, many years later, when the community has shrunk and tournaments are small, far and few between, Nintendo would not only announce a new Smash game which looks great, but would also say they now fully support the esports scene, will have more competitive features, and will kick it off by hosting a massive $1,000,000 Smash tournament inviting players from all over the world. That's pretty much what's happening to Quake now, and it explains why a lot of people are damn hyped. 2148

Latest update!
Patch Notes – CBT 10 (E3 Build) Welcome to the Quake Champions Beta! We’ve made a lot of changes in this build, many of which we just revealed at the Bethesda E3 Showcase! The first big change is that beta is now open 24/7! That means you can just in and play any time you want, unless we have a maintenance window or are deploying a future patch. We’ll keep you in the loop about any planned outages. We’ve also added a LOT of goodness. Here’s the list of other new additions that you can check out right now: NEW Champion: B.J. Blazkowicz added to the Champion roster! • Dual Wield (Active) BJ calls for back-up and answers his own call. Double [censored] weapons, BJ takes turns firing them in rapid succession to lay down some heavy fire, but he will burn through some serious ammo to do so. • Regeneration (Passive) BJ can regenerate any damaged health inside one 25 HP block, if he doesn’t receive damage for 3 seconds. • Stats: • 100 / 100 HP • 25 / 50 AP • 310 -> 560 ups • Customizations includes 3 outfits and 1 vanity item. NEW Weapon: • New weapon added – The Tri-Bolt! o The Tri-Bolt fires three bolts armed with timed explosives. Each bolt fires in quick succession, allowing the user to concentrate or spread the fire as needed. NEW Maps: - Lockbox added -- a new Ithagnal themed arena for Sacrifice, Team Deathmatch, and Deathmatch - Blood Run added -- a new Volkerh themed Duel arena - Corrupted Keep added -- a new Goroth themed Duel arena Custom Game: - Party with friends to play private matches on the arena and game mode of your choice! - Party Leaders can pre-configure teams in the Match Lobby by dragging players between pillars. - Start Match button will be disabled if the amount of players present is lower than required - Start Match button will be disabled in Duel mode if players don’t have 3 Champions available NEW Spectator Mode: • Spectator mode added within Custom Game! o Invite friends to your party and drag them to the Match Lobby Spectator Box to allow them to spectate the match. o Spectators can toggle camera modes between players, rooms, and free-float by pressing [L. SHIFT]. o Players can cycle through players or rooms with [LEFTARROW] and [RIGHTARROW] or by pressing [1]-[0] number keys for specific players or rooms. o Spectators can press [X] to toggle x-ray outlines to see players locations through walls to help follow the action. Main Menu UI: • Added Tutorials section. • Updated Loot Box Store • New Shader Customization preview icons (now correctly matching their patterns) NEW Tutorials: • We have added the first three videos in our series of Beta Tutorials – “Welcome to Quake Champions,” “Health, Armor, & You: Controlling Your Stack,” and “Power-Ups: Turning the Tides of War.” • These videos are currently accessible by clicking the Movie icon on the Main Menu. In-game: • New initial spawn points in Duel for Ruins of Sarnath • Adjusted item placements on all maps affecting all modes • Fix for not being able to pick-up armor shards or the Soul until only after their bounce animation ends Music: • Added new music set for the Dimension of the Doomed (Goroth themed maps: Burial Chamber, Corrupted Keep) • Added music set for the Netherworld (Ithagnal themed maps: Lockbox) Known Issues: • A party of more than two players may enter a Duel lobby. The Start Match button is not disabled if the extraneous players remain present on the pillars instead of being moved to Spectator. Players who are still stuck on the podium after two Duel players are selected will be presented with an error message that you've been "kicked from the match." Upon receiving this error, you will need to restart the client to continue playing. 2157

Game has had a running and constantly updated beta for weeks now. The NDA has long been lifted so there's people streaming it 24/7 while id has been doing Q&A sessions and stuff like that. Other than showing some new maps/champions/game modes down the line, there really isn't anything major left for them to reveal at this point. Aside from the obvious release date, because that'd be nice to know. 2160
