One small error I've spotted, but it's fine for the most part. Uploading now.

did you mean to lock this?
Yeah, all intentional. Figured I'd best start a new thread for an entirely different playthrough since it now has videos too.

Feedback seems positive enough that I'll try getting out a next video sooner rather than later. I just seem to struggle with finding the right balance between showing the progress / gameplay that actually matters and talking about random trivia and cool stuff in the area.

I actually didn't know some of this stuff. Cool. Good video. Just speak up a little and don't be so nervous and self conscious.
Yeah, I'm sure I'll get more used to it if I do more videos.

good shit

I didn't know you could see the Stray Demon that early, which is odd, because it seems like such a conspicuous location. Guess I know where I'm headed back to now!

I'm jealous of the picture-in-picture stuff you have going on. That's one thing that WMM lacks, which really sucks.

Only thing—I'm assuming you're only grabbing the items you think you'll absolutely need for this run anyway, but I hope you try to keep discussion of the game's secrets to a minimum, if you can avoid it. Talking about how the Stray Demon can be seen early on is fine, but talking about how you'll end up fighting him later is something I maybe would've preferred figuring out by myself, assuming I didn't already know. It's not a big deal, but given that you're speaking in a manner that assumes the viewer doesn't know a lot about Dark Souls, I think that's a reasonable suggestion.

You can do what you want, though—this was a splendid first video.
Fair point, I'll do my best to avoid major spoilers / secrets about the later parts of the game.

Nice. Actually learned a few things watching, and I thought I'd played this game to death.
Interested in more? I'm sure I've got a lot of things coming you probably don't know about.

The beginning is quite loud, so mind that.

YouTube

Be gentle friends, it's my first time doing this and I'm not the biggest fan of voice chat. I realize I sound a bit grim and unenthusiastic for much of this, but I'll do better next time around. Editing / sound levels aren't perfect either, but I'll try to improve in my next video (if anyone is interested in a follow up, that is).

Hope you guys enjoy.

i know this song and dance too well

as much of a joke as it is, i praise WMM for its simplicity and ease of use

it saves me a lot of headaches with the new-fangled stuff
It just takes a while to render, so I hope it's got it right this time. I'm doing this in 1080p 60FPS, so it's like an hour to render a video.

Something went wrong with rendering it and parts of the video got all glitchy. Changed some settings and am trying again now.

Does PC gaming hardware always have to look like an LGBT flag or a Christmas tree? Is there one manufacturer that has that minimalistic aesthetic rather than putting baby-toy lights on everything?

You can change the lights fool or even turn them off shut the fuck up
I asked if there is Gaming hardware for adults, not how to take the batteries out. Same goes for mice. Is there a 200k+ DPI mouse that doesn't have the obnoxious "Super rad dope dank LEDs ZOMG take my 399.99 now pls" lights?
200k a typo? Highest DPI on any mouse I'm aware of is 12,000.

HAHAHAHAHA

good luck
As in "it'll take a lot longer than you think"?
that seems to be the trend with my videos at least
Looks like you were right but for different reasons. It's midnight and I'm only just coming back from a work dinner that lasted much longer than I expected. I don't even have the time to download, install and set up Dark Souls and DSfix, so making a video isn't in the works for tonight still.

Rest assured though, I'm pretty excited to do this. Been wanting to do some gaming videos of my own for like 10 years now, so this is something I'm gonna do. Hopefully tomorrow.

Hm, fair enough. I'll try to make it short. Like just the Asylum or something.

I was planning on recording some stuff tonight, but Steam seems to have thwarted that.

That dirty bitch
Yeah. Just not too keen on paying the standard price (even if it is $20) for a game that I already own several copies of on different platforms and that is now twice as expensive as the GOTY edition of its sequel just to give this video making a go. Pretty disappointing.
bawk bawk bawk
Pretty counterproductive, but you're always welcome to just buy it for me.
arent you some sort of supreme justice in the court of eu internal affairs or some shit flee just buy it you cheapskate
I bought it so you better fucking like, comment and subscribe for every video.

Wait, is Dark Souls not discounted?
II and III are, but not the first one

it's currently $20 though, so i guess they figure it's already cheap enough
Fuck that. It's been discounted every previous sale. DS2 is now cheaper than DS1 and DS3 is pretty much the same price.

>not killing asylum in the first encounter.

Now add some commentary to the next vids, I want you to confirm what I think you sound like.
I actually might if enough people are interested. I've talked to random in Overwatch and am slowly getting over my irrational fear of voice chat.

I feel ya on the voice chat, I get the same way for some reason. I rarely talk unless I'm with someone I know and then it's not so bad.
You're a native speaker though, aren't you?

Yessir.
I guess that for me it's just the not being a native speaker that makes it somewhat daunting, I suppose.

Yeah I'm sure I'm just channeling my fear of public speaking.
Guys nobody fucking cares man up
This is like therapy man gtfo
